Love the way you had all the ingredients displayed (made writing them down MUCH easier!) and your simple and easy demonstration. Thanks!
I am looking forward to trying this Bloody Mary Recipe. I need to go shopping for about six ingredients. I keep fresh lemons, clam juice, horseradish, celery, shrimp, blue cheese stuffed olives, and bacon. Thanks for the recipe!
Good basic recipe on which to adjust for personal tastes. I doubled the horseradish, cut back on the hot sauce, and added a little olive brine and soy sauce.
Very nice! I like the soy sauce addition!
Delicious, it's perfect,
I tried your recipe, uncomplicated, taste very good.
This recipe was awesome taste awesome
Glad you liked it!
Interesting mix…looks delicious!!
So glad u added celery salt to the rim. I go with it in the mix but I was happy to see it.
That would be an excellent addition to a mix as well!
Your mix looks close to my favorite premix. ZingZang is what I use and add horseradish. Gonna give SLB Best Bloody Mary Mix a try. 😋
Just found this one.... I quartered the recipe and will try this.. not a Bloody Mary mix fan, but will try it at 12oz.
Cheers
Let me know what you think!
Agreed, ice waters it down to much. Great recipe. Thanks.
We made your Bloody Mary mix for Christmas Eve, and yes, it is the best Bloody Mary we have ever had. Thank you so much. 😎
Wow! So glad you and your family enjoyed it! That truly makes me happy!
Best one on you tube, awesome
Use "Zing Zang" Bloody Mary mixer. Fantastic fresh taste and a lot less hassle.
Will give it a shot!
Zing Zang used to be awesome but it waaay to celery forward and salty now
Looks yummy! Work of art!
Aww thank you!
I don't want ice cubes in mine either. I experienced for the first time and going to use your recipe to make it. Looks YUMMY!
Great! Let me know what you think.
Good Video! I really like this one because of the pitcher....Make a few drinks at a time that way! Love bloody Mary's!
This Bloody Mary will blow your mind lol.
It’s super good!
Just use Demitri's and clamato. Fantastic
Best bloody mary mix I have ever used. Used Sriracha instead of franks. Used horseradish pickles too. Jalapeno Cheddar sausage instead of Bacon. Awesome! Awesome! Brunch!
Sounds amazing!
Look's tasty
Awesome
Almost PERFECT but I'd replace the celery stalk with a pickle spear. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
love these types of videos, something i can make for a group of people when doing brunch. Post more of these if you can!
Stay tuned! Grandma Betty’s Long Island ice tea pitcher recipe coming soon!
Thanks for your interest in the videos!
@@slbdrinks Just saw your videos in the recommended tab and instantly clicked on them as I am always looking for new things to try while entertaining! Looking forward to the upcoming videos!
I tried this recipe, and didn’t realize how good a Bloody Mary could be without black pepper. Fantastic, although I was forced into one significant change: no clam juice at the store, so I used 1/2 bottle of V-8 (32 oz) & 1/2 bottle of Clamato (16 oz). Well, I also used bottled lemon juice, but no big deal there. The result is somewhat horseradish forward, but I like it. With horseradish, of course, it can range wildly in strength, depending on where it’s sourced.
I love it when folks like you make a particular recipe their own! Glad you liked it!
Very nice! Also try olive brine and bacon salt
Love that idea!
When I grow in Poland. Bloody merry was tomato juice with salt and pepper with egg yolk floating on top, and pour delicate on top vodka. You drink by drinking vodka, later egg yolk and brake in mouth and swallow... it gives nice balm like effect after vodka... and later you drink just tomato juice ... that's the best bloody merry
Ok I made it and your right it is the best infact everyone loved it !
Thank you! Glad everyone enjoyed!
Trying this recipe tomorrow morning with my wife. Thank you for the great video. BTW, I’m 52 and this will be my first Bloody Mary.
Hope you love it!
Awesome video and I love how you incorporated all the ingredients. I never had Bloody Mary but you definitely got me interested in trying one. It looked great 👍🏾
Thank you! I know all the ingredients may seem a bit odd but plz give it a try! Thanks for the kind words!
That looks really good. Love the garnishes. I guess I'm gonna have to do the math to figure out how to make only two glasses. ;-)
You can do it lol! Thanks so much!
Just made this recipe, it’s really good, but the pickle juice is slightly to strong for my taste. Added a little more v8 and it was golden
Perfect! Kudos on adjusting the recipe to adjust to your flavor profile!
Love how you pronounce Worchestershire 😂 over here we say as ‘Wuss-Ter Shire’ and some say ‘Wussster sauce’ great recipe thanks!!
This looks fantastic!
Not a big drinker of alcohol but Bloody Mary is one exception I make. I love Bloody Marys. Ever since I had the perfect Bloody Mary at a bar on the California coast, I have been attempting to recreate that delicious mix. The part that I can't figure out is there were some kind of seeds in the bottom of my glass when I finished but never have been able to determine what the seeds were. I have never had a Bloody Mary to compare with it since. It is obvious from the high quality ingredients you used that yours would be fabulous. I will go to the store and get ingredients tomorrow. Thank you for your very clear, well done video.
Thank you so much for your response! To be honest I also had a “perfect” Bloody Mary at one of our local restaurants where they serve bloodies Sunday only. I worked hard to recreate that bloody and I feel it’s pretty close. Good luck! If you find out what the seeds were I would love to know! Thanks again for checking in! Take care and best of health to you and your family!
Possibly celery seeds
Probably celery seed ,their awesome btw!!
All I'm thinking about watching this is..."Joey....Let's make some wake-up juice..."
Heck ya lol!
Looks delicious. Definitely gonna give it a go. Thanks for the vid!
Appreciate the kind words! Enjoy!
I'm opening myself up for attacks here I'm sure, but I truly don't know, so here goes,,,do you eat the garnish as you drink, or is it for looks or what? This drink looked good, Thumbs-up video ~John
Hey on this channel there are no bad questions! I think it is up to the consumer. For me, I will def eat bacon, shrimp, pickles, olives, cheese, etc while drinking a Bloody Mary. Most of the time no on the celery lol. No wrong answers, whatever makes you happy!
@@slbdrinks Thank you Sir.
By adding the clam juice, you have just made yourself a Bloody Caesar. The pickle juice and Worcestershire now makes it a Bloody Caesar withe the works. This is the #1 favorite drink up here in Canada. You can buy Motts Clamato juice in just about every store here. Hard to find this in the US but what is interesting is that Motts Clamato juice is made in the US and shipped up here. Enjoy you4 Caesar!
The way I make mine. Zing and sang mix.
Margarita mix. Mix half and half. 2 ounces of ABSOLUT vodka. Bacon strip. Celery. The reason I add margarita mix is it gives it a completely different but yet same taste. It’s absolutely amazing. Please try it sometime and let us know what you think. Keep up the great videos. Also the brand of margarita mix I use is Baja bobs
To be honest I have never heard of using Margarita mix in a Bloody Mary. I will def give it a try! That’s what I absolutely love about cocktails! There are many avenues to make a great cocktail! Thank you for the tip, appreciate your input!
@@slbdrinks for sure! Happy thanksgiving!
Looks really good. I typically just drink my bloody’s “virgin”, so no alcohol. I just like to drink them as something to drink. Again, since I just like to drink them, I always skip the garnishes. I’d also skip the clam juice too because I hate that. Everything else looks really good though. I’m curious, I like my bloody’s spicy. If I put more Franks in would that be alright, or would that throw off the balance?
I am somewhat like you. I also enjoy the Bloody Mary virgin because I like the mix. I am sure adding more Franks would be good or a bit more horseradish.
You may want to consider mixing a batch than personalize an individual glass pour. Make the pour into anything you would like it to be.
@@slbdrinks Cool thanks. I actually just ordered some pre-made mix from a company called Toma. I’ve heard that’s supposed to be really good. Maybe I’ll make up a batch of this and see how they compare.
Plz let me know what you think of the Toma. I am always up for a quick and easy Virgin Mary.
@@slbdrinks Hey, so you said you were interested in the Toma. I just got it today and tried it. I honestly don’t pretend to any kind of Bloody Mary mix expert or anything, but my impression was that it tastes very good (they have 3 different kinds. Original, mild and horseradish. I tried the original today.). Like I said, it tasted good, but for me personally…it was way too thick. I could have watered it down, but instead I actually used a strainer to strain out what basically looked like tomato pulp. After I did that it became more like flavored tomato juice and I liked that. It seems like I would like your recipe because it starts off with just a simple thin tomato juice , so I do think I’m going to give your recipe a try at some point.
I certainly appreciate you taking the time to let me know your thoughts! Not sure why it would be that thick? Interesting. The horseradish option does sound interesting to me. Thanks again.
great
I think with the addition of clam juice you made a bloody Ceasar but it still looks great
Great vid, lots of inspiration. Prefer mine with just tomato juice and less ingredients. p.s. Worcestershire sauce = "Woostah-sauce". Also much better from Lea&Perrins.
Million ways to make a good Bloody Mary! Enjoy!
Wow
I've never worked with clam juice before, how long could you safely store this mixture in the fridge before you would need to throw it out over food safety concerns?
I would go with what’s recommended on that bottle. I mix a pitcher at a time and mostly for a special occasion.
Try Chalula Chipotle hot sauce adds some smokiness
Use campbells tomato juice. Louisiana hot sauce.
whats v8 juice?
luv your comment of ridonculous!!!
LOL, have to throw one of those out every once in a while! Thank you for taking your time for us!
Looks/sounds like a great Bloody Mary EXCEPT...... My fiance is allergic to ALL shellfish, so I'll leave out the lam juice (never really liked that stuff anyway) and the skewer of shrimp.
Other than that, it looks like I'll be making this or Sunday Brunch (I'm also the cook in my house, so I'll be making everything else, too).
Ya you def want to stay away from that lol. Hope you enjoy!
Next time rim the glass with Old Bay!
A meal in a glass!
No doubt!!
BEST, but you don't use fresh-squeezed lemon juice?
I know there are a multitude of excellent BM recipes but I am partial to mine. All the best to you.
Love me a Bloody Mary for breakfast and like to dirty it up with a good pour of olive brine
Also, don't just use celery salt. Make this and keep it on hand.
1/4 c. Kosher Salt
1 tbsp. Celery Salt
1 tbsp. Granulated Garlic (not Garlic Salt)
1 tbsp. Smoked Paprika
1 tsp. Black Pepper
1 tsp. Cumin
1/4 tsp. Dry Mustard Powder
1/4 tsp. Dry Powdered Ginger
That looks great! I will try it out.
@@slbdrinks I got it from the Pioneer Woman and I dialed back the cumin by 2/3rds. It is very tasty. I can't wait to try the pickle juice addition. Great channel.
How much of this Bloody Mary Seasoning to use per glass, about a 16 ounce glass. Thanks
@@LatteBrown It is for the rim so just run a lemon around the rim and dip the glass in the mix and then fill your glass.
The mix looks delicious but I like gin, bourbon or tequila as the spirit instead of vodka
All good choices! I normally find vodka to be boring so I will def try these other choices. Thank you
Use Clamato instead of V8.
That’s the point of making it from
Scratch, you don’t use clamato
Clamato is trash compared to V8. Get outta here.
Isn't that technically a bloody caeser with the clam juice?
Was wondering the same thing...
One more step! Place 2 sliced jalapenos in a bottle of vodka 24-48hrs before use.
Gotta love Franks! Makes the best buffalo sauce hands down!
100% agree! You can always find Frank’s in my fridge!
I checked out a few of your video’s and subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work!
@@slbdrinks thanks man! Much appreciated
That's a Mary a la Milo or a Caesar .
The problem Not using ice is you just poured double the amount of mix with your tiny 1.5 oz of vodka? This is not a Bloody Mary. This is a v8 with a cap full of vodka? It’s almost a virgin blossy Mary bro.. ick
No Ice and essential ingredients... all good, except for the shrimp, but I'm open.
This is a caesar, not a bloody mary. You have just reinvented the caesar.
No clam juice, pickle juice, or horseradish!
I always say when it comes to cocktails we will all not have the same palate so you do you brother! Nothing wrong with that. Good to hear from you.
Bloody Mary’s aren’t supposed to look like you shit it out
Hmmmm, interesting observation. Ok.
Way too weak. 1/2 mix 1/2 Sobieski vodka. No Texas Ethonol...
Ahhhh jacking up the vodka, nice! Dying to try this st George green chili vodka I recently purchased in a Bloody Mary.
thats more like a bloody ceasar aint it? clam juice 🤣its even brown not red
It’s bloody delicious lol!
I fotgot what its called but some people add beef broth to their bloody marys
English breakfast, not bloody Mary 🤷😱😳🥴🤣
