It's because they can't make it past the chapter 1 suffering. Whoever designed chapter 1 should be shunned from the gaming industry. The sad part is chapter 2 and on the game is decently solid.
I mean he didn't even go in to heart 2 heart chats or affinity, or any of the systems that get unlocked in chapter 2 like multiplayer which is kinda a big one.
The Dev still not developed completely ..... Game it’s stuck on 2000 ...... they should attend a course to update theme skill,,,,,,

Let’s be honest, no one’s gonna be pleased until they release a full SAO game with all floors, fully open world and equal to the first season of the anime. Except flatscreen or even modern VR tech.
For some context the game would have at least 80 hours of content, including side quests.
With the same graphics as breath of the wild, just more anime like. And just as open world as BOTW.
And the game would probably retail at around 70-80$.
Until they release a game like that, most ppl aren’t gonna be pleased with the SAO games to come.

I mean there’s a game like that rn on the phone, I think they have gotten it to floor 30 now, with each floor having story and a customizable character, it’s actually pretty good but it does get boring since the grinding is kinda annoying

All flrs? That's not gonna happen. Too risky and very expensive for a company. Maybe if you divide it up to 5 flrs per game then maybe it's possible. But all flrs? Nah. It's just not feasible. Unless they put TONS of microtransactions just like the mobile game Integral Factor or maybe paid dlcs per some flrs (assuming the maps are huge of course).

The reasons why today’s Anime games don’t have English voices because Bandai dropped out the R1 anime distribution industry years ago, which is where they pulled in most of their voices for the video games division. Nowadays they only dub the games that are expected to pull in a large amount of profit like anything from the Tales franchise.
How did he get 'Kir-ree-toe' from 'Kirito'? I get that plenty of Japanese names and words can be difficult but Kirito is about as simple as it gets.

Game has potential. If they do it right and fix somethings (which they will with future updates ) the game is only gonna get better from this point on
I'm playing this game because I love SAO, and thr world looks very good however the character control and the world physics feel very annoying. (Kirito and eugeo have the same animations, when you run and he is following you looks like having a clone with you, even copies the sheath sword animation, when you run into a wall thw characters keep running, pressing the attack button into objects, people, walls, trees always the sword goes through the asset, that kind of physics is something that old psp games had but having that in all the recent anime games feels very weird, and they sell you the game at full price plus dlc...
Don't get me wrong, I love the series, the plot, and I have played so many hours into the game at the moment, I just would love they put more attention to details in these kind of games.

No not rlly, I would say the only very long cut scenes are when a chapters about to end and each chapter can take up to 10hours- any other time after 10due to grinding if needed to
I wish we could get a proper high end Sword Art game, rather than a cookie cutter JRPG.
Ive been hoping we get one for years. One kinda like skyrim mixed with better combat like for honor. Where you can do anythng you could in aincrad like open a shop get a house,Pvp,guilds, Dungeons and 100 Floors with each one being different like the show.

@@erdemkilic60 yeah, that's why I replied to you, the only thing close to aincrad is the mobile game integral factor, but the official Sao VR game might be taking so long, they've been working on it for over 4 years, because they might also be adding story as well. At the very least we have 2 sao VR games which is project aincrad and another one that's about to come out that also looks awesome made by a channel named SiFu, they're both community made games by small talented teams so they're great games but limited at the moment, project aincrad is getting constant updates and floor 2 is about to come out alongside I think improvements for the floor 1

Man the animation looks really bare bone. Like fck man, its full-priced games. Make it looks good at least.
Good review, most people didn’t review it, so it’s hard to find anything about it really. Did you slow some of the gamplay down at all? Near the end of combos there seemed to be like 4-5 seconds where the character just stood there doing nothing. And in the end shot when Kirito was falling after taking that attack he was falling super fucking slow it looked like. I’ve heard there were issues with the load times and at some points the frame rate, but a recent post by Bandai has stated they are working on those things.
What you witnessed there is the god awful fps drops this game is plagued with, the director and bamco has already acknowledged the severe performance issues and are working on a patch set to be out by the end of the month.
@@azurekite4694 Those aren't frame drops. The combat is intentionally slow moving to allow players to take advantage of the many reaction based mechanics in the game, and characters fall slowly because there are many moves that get bonuses for hitting airborne enemies. Frame drops cause choppiness, not slowdown. Not to say that the game doesn't occasionally experience drops, but it seems a lot of players are misinterpreting the combat speed as a technical issue.
It will be more cooler if the protagonist is "us/player" just like in AoT 2 Final Battle, instead they use Kirito as the protagonist.
Well it does give you the option to customize him/her and make him your own character after you do enough in the game, so in a way it does allow you to be the actual protagonist.

Sure but that price point is atrocious. 60 to 70 dollars for a game that isn't even well optimized now is nothing short of a rip off. I'll consider it when the price drops and when those patches come just not right now

hollow fragment and fatal bullet are decent and i here this one is better, the rest are mediocre to straight up awful (lost song)

Fatal Bullet is pretty good but that's as far as my knowledge goes with the games. I've heard this one is mixed. I've heard it's really good but also really bad. In any case, I would wait for the price to drop on this one. Shit is way too expensive for it's own good

I disagree with everything here. The previous sword art games were fun j rpgs; this is just everything frustrating in a j rpg. Even if you can interact with something it overlays so much I don't know where to go or if it's 500 or 50 away. I started playing again today and now I remember why I moved onto the new fairy tail game instead.

Why can't we get a solid anime crossover to game? I don't get it. Anime's like SAO, Danmachi, and so on should allow for some fantastic games but we just never get a solid one. Makes no sense.
Got a refund on this game and used it for Ghost of Tsushima. This games a low 5/10 and needs lots of work to be enjoyable. Combat is NOT fluid at all. Fatal Bullet is much better.

Combat looks sloppy and slow with making up with high visual effects, more time spent in customization and visuals then combat. Ill pass
It feels like they missed a lot for the review. in the technical part the game is just poorly optimized. The frame rate is awful even in the xbox one X, and there are an awful quantity of loading screens. This is actually the worst problem, as they mentioned in the review there are long story bits every few minutes but with awfully long loading screens in between. If you have nothing but time to waste then it shouldn’t be a problem. But if you want to play like and hour or so your going to be tied to loading screens and dialogue. And you have to suck it all up because this freaking game autosaves almost never, so you have to wait to save and then quit the game. The combat is really slow compared to other SAO games, it’s not as grindy as you do less combat. But definitely slower than other games in the franchise. Sad, it could have been a fun game. I suppose if you have tons of patience it can still be for some people.
pc run better if you had power pc.... but it just not a good game.... i more like if you can not wait for anime so you can play this for time being... but it a waste of time.... something to kill time while waiting for ghost of tsujima...
They have announced a patch for these issues late july so hopefully it gets better

You didn't even show off the true combat system beyond what you see in the first opening hours. SMH, if you watched the anime just skip all the cut scenes till CH 2

well... game hasnt even been out for 2 weeks and its already getting a final verdict thats crazy. I havent played the game yet but I do plan on getting it no matter what purely for my love of SAO itself, bad game or not. Also please learn how to pronounce his name correctly I already know all the comments saying how you mispronounced it but like..bruh if you wanna do a final verdict on a game thats been out for 8 days you should probably learn how to say one of the main protagonists names correctly.
