Enjoying a Mott's Pickled Bean Camato Caesar right now with celery sticks right now. SO refreshing and spicy, so much more than my other favorite, Bloody Mary. Gets those taste buds reacting in such a great way!
Glad to see Bruce make's a Cesaer the exact same way I do, I must be doing it right! Matt & Steve's rimmer really does the job and who doesn't love an extreme bean!
As a young man in the tomato business (I was 19 in 1988) my father sent me to visit our major supplier in San Quintin , Baja California Norte, Mex.. The San Quintin Bay is well known for it clear, cold Pacific Ocean water that produces excellent clams and oysters. To start one of our luncheons at a restaurant on the bay, we were served a version of the Caesar. This one happened to feature finely chopped fresh clams from the local beaches. More than 30 years later I can still remember how delicious that cocktail was! I enjoyed your video and learned some things too....thanks!
Caesars... it's what's for dinner... or breakfast. As a hangover cure, garnish with a hardboiled egg, 3 bacon strips, a skewer of greasy seasoned pan fried potatoes, and buttered toast.
Just had my first caesar tonight, from a Toronto bar! Hell of a sodium bomb but im sooooo in love, hence here on youtube searching for recipes! Thanks for your video sir you make it looks so fun and cool 🤍
Thanks for letting me know about Walter's mix! I once loved Clamato, and then they started to put all the junk into it. Love this recipe! I want this seafood party in a glass! Hail Ceasar!
I've tried gin and I like it but, I've never tried moonshine in a Caesar. It sounds intriguing. Is it fortified Moonshine? Recently, I was gifted a couple bottles but they're only 40%.
BarTalk&Cocktails just the 40% moonshine. Basically in my area many local distilleries are selling young whisky as moonshine since if it is not aged a minimum of 3 years they cannot call it whisky. Some moonshine are unaged(clear) some are aged months in a cask. They are a bright and sharp sip with no oak but the spice of the grain comes through as it does in whisky. Real lovely with a rye based moonshine. As the spicyness enhances the drink well and cuts through the tomato.
Haha sorry Bruce i laughed so hard when you told the story of the hot sauce in your eye lol that's something that would happen to me haha! Great video really enjoyed it!
if anyone wants a caesar that is similar to the one he built here, just go to the "Canadian Brewhouse" when you're in Canada, they make their Caesars with an entire meal on-top of it like this
How have I never seen you on here before. I like the style of your videos, I can watch and if I am multitasking then I can just listen and still not miss much. I like the tie too. I’m thinking I’m gonna subscribe to you and anyone who watches your videos and doesn’t subscribe is doomed to shitty cocktails FOREVER lol
Oww, this comes to me as surprise, I lived in Vancouver for over a year, but never heard about this cocktail. My next vacation in Canada I will try one. maybe in your bar Bruce, but I want one with all these garnish hahaha, made me hungry. Cheers!
I’m willing to bet I’ve made over a thousand Bloody Mary’s (okay, Bloody Caesars) over the last 18 years or so. I’ve made so many that a friend watched me make one and then asked me to write down what I put in it. I told him there is probably no way you are going to have all of the ingredients, sometimes I don’t, but I wrote it down from memory (which was actually quick and easy as I make 6-8 of these a month). Here it is: 16 ounce glass - fill a third with ice and put enough vodka in to cover ice (4 ounces or so) Fill remaining with Clamato to a half inch from top of glass Fridge ingredients: Sauces (a dash or two of each): A1 thick & hearty sauce, Worcestershire sauce, wine & pepper Worcestershire sauce, coarse horseradish, tabasco, sriracha sauce, tiger sauce (spicy Asian sauce) Juices (a dash or two of each): Garlic pickle juice, spicy green bean juice, hot pickled asparagus juice, green olive juice Dry spices (a shake/pinch or two of each): Roasted red bell pepper, grated pepper, minced garlic, toasted minced onion, old bay seasoning, Montreal steak seasoning, weber roasted garlic and herb Stir lightly and then add: 3 green olives, 1 spicy asparagus spear, 1 pickled mini corn, 3 shrimp cocktail Also, sometimes if I have it: piece of crispy bacon and some red onion shavings You may need to take a sip or two to make room for the end ingredients to fit Yes, this is a sodium bomb, but the average Bloody Mary mix contains a hefty amount of salt per 4 ounce serving. I don’t go overboard with any one ingredient, just small amounts of each listed and never measure anything. I don’t do the fancy skewering of my shrimp, olives, etc. I just drop them in at the end and let the drink sit in the fridge for 10 minutes or so to let it meld (and then use a fork to poke and eat the goodies). I originally began making these to keep my girlfriend from complaining she was hungry because it always took me too long to grill. It shortly became a “thing” and now I make them every time I grill steak.
My 1st Caesar was at Caesar's Palace, hmmmmmmmmmm, about 1978-79, awesome. Next was in Vancouver, hmmmmm not a prize winner. But, undaunted, I still make 'em and order 'em when out, AM or PM. I will try a pinch of Oregano. Take Care eh
I really wanna try a clear Caesar (a Clearsar?) made from a spicy tomato-clam consomme, but I'm too damn lazy to do it myself. Some day, I'll throw a party and make a big batch of this consomme for the occasion, and blow everyone's minds with something that looks like a glass of water with a celery stick in it.

Ahhhh, The Ceasar!!!! It has been my favourite drink for many years. It must be terrible watching this video if you are not from Canada because you can't buy Clamato juice (to my knowledge). Walter's though, can be purchased online and sent to the United States. I used to drink Bloody Mary's because I don't like the taste of seafood. But whenever I ordered a Bloody Mary, I always got a Ceasar. I got sick and tired of sending them back and eventually loved them. The spicier the better. But when they started adding all those difference garnishes, yikes!!!! Just give me the drink, please!!! I only use Walter's Ceasar mix now (thank God they came out with this) and just add salt, pepper and lime. Fabulous!!! I will say, though, when I was in New Orleans, they make a bloody great Bloody Mary!!!! Great video, everyone!!! Hail Ceasar!!!!!

What? No snit on the side!? With all that food you need some beer to wash it down. Love your videos. You're like a cross of PeeWee Herman and William Hickey.
You lost me at "just one drop" of Tobasco. It's about 4 dashes too short! Oh well, different strokes for different folks. Hey, if you wanna elevate your Caesars to another level, try adding some bacon flavoured hot sauce! You can get it at Superstore; President's Choice makes it. And you can certainly be more liberal with it than "just one drop" as it's not very hot- maybe around the same level as Frank's Red Hot. Ever since trying it, I just have to add bacon hot sauce to all my Caesars, because it's so damn good! It really is an improvement on something you thought was perfected already. It's almost like a cold Manhattan-style clam chowder that you don't have to chew. Oh, and did I mention I like bacon hot sauce in my Caesars?
Bacon flavoured hot sauce?! I’ll have to whip some up for the crew as it sounds like it’s right up their alley. Thanks for the suggestion! I may just try a sip as I’m a vegetarian. Ooh the guilt! Ha. Cheers
@@darrylb5373 Glad to hear it. Montreal Steak Spice mixed 50/50 with celery salt makes a nice rimmer too. The steak spice is a bit chunky, so I recommend grinding it a bit if you have the means. Don't forget the prawns and bacon strips for garnish! Can't go wrong with a crab leg in there either, lol. Other additives some people like include horseradish and pickle brine. Suit yourself man. Just let the caesar flow... *feel* the caesar!
I'm American, but I love using 50/50 Clamato and V8 in my Bloody Mary's...I guess they're hybrid Caesars/Mary's lol...the key ingredient in mine is PICKLE JUICE!!!
I want to hang out with him! Just love him!!! We’d be best friends I just know it! I’m crossing the border! You’re right, so much lighter than a blood Mary and you get to eat and drink at the same time!!!

Ha. Cheers
I just made my first caesar tonight... and then found this.. mind blown. Gonna go buy this now.
@@balzonurchin gonna try that.. I really didn't want to try clamato.. but it works so well.
...you're a rather JUMPY kinda fella...sooo...you getting Tabisco BackSPLASH...is HIGHLY PROBABLE
True that. Ha

8oz of Vodka? Gimme the recipe for a Reindeer juice!
Try it with beef or chicken broth.
MMMMMMMMMMM! 😋😋😋
Beef mato doesn’t sound bad though
It’s not the greatest when you’re a vegetarian like me. Ha. Cheers!
I'm American, but I love using 50/50 Clamato and V8 in my Bloody Mary's...I guess they're hybrid Caesars/Mary's lol...the key ingredient in mine is PICKLE JUICE!!!
It's a frickin' Bloody Mary for Christ's sakes - gee
Very similar. Bloody Marys feature tomato juice, while Caesars make use of clamato, a combination of clam and tomato juice.
Its a meal, not a cocktail, ahahah 😂🍸
Missed a hamburguer 😂😂😝😝😎
Bonus! Thanks for watching, cheers!
I want to hang out with him! Just love him!!! We’d be best friends I just know it! I’m crossing the border! You’re right, so much lighter than a blood Mary and you get to eat and drink at the same time!!!
Can’t go wrong with this one! I’m down to be best friends forever. Ha!
Wait this guy still works at a bar? No retirement in that life huh.
No end in sight! Share my videos and help me get there sooner ha. Thanks for watching!
MSG is delicious though.
