If you can get the Vienna Beef celery salt (which you can on-line) that would be the ultimate topping. No supermarket brands can come close to the flavor.

Here's a fun little trick with celery. Drop a spear or two into a blender and blend well to a sauce. Add a little to the pitcher or your glass to taste. It will serve as a flavor booster. Umami flavor. That's because celery has naturally occurring MSG in it. Try it and you will start using celery in all its forms more often. Sooo good. 😃👍

Why not just make the mix for however many.. And add the vodka to individual taste as served? Her way makes no sense.. And makes a generic tasting mix.. Some people prefer more horseradish, some more lemon etc.. And some like heavy vodka others light.. Her way isn't conducive to individual tastes or palate.. And bloody Mary's are a drink that two people are not alike in their taste.

    Alcohol EVAPORATES.
If you add the night before and then keep uncovered overnight, you WILL have a MILDER drink.
But I also had this impression that part of Bloody Mary’s attraction, served properly, was that the vodka was carefully poured over the wall of the glass to remain on top of tomato… (?) Am I off my rocker?
