I’m “only” on my second pair, Volt and Blueprint, and I absolutely love these shoes, I could use them for every run, they work even at slower pace and they always feel fast. They are also surprisingly comfortable and long lasting
@@TheMassif totally agree dude, they feel amazing at all paces. It’s hard not to pick them up for all runs I agree, but I try to rotate as much as possible with my Vaporfly 3 (I’ve got a few of them too 😂) and I’ve got the Metaspeed which are amazing and the superblast 2 on order to see what all the fuss is about with them. I’ve seen an incredible prototype of a black and fire red AF3 and if it gets released that’s another £300 to Nike from my account 😂
@@mpthree101 definitely the red one looks interesting. I actually like the kipchogi one too. I’ve seen a black pair that looks amazing but think it’s only going to the US?.
Hey Jody, MORE new trainers!!!! You could do a video about all the ones you have, how many, favourites, first shoes, that kind of thing? I’m still going from strength to strength, 2 months dry this time around👍. Just joined a gym and had a program set up to improve my running…… hopefully!! All the best my friend Colin🤜🤛
So proud of you Colin, you are doing amazing things my friend. Funnily enough, I just released a new review of the Vaporfly v the ASICS Paris.. give it a watch and let me know in the comments for that video what you think of you have time. Keep smashing it mate, you are doing incredible stuff 🫡💪
@@AjaySingh-228 I agree buddy, they look amazing. The performance is incredible but the price is high so you need to use them under the right conditions and your best effort for racing and training. Have a great weekend mate 🫡
I have the af3 in the volt colour way and I’m already obsessed! I’m finding it difficult to not order a couple more pairs, even though they are 460.00 Canadian including shipping. A black and red colour way would be straight 🔥🔥🔥
I ended up getting a pair of the electric colourway, although the alphaflys have not won my heart over yet. Still preferring the vaporfly 2s that I have, although it makes me wonder whether I should look at the Vapor 3s. Have my first ever marathon coming up in 2 weeks! Happy running
@@ziyaadcruywagen7132 the Vaporfly 2 had a very aggressive feel which I loved too, so can understand why you say that. The Alphafly 3 for me are just so responsive and comfortable and just give back no matter how many miles you do. I enjoy the Vaporfly 3 but they aren’t as fierce as the Vaporfly 2.. they are a little dulled down compared to the 2. Enjoy the marathon, it’s such a huge achievement and hope you enjoy every minute 🫡
Theres a new colour out on the UK nike website- white and crimson. Just ordered a pair to put away for Manchester marathon. Have yoy ran in them over the marathon distance? Ran my last few marathons in Saucony Endorphin Pro 3s, not ran in nikes for ages
Ah nice, I just saw.. really nice 👌🏼. Not sure if you’ve ordered them yet, but if you go to sportsshoes.com as a new customer you can get 20% off at the moment and I think they have that colour. The most I’ve done so far in my various AF3 is 18 miles, so not a full marathon but I can say that for those long runs the responsiveness and comfort of the zoom x stays true the entire time, so they will be an amazing choice for the marathon 👍
@Runningonthemind That's good to know for sportshoes, will do that next time. Ordered direct from nike as I had a 10% bluelight code. Great to hear about the performance over long distance, will take them for a test drive when they arrive then stow them away unil the marathon 👍
Thanks dude, appreciate you joining us. They are expensive that’s for sure, probably overpriced but all super shoes are these days. Saying that, I’m very grateful to be able to get them. Have a great day man 🫡
Ive wanted these for some time, I LOVE my VF3 which is making me think that I would like to run in these, but after trying them on I do feel like I would heel strike during a long run as like you mentioned, running form changes as you tire out, would you say that the durability is better then the VF3? My favourite colour way for these is the blueprint edition.
I’ve several pairs of VP 3 too and love them also. The difference for the AF3 is that they feel more stable and more cushioned. The zoom pods make a difference and the propulsion on the AF3 is more prominent. The AF3 are more comfortable but the weight difference is noticeable (the VF3 being a fair bit lighter). If you heel strike normally then they will wear but if you only heel strike when fatigued then you’ll be ok I would say. The main thing here is that to get the best of the AF3 you need to run at 85% max + of your fastest pace and usually when you do naturally you’ll be more on your mid to forefoot anyway. The blueprint edition is rather nice isn’t it 👌🏼
@@Runningonthemind thanks for the quick reply Jody. I'm still waiting for you to do a treadmill running video, so I can learn a few more best practices from you 😀 Ive pushed my ability a little too far, too soon and ended up with a bad dose of shin splints in my right leg. Having to resort to the indoor bike at the moment in order to keep the blood circulating and repair my muscle tissue. Zoom x is never that easy to keep clean. I usually only run on the road and generally I rinse them under water after my run and leave them to dry in the shower. I try not to do much to the upper portion ther than use a wet towel or baby wipe on it.
this is such a coincidence. I was at the Nike store trying to decide what colorway would I pick up and after trying the purple and volt colorway, I felt the volt colorway had more zoomx underneath. Did you find any performance difference in these colorways? I am almost sure there was a difference in how the colorways felt. It almost felt like the purple colorway was for women
@@jesvinsjoseph the Nike store is such a dangerous place to visit 😂. Only difference for me is to do with duration worn and miles done in them, no difference otherwise. I think we will see some other colours soon, a black and red pair looks to be in production. 👌🏼
Ah man, that’s not good. I’ve not had that but there isn’t much to the outsole for sure. I found the outsole on the Alphafly 2 was better but certainly the AF3 should be looking almost brand new still after only 33k.

Looks amazing doesn’t it. I recently got the dark blue and green/ aqua colour so I probably won’t get the black. I actually like the black the most to be honest but because I run mostly in the dark early in the morning I prefer more colour for safety reasons.
