14.5 lbs! target weight was the Gibson EDS-1275 at 14 lbs but went a bit over. Wood was more dense but was able to reduce the weight by hollowing out the central section
This is an awesome build mate, but I would like to know why you chose to sandwich figured walnut in between those veneer top & bottom pieces? Seems like a waste of good wood, probably made it heavier than necessary too, could've just used poplar or basswood for a body core. Anyhow, keep up the good work, and keep Rocking! \m/
Thanks! I used a 6 prong switch then used a connection meter to confirm the in-bounds and out-bounds for the individual prong settings. Problem was the 6 prong had a small awkward looking "head" so i made some zebrawood prongs and attached it
Awesome ,and epic are a few of the things that come to mind when i saw this done, thats one hell of a Double Neck Guitar !! im not even going to ask if your able to build a Replica of Gibsons EDS-1275 Double Neck, the Alpine white one gold plating /hardware, im thinking you could build it in your sleep,LOL that being said, could or would you consider building a white Replica of Gibsons White/gold , install all of Gibsons electronics hardware, knobs, tuners, essentially an exact Replica with everything used being gibson accessories, only you building it, how much if you were to say yes to performing this job, How much would it cost a guy to have this Done sir ? your skills doing this type work is flawless, I liked how you dont take or leave anything to chance , or risk, very interested ,extremely rare to find someone that has your skill set and Talent, im betting you could build the nicest one ever produced !! the finish you put on your Double Neck looked like you could take a swim in it, the Gloss sheen was 2nd to none , very well Done sir !! I will contact you MR.Kurvy on your g-mail.com very soon, if anyone can build me a exact duplicate of what I lost and cant afford because of greedy sellers, or sellers who want me to pay for there children's college funding, I just dont have that kind of money, i stopped at a guitar center that had a white EDS just like my old one, it caught me at the worst time possible, i had just paid up all my traffic tickets, and fines, courts costs, this state suks, they bleed you dry to drive here, anyhow, i decided to stop at guitar center on my way home, bad decision, but i needed to be surrounded by guitars and fast, going there was the only thing i could think of, LOL, i couldnt believe my eyes, there it was, and for a sale price of $3,500.00 that was 3 or 4 yrs ago, it had some dings dents, scuff marks, but overall, it was sweet !! no rust, or yellowing, or crackling in the finish, i weent to court with around 3800.00 dollars on me, had I stopped there 1st, i wouldnt have went to court, because id have a EDS in my back seat on my way back home LOL, but im glad i took care of my responsibilities , which i did, but i would LOVE IT SO BAD TO HAVE ANOTHER ONE, DR. back in 2011 i had a aortic aneurism, my heart burst from the inside , essentially i was bleeding to death from the inside, DR. said me surviving it was a TRUE MIRACLE !! my sister told me during my surgery the DR. came out to give my family an updateas to my condition, my sister told me the DR. said i was in grave condition, and to be prepared to hear the worst, I cant believe i came through that, then 4 yrs later I have another brush with death, I had a pulmonary embolism , i was slowly suffocating the air coming into my body was growing less and less with each breath, it was only a matter of time, and just recently i had been diagnosed with spinal stenosis, i had surgery last sept.27th of 2023 at 9:00am at sinai Hospital, the surgery was a failure, my left foot feels like its on fire while being jabbed by a switch blade knife, then right before my surgery my younger Brother Pauly, passed away, most of my family is now in Heaven, im left with a older Brother, a younger sister , thats it, my best friend that I played guitars with his name was Joe Black you can see him on here under AWAKEN, or Joe Black with Awaken, or at the wishing well, or Joe Black plays classical music same as engwie malmsteen, Joe could run circles around malmsteen, he had some kind of wild super guitar GOD GIFT !! everyone that knew him would tell you, hes the shit,LOL, personally, Joe was so gifted he played guitar,Bass, drums, keyboards, and could actually sing, not like these night club wanna be,s that all there friends tell them there Great, when they all SUK !! Joe not only could he sing, but he knew all the words , he was just un real, we spent 19 yrs together til he passed, in fact, just this past DEC.30th, marked 17 yrs hes ben dead, but anyhow, yea, i Definitely want to get with you and see if this can happen and cost, ill leave it here, till i send you my info on your G-Mail have a Great Day MR.Kurvy !! Looks great except for the 12 string nut. The spacing between the paired strings looks to far apart. All 12 strings should not be evenly spaced at the nut.
Stupid idea for next build off, 12 string normal electric and 8 string bass. Give them something to think about. Only problem, 8 string bass partsay have to be made by others. Just like the 12 string is 6 plus 6 in a lower tuning, the bass will be 4 with 4 at a lower tuning. Haven't seen it in a build off yet
That's absolutely the BEST double neck guitar that I have ever seen.!!!!
Thanks man!
Absolutely loved to see how you book matched all the wood throughout the build, and the very original custom shape. The build quality is insane.
Thanks! Found the piece of zebrawood and designed the guitar / book match around it. Loved the curve in the quarter sawn piece
Real question what would it cost to build this in mahogany have like holy cross frets and shipped to canada..
Nice job! I like the choices of woods you used, and the simple finish lets the wood be the star, front and center. Good luck with the voting.
Appreciate it! Always a fan of clear coat on guitars. Enough styles of wood out there to avoid staining
Very cool build, I enjoyed watching this come together.
I think this looks great, very unique.
Appreciate it! First full custom design for me
Nice job! Guitar looks great!!!
Appreciate it!
AWESOME!
Estarei te seguindo pra aprender mais ,sou entusiasta de construção de instrumentos, gostaria muito de ter tanta capacidade quanto vcs ...
That's about what...16 lbs? Sounds badass.

Top demais prbns
Absolutly insane! I wish to know how you connect the pickups i'm making one but idk how to do that
Thanks! I used a 6 prong switch then used a connection meter to confirm the in-bounds and out-bounds for the individual prong settings. Problem was the 6 prong had a small awkward looking "head" so i made some zebrawood prongs and attached it
