Hola! Soy boricua! (Hi, I'm Puerto Rican). I grew up in Baltimore, so I can't speak too much Spanish. Mostly English! But I like watching videos about my culture.
A lot of people still say gufiao, what's he on? Broki is the one I haven't heard in ages.
remember when pronouncing/reading spanish, theres only 5 vowel sounds unlike english where the same vowel can have multiple sounds like 'sea' and 'see'. It's always short versions of vowels.
a like in cAt or Owl or Out
e like in Exelent or wEst
i like in In or bEE
o like in cOpper or stOp
u like in lOOk or bOOk or
sigle r is pronounced like in the word utter (tt)
ñ is pronounced 'ny' think lasagna
(lasaña in spanish)
ch is sh like the word sure
h is always silent
j is pronounced like h
hahaha would be jajaja (pronounced the same)
y is somtimes pronounced like ee but sometimes pronounced like j
yo [jo] (means I)
estoy [eh sto ee] (means I am... but without the I 🤷)
when you see gue or que ignore the u
when you see güe dont ignore it
my name is an exeption cuz is not really spanish
in english ! and ? only goes at the end but in Spanish sentences also start with the simbols

Many of the words in our vocabulary has its roots in Africa abombao is one of them ,we also got another one that is "jurutungo" which is when you don't know and address for example: she live at the jurutungo 😂😂
