- Despite some positive criticism, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has flown under the radar since its launch. Its share of flaws notwithstanding, I appreciated the unique story-telling approach and the solid gameplay. The gorgeous visuals and impressive soundtrack also didn't hurt.
The Sky Breaker seemed like it could go in a fresh direction with a focus on the Great Games, but opted for a safer approach by reintroducing the RDA as villains. Not the biggest surprise if you've seen the movies, but the relatively lackluster "new" enemies or gameplay twists, uninspired loot, and spotty AI didn't make for the most engaging gameplay.
Though the DLC looks gorgeous and offers a decent enough distraction, especially for those who can't get enough of the base game, it's a step down in almost every other department.

For how beautiful the game is and how much they captured being na’vi and pandora I really wish they would’ve went deeper with the gameplay and mechanics.
I agree. It's like they had a beautiful work of art with the open world and visuals and then the actual people who were to make it into a game with missions and characters just finger painted all over it lol. People call it far cry with blue people but the sad truth is so much of the gameplay and the mechanics are either generic or were done better even in far cry

@@FengBaoYolotli alright lol, I'll phrase it as being my opinion but I think that far cry did a lot of the games core better. Weapon variety, stealth, acting, etc. You can feel differently ofc, but even if Avatar is prettier I think far cry 6 even is a bit more fun. Again just my personal opinion. Nothing really happened in the world of Pandora. Was lush and pretty but that was all for the most part.

This game is really amazing. I think the average gamer doesnt know what they like or want. This game nails everything people have been wanting , but because there is no hype behind it people wont give it a chance i guess. NPCs need a streamer to tell them what to play
One of the most amazing and beautiful gaming worlds I have experienced. I felt like a navi, adventuring across pandora while opposing the hostile humans. And the exploration!! Its off the charts GREAT!! Exploring the floating mountains alone is unbelievable and a blast. And there are a plethora of other things to explore!
Man I have never fallen in and out of love with a game as quickly as Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Everything that is there is great, but it's the same thing OVER AND OVER AND OVER

I am a huge fan of the Avatar movies so everything about this game makes me so happy.
The dlc expanded on the main games story in a good way, I just wish they deepened the gameplay in some way.
Either way, I enjoyed this expansion a lot
Honestly playing as the rda in the first game was awesome with all the vehicles and weapon unlocks,if they did that again they would of had anmuch better game

I loved the main game! Amazing open world! I'm really enjoying the DLC as well 🤩
Literally the best parts of this game is the visuals and superb soundtrack.
This game is absolutely gorgeous, it handles very well, flying and parkour are super fun, and overall it's very fun to play, especially if you like to craft and explore.
However, the story is mid, NPCs are little more exciting than cardboard, most of the characters are flat, some minor quests are broken, and there are frame rate issues. I only really liked one character (guess who...)
Overall it was definitely a good game, but nothing more. While playing it stuck me in many areas that if Ubisoft really wanted it, this could have been a fantastic game... But it's Ubisoft so that's a lot to ask.
Lot to ask? Ubisoft has made plenty of fantastic games that people still play today. Fans are toxic. It's like you guys are robots and repeat the exact same toxic things just to be a part of a group. smfh

This DLC is more of a like a contract obligation than something derived out of passion and creativtity like Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree.
Never even finished the main game. Not really interested. It was pretty, but got boring after doing the same 2 or 3 things over and over. Talking to the terrible DEI hire NPCs, with the eye rolling self insert commentary story.... added up to a snoozefest.
you know i kinda liked the game and i really wanted to love it more but i couldn't. i put in about 30 hours and then after some certain missions i just quit playing because i lost total interest. i wont be buy the DLC
yeah f you had other objectives other than take down strongholds for the mission's that's all the base game was we stopped it then the RDA comes back oh look no new gameplay Mechanics or new mission type's. everything about the game is pretty good other than how repetitive it is. it needs mods for weapons to be more balanced/ affective and new primal weapon's ETC this game is like a 8 out of 10 with ART design and exploration and its a 4 out of 10 every where else.

Game had a lot of potential like Mirage. But couldn't because of typical Ubisoft 😡
Beyond the content, character movement is so slow but turning/looking is so fast. This feels disorienting and immersion breaking for me. Navi are agile and cat-like. This is clunky

@@ChrisJohannsen not at all. For the past couple years I’ve been playing more and more VR games. I pretty much only play games in VR now thanks to the UEVR mod.

PS5 barely run this at 30 fps upscaled 4K (1200p) and U expect this to run at Wii ? lol
Unless U mean they might use different engine with 360p & 30 fps with dips to 15 fps.. then yeah Lol
@@Jack_Sparrow131 PS5 run the game at 1080 60 fps quality mode 30 fps upscaled to 1440p it don't run a native 1440p let alone upscaled 4k the gpu in a PS5 is equal to a 2070/6700 that's the recommend requirements for 1080P high Graphic's setting. not ultra.
Reckon this would have been 10x better as an assassins creed re-skin rather than a far cry re-skin, would that not have made way more sense with the climbing n parkour possibilities as well as difference it would have made to melee and ranged combat? Would be sooo much better with a 3rd person opt
I liked it but there’s some aspects that needs improvement as a big fan of the avatar series I’m happy with the game and was very surprised with a new part of pandora to explore that’s stunning wish the story was more immersive and longer and I did like putting a end to the main boss even if they were a pushover but I paid a lot of attention to dialogue bios and lore and that’s what made taking them out satisfying
it would have been better to go to the sea like the way of water.
I don't know if you like the ubisoft open world formula and kinda survival games then you will enjoy this game. To other gamers who experienced so many games this game and expansion would feel ok. As a person who owns all platforms it's passable.
Great expectations almost always lead to great disappointments. Anyway, can you tell me what is required to get to lvl 25? currently at lvl 24 and the lvl 25 baddies are overpowered to me. Thanks, if you can help me with my question's answer.
As a Far Cry fan, I enjoyed the game enough. 73/100

I want to by this game and all the dlc but I got ubisoft plus on series x to give the game a shot but it still crashes my series x till this day constantly so sadly I stopped my subscription and haven't touched the game again so please fix the crashing issue and I will gladly throw my money at you also I find it funny star wars outlaws has the crashing problem so it's a no for me on that game to

The lack of marketing around the game makes it clear that Ubisoft knew it didn't have a great product from the beginning.

Personally, each Far Cry game is re-skinned game with better graphics and more guns or whatever
This game is like 40% far cry, and 40% Ubisoft formula (camps capturing and upgrade system..etc)
20% is avatar, include all the jungle & lore..etc, despite that, I call it the best avatar game & even surpasses Far Cry games (which are not great to start with).. Avatar is like 8 out of 10, it could reach 9 if they change the gameplay & formula, 8/10 means a good rating tho

Game was incredibly mid. Very repetitive open world activities, cringey annoying characters, poor mission variety (infiltrate a base x20), plenty of wokeness… I had to force myself to finish the main game

@@TheLuckyShepherd women in majority of leadership roles in both RDA & resistance, warriors & soldiers are mostly women, 90% of the women look like dudes or ugly af, strong female 2nd in command antagonist of course escapes with zero consequences for her actions while evil bad white man antagonist is left behind to die, token gay relationship mission… all the usual stuff. If the game was actually good, I’d look over it, but it’s not, it’s painfully uninspired in everything apart from visuals.

@davidfrazier6308 yep for example the carry the butterfly mission. Would be fine once. For a change of pace and to admire the world slowing down. The problem is Ibiaoft do those things and then repeat it until your soul is crushed and by the end you do another one of the same mission type or collection feeling like you want to scream inside. They need more inventiveness and variety. More bespoke side quests and missions. Their games are always clear the enemy camps and collect stuff ad nauseum, and in some way find a way to highlight the map. It's really dull. I have went right off Ubisofts design. Especially after playing Baldurs Gate 3 and even The Witcher 3.
tbh I would be more interesting if we had marines campaign like in avatar game from 2009, then for sure I would buy the base game. Im so tired of playing as rebels over and over again.

There is a big that lets you play in 3rd person, though aiming is unreliable, you are invincible, and collecting things can force you to restart. It is really only good for parkour and exploring
