In the mid 70s I was a gold miner in the mountains of CA. Unmarried, but with 3 kids. Living in the wilderness I longed for the company of human adults...companionship. Where I was not even a battery operated radio got signals until about 8:30pm. It was Garner Ted Armstrong---only signal available. I believed in God, but didn't go to church. A radio preacher was the last thing I wanted to hear, but he was different others, so I listened. It got so I longed to hear his program He was eloquent and he brought me to God. He never sold anything, but always gave away free stuff. Today I pastor a Presbyterian church and I'm 83. This recording brought back a lot of memories and I still agree with him. Bless you Garner Ted--and thanks.

I miss GTA so much! I listen to many of his sermons over and over again and it never fails that I seem to gain more insight each and every time I listen. He truly was gifted from God! I plan to visit the grave and with your helpful video you have made it very easy to find. Thank you and may God richly bless you!

He was in Des Moines just 6 short weeks before he passed. The feast was very hard that year.

His death was annoying as the medication given to him for his hospitalization for pneumonia caused a reaction which killed him.

To anyone interested, here is a video of a sermon given this past Sabbath by Micheal Armstrong, grandson of Garner's, recently ordained and a really nice guy. ruclips.net/video/0v95j4y87vc/видео.html

GTA would say many interesting things about the Israel Hamas war. He had many contacts in the middle east.

GTA was a very knowledgeable bible teacher. Although I didn't agree with his interpretations on everything he was very sharp.
