The Liqui-Moly Air Flow Sensor Cleaner is a special active solvent for fast and gentle cleaning of sensitive components of the air flow sensor in both petrol and diesel engines. It distinguishes itself by means of a very fast evaporation that is free of residues. It is important to clean the components of the air flow sensor as dirty components can give incorrect readings for calculating the fuel/air mixture, this can be effected by a dirty hot wire or hot plate in the air flow sensor. This can impair the starting and idling properties of the vehicle, which in turn can effect the engine performance and fuel consumption.

So dealership wanted £75 to run diagnostic check....£200 for new maf sensor and £100 labour....grand total £375!!.....no thanks !!
I bought a diagnostic tool £26 of Amazon that confirmed P0101 Mass Air Flow problem....then i bought this cleaner again of Amazon for £8.99....5 min i had the sensor off and cleaned it twice in 30 min and engine runs perfect. A nice saving of £340

I have a periodic running rich code in my Touareg TDI. Going to give this a try in case it’s not sensing the correct air flow. Used it before and generally use it every time I service the car and change the air filter.
