  • Greetings Crafty Friends!
Thanks for stopping by! Today, I wanted to introduce you to a fun template I made that allows you to use all the small stamps that you have in your stash. This template is very much like the turnabout stamps you see from Concord & Ninth. I have a few of them and I absolutely LOVE their stamps.
This template allows you to position all the small stamps you have and create a fun pattern and the images don’t overlap.
Let me know what you think of this and if you’d ever use something like this. I hope you like the video!
As always, thank you for leaving a comment if you wish, asking questions and sharing. I love collaborating!
Thank you for liking, subscribing, sharing and commenting.

I looked at your template, and put a piece of junk mail upside down on my scoring board. I LOVE it! I have been using temporary adhesive and putting my card panel, or card base on the template. At the moment, I am using 4 snowflakes. I managed to arrange them so they create a rectangle for a sentiment to be embossed in the center.
I have used small hearts and stars for birthday cards. I created the template a week or 2 ago, and I have done 15 or so panels/bases with it. I had another project that had a deadline of this past Saturday.
I have done a lot of random stamping. I find this so quick and easy that I am doing a lot of embossing.

@@KathyaKalinine I sent them to the email address on your blog. I have been working on cards for the USO, so there are lots of snowflakes. 1 picture is simply a set of backgrounds. I tried using the template, and using a 4x5.25 paper. It allowed for 2 turns. Temporary adhesive is now my friend. I see this template being a regular part of my mass production cards.

Wow, that's a great idea to create a template (it can be customised to suit the size of stamps we'd have in our collections). I'm new to turnabout stamps, but knew there had to be a "magic formula" on how to get it all to line up. Will definitely be working on this as I love using small stamps to make my own backgrounds, tfs Kathya

Yes, it’s pretty straightforward. You just need a software application that will allow you to move and group objects around. I used Microsoft Publisher, but you can use PowerPoint, too!

Another fantastic tool Kathya! I'm not good with the computer (I read in the comments that you used Microsoft Publisher) but I think by following your very clear instructions I should be able to make something pretty similar manually....or maybe I'll have to "recruit" my technical support person aka husband 😉 to help. Thanks for sharing your ingenious ideas. IMHO it's the sharing by people such as yourself that makes the crafting community so fantastic

Anther cool tool to have. So, if you want a different layout would you circle different numbers on the quadrant for the stamps to be placed on as long as they don't overlap? You sure are amazing making templates, I don't think I could think deep enough to create a template! Great job... bravo!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 your cards are pretty also !!

    • @KathyaKalinine

PAM JOHNSON Hi Pam! Thanks for watching. So, good question but no. The numbers in each color quadrant are already circled for you. The pattern is not something I invented. It is a mathematical tool I found that allows you to repeat patterns without them overlapping. I just made a version of my own. So, as long as the image you choose fits in the square of each quadrant, you won’t have any issues with the pattern. I hope that answers your question. 😊

Hi, Kathya. I like your pattern maker idea. Your card with the embossing came out beautifully! I was thinking maybe you could add some lines between the stamped images in the same four colors to create a plaid? Might work? Great creativity!!
