Best SAO Yet || Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris Review

My review of Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris which covers the arc of the same name from the anime. It eventually branches off to do its own thing and introduces a new original character Medina Orthinanos. This was my favorite arc so far so let's see how well the game tells the story and if there has been any improvements since the last SAO game.

Dude! Awesome job on the review! Thank you! All the others I tried watching, you can tell the reviewers are always expecting Square Enix level games. They don’t really care about the series. You do! Now I’m definitely buying this game!

If configured correctly, the PC version would be much better choice with no fps drops and much smoother experience.

Best SAO game, once they fix the optimization issues it wil be a no brainer. Story is surprisingly gopd and kept me engaged..and the combat..its like Hollow Fragment perfected and streamlined. Loving it.

@@7dayspking ​At least in story department, it's inferior to HR with writing issues. I didn't play the HR yet so I don't know, but based on what I heard, it depends on your taste. Fundamentally, it's the same as HR gameplay, but with more emphasize on strategy and action-orient. I think it's more fitting since Underworld isn't an MMORPG game in-series to be have MMO-style gameplay, so the combat is more grounded.

This review is like every SAO game; long winded. I get you're a fan, but we potentially already have enough cutscenes to watch without yours within a review. It was 90% about the story and characters and 10% game play. We already know these characters and the type of story expected here. Every SAO is expected to be story dense so the game play changes are what makes them all different and quite honestly, for myself at least, that's more important. If I just wanted story, I'd watch the anime.
I mean no real offense by this but it was meant to criticize and hope it was constructive.

@@nemluka I feel like the review was more or less evenly split between the points I wanted to talk about - story, characters, exploration/side quest, progression, combat, and minor issues. Saying 90% is about story and characters is clearly an exaggeration but at the same time, lol come on. It really seems like all he was looking for was everything except the narrative elements.
