I was so glad when I saw this because Leomon was always not strong enough and kinda hopeless, and this time it's his mega form and it's sorta an ally to the Royal Knights meaning it's god tier powerful, I just love seeing all kinds of mega form Digimon introduced in Data Squad

WRONG. He was one of the "Sacrificed himself, but got better" Leomon deaths. There have been a few fakeouts that got better before the end of the series. One of them was actually in Frontier - Koichi's Beast Spirit form in english was called Jagerloweemon, but in Japanese... it was Kaiserleomon. But even ignoring all of that... Digimon Adventure 2020 actually features the unthinkable; a Leomon who just straight up never dies. No fakeout, no great injury to recover from. He's just... fine. All the way through to the end.
