You portray the True Classic Bar Tender. I've learned so much from you about cocktails: How to make them, and their history, all the while being thoroughly entertained by your Roll Play. I think you have the best Cocktail Making Channel on RUclips, because you have the experience, personality, and skits to entertain. Brovo!
Greetings, Bruce! My buddy, Tim, and I have been enjoying Aviation cocktails according to your recipe this afternoon, and all I can say (again) is: YOU DA MAN! What a pleasant libation! Thanks for the video!
I looooooooove this channel the history, entertainment and the wonderful recipes. Oh btw my dad had the tequila bottle with the worm at the bottom too.
@@BarTalkCocktails OJ and vodka. That's about all I know. Ok, Rusty nails are cool , but I cant afford those . So I make Black Russians, or white ones. Good channel. How about this amazing fact? From 1903 , when man couldn't even get off the ground, to the moon landing in 1969. Only 66 years!. Amazing!! Ok...…..how about inventing the MOON LANDING cocktail? heheh. :))
What a great video!!! I have had this drink, and woohoo, knocked me out of the sky!!! ;) Ummm, could have been the bartender making it a little strong.
You could try substituting elderflower liqueur for the Maraschino liqueur. That would work nicely. It won't taste exactly like an Aviation cocktail but I think it would play nicely alongside the gin, crème de violette, and lemon juice. Give it a go and let me know. Cheers!
Yep, exactly. Gotta have that colour of the Blue Sky to it. Not too much redness so as to be noticeably purple. (Are you from Minnesota? Or there abouts? Or near Eastern Maritime Canada?)
Aviation gin would be marvelous in a Tom Collins. I find it works well in cocktails calling for lemon juice. It's big and it's bold. The juniper in Aviation gin sits in the background with strong citrus and other flavours up front. Of course my new fave is Gin Mare because of how smooth and silky it is. But, it's really a matter of preference. Remember, the best gin is the gin you like best. Cheers and thanks for watching Greg!
This sounds tasty. If I can't find creme de violet in my town, I wonder if I simply omit that, but replace the Aviation gin with Empress 1908 gin, if it would come close. I do find that the butterfly pea blossom in the gin definitely lends a soapy kinda quality to drinks I make with it. Maybe a touch of syrup to make up for the lost sweetness of the omitted violet liqueur? Of course, the drink would have more of a pinkish hue due to the reaction with lemon, but I don't mind. What do you figure, Bruce? Would it stand up to the name?
By omitting the Crème de violette it's not going to be the drink that Hugo Ensslin envisaged. You will, however, create a wonderful variation. I say go for it!! Cheers!
Ha! I just recently received the same request. We’ve got the next few episodes planned out but it’s on my to-do list for a future episode. Thanks for writing in, cheers!
Hey there Sebastian, just wanted to let you know we shot the Aqua Velva cocktail episode today. Thanks for requesting it. It’ll probably air in the next couple weeks so stay tuned for it. Cheers!
Every time I make one of these, it turns a milky blue color after shaking it and it is impossible for me to photograph accurately. Its enjoyable but I think I need to dial the recipe more to my tastes as it always comes out too lemony.

you have an old narration type voice. sounds like a voice that narrates fairy tale books.
I use sing opera believe it or not. True story. Cheers!
I like how you don't even bother with jigger because you know exactly how any given number of ounces look inside a glass.
This guy!
Oh no... someone left the hats out again
Love me a good hat!

I’m in Canada! Ontario.
Would the aviation gin be ok in a Tom Collins or would you recommend a different gin? This drink sounds nice!

BarTalk&Cocktails Thanks young man! Keep em coming!
What did I just watch? It’s like I got a drunken history lesson from Ren & Stimpy.
I aim to please. Ha
Must cost a fortune for all those liqueurs. I'm making home made versions. Using roses for this one.
I’m also experimenting with some homemade liqueurs. Good luck!

I don’t always follow proper recipes and always make them to my taste when I’m making myself a drink. Nothing wrong with that. Cheers!
Fireball!!!!

Are you a Resident Mister?
Maybe. What’s a resident mister? Ha
Is it just audio? Because I can only see the cover picture.
Sorry my bad. It's working fine. Great video.
Whew I was worried there for a second. Thanks Pramit, enjoy the episode. Cheers!
BarTalk&Cocktails Hahaha so was I...you are hilarious. I absolutely adore your narration...and the editing is spot on.
Thanks so much Pramit, it’s a lot of hard work but me and the crew love it. Thanks for watching!
