Brutalmoose is the best variety channel that I never expected to become a variety channel
Truth
Brutal science
Good thing is Ian himself is entertaining enough that i'll watch a video with him in it even if the topic is something i dont care about at all. (Like this one)
This is exactly how I feel
Swiss Dewd IKR?!
Ian could review shades of beige paint and I'd still watch it.
Craig Think if he did a crossover with LindyBeige
50 shades of beige (reference)
That would actually be pretty interesting
"I don't know if I'm feeling the desert tan, the paint is a bit watery and doesn't spread well..."
Are you kidding? Watching Ian review paints would be amazing
do the konami code and Dr.Maxwell's head will spin around 180 degrees with hyper realistic eyes then he'll show you the hidden 11th experiment where you make mustard gas
MrTeleporter NA no, his eyes will be gone and there’ll be *hyper realistic* blood flowing from the sockets
@@PatheticApathetic if I had a dollar for every time I heard that in a shitty creepypasta, I could pay off all the authors to delete their terrible creations.
This fucking killed me 😂
@@meeknuggets4860 don't bleed out with hyper realistic blood
It's a shame because the idea of actual hyper realism could make for good horror. Seeing something so far beyond your comprehension that it's comparable to seeing a person for the first time after 30 years of only being allowed to remove your blindfold to look at cave shadows, and thus you couldn't comprehend 3d objects. But that's of course not what they mean, it's just a "scary" way of saying "It looked more detailed than 8 bit"
Brutalmoose: "A little bit different than the stuff I normally do."
That's the channel's tagline really.
this kit is also a "add your own $600 phone" kind of kit
Well technically you can just read it, but then why get the kit for $40 when you can just look it up or get a cheaper one with the necessary supplies
Brutalmoose:
The game reviewer turned
movie reviewer turned
Food reviewer turned
Cooking channel turned
Science man
What is the next step in this channels evolution?
As Long as it's not a Loot Crate reviewer thing. I will however joyfully except monthly reviews of the Ian Crate.
Don’t forget TV show reviewer!
i believe the term is scientist
@@emoboy42069 That's why your not a science man.
Don't forget board games!
I was the character animator on this project. Hilarious Review. I was only on the technological side of things, but I definitely would have included more actual stuff in the kit if I were in charge.
I gotta say, I was fairly impressed by the animation. Nice job!
Flower Power!
Professor Maxwell is a very cute little guy
You did a great job honestly, professor maxwell is very charming and fun, mainly because of the animation
Kudos!
Interesting fact: That last page was a hidden experiment in which you could build a homemade grenade launcher. A shame you didn't have those lemons...though you also need to have your own PVC pipe, buzzsaw, and as many M203 grenades as you can find around the house. The kids will love it!
I see what you did there.. ;0
Pineapples for everybody!
I have some PVC pipe but I am making a liquid sand machine with it for the military. Don't ask my why they want me to make it.
Hello, Mr. Johnson.
Ok, kids time to go to Home Depot.
I actually busted out laughing at "is 4D science worth 4D dollars?"
AcidWorks I thought of that pun way back when he mentioned the price the first time. XD
I wanna like you’re comment cause I also laughed, but the likes are 666 and I don’t wanna mess with it
S T E P 1
?
For $40 you think they would include a sun.
Or a star.
XD
?
I can tell if I got this as a kid I would be ABSOLUTELY disappointed.
Very much 🌈
Stuff like this is the reason most kids don't care about science lol

@Keelah Thanks for writing out something that happened in the video.
I like the Brutal TV station. You have Games, Old TV, Foods, and now Science. Ian is the best host.

But I’m starting to think I’d watch Ian do literally anything
“Which is bulls- a little disappointing.”
disappointed by the lack of interdimensional monsters tearing into our universe
4th Dimensional? More like Augmented Reality.
The emperor protects
You could consider professer maxwell a monster, but is he interdimensional?
It's a 4th dimensional Space Whale!
Pokemon Go might have something to do with this.
Free AND gentle.
it always makes me happy to find a roaming tim in the comments
That's what the ampersand on his arm means
What're you doing here, tim?
F.A.- wait no
I happen to use the same laundry soap. But I have bad skin, so yeah.
The experiments didn't work because you didn't apply the scientific method to ANY of them, Ian...what a rookie mistake!
All jokes aside, great video! Editing on point as always.
It didn't work because science kits are too safe now. When I was a kid my science kit let me blow shit up.
Morden Is Alive and uranium
when I was a kid my science kit let me become a sad and bitter adult
the experiment was a success but there's no cure
Back in my day they still put uranium in science kits. Kids these days will never know the pleasure of getting radiation poisoning.
Morden Is Alive remember when they would send uranium in a science kit?
This just makes me want to watch Ian build and review Nintendo Labo. At least those pack come with everything included.
like, yes, but Labo is shit, tho' :/ (well, most of it, anyway)
this comment is sponsored by Nintendo
Just watch Jerma do it
“Ooey... gooey.... SLIME!”
As yes Maxwell is trying his best to keep up with the RUclips algorithm
Videos like this make me realise that it's Ian's personality and editing that really make the channel so great.
easily.
Tell me a great channel that doesn’t have a charismatic personality and skilled editing lmfao! Those are like the two requirements for quality videos
The sudden appearance of the volume slider really threw me off. I picked up my phone and started looking around for what was pressing the button lol
Critical Nobody Same, I thought my case was pressing on the button
I did too but now I feel really stupid because I'm on Android...
I'm on Android, can't relate
Devon G thanks for letting us know
Critical Nobody man it's a good thing I have an Android! XD

Jay Tuber obligatory “Is that a JoJo Reference?”
*bite za dusto
"THAT'S IT! I'M GOING TO PRESS IT!"
Professor Maxwell has already touched step one!
With those sound effects and editing skills brutalmoose could literally make everything look exciting.
Kinda bummed to not hear the "plop" sound bite from the BrutalFoods videos whenever anything got dropped into the water, but this was immensely entertaining.
That Random Hero Guy
Plop.
InfamousArmstrong Thank you.

BYOP: "bring your own plop"
The clump of emergen-c settling on top of the water and then finally sinking the rest of the way down was so satisfying to watch.
22:18 Ian's defeated "mm" after going through all of these disappointing experiments is pure gold
17:50 What a missed plopprotunity.
I am horribly disappointed by this clickbait title. I fully expected Ian to be transporting himself through time and space at least! 0/10, only 3 dimensions if even that.
Joseph Hart tbh I was expecting the same.
Wasnt disappointed though.
4 dimensions if you count time
He technically did move around through spacetime. He traveled 28:59 into the future, and moved around.
We ALL move through time and space. Sorry to burst your bubble but we live in a space-time continuum.
TheBurritoLord time is a force of nature, like gravity. (In fact time and gravity are interwoven, from my understanding)
Time is not and will never be a dimension of space. However, it may operate differently in additional or reduced dimensions of space.
"Will it go well? Maybe?" Should be the motto of this channel.
9:12 - The smattering of applause always makes me smile.
Siri, what is liquid detergent?
Siri: a detergent in liquid form...

Wowie, it's the boy who made Boobborne! Hi, boy!
I was actually expecting some 4D shit
I love you Indeimaus
Where da hypercubez at?
That was super fun, mostly due to your editing and your brutal honesty. I'd love to see you do something else in this vein, the idea of an adult trying a set of activities for kids and being open about how much fun they actually are is surprisingly gripping.
For the slime, it might have to do with the water added... I've used that exact detergent for slime before
Okay, that "slime" experiment is actually making me mad.
My younger sister is into the whole slime crafting hobby, and I've gotten involved quite a few times and learned a lot in order to help her make better slimes.
The glue to water ratio made NO sense. Way too much fucking water.
Then the fact they didn't just include a goddamn borax solution. It would have been so easy. Elmer's sells one nowadays. There's just no excuse not to include it, then the book doesn't give clear instructions on how to make one or what exactly to buy ("liquid detergent" is vague at best and is definitely what led to your downfall).
I don't know how any kid, even with a parent's help, could make a successful slime with that bad combination. It's just a disaster all around. Well, the _whole kit_ was a disaster, but that part made me the angriest.
Is there even a liquid detergent that would chemically work like borax in water?
Either way, not including an Alka-seltzer tablet and a bit of Borax despite the amount necessary being dirt cheap is a total rip-off.
Master Markus I believe there are liquid detergents on the market that essentially are just borax solutions, or at least, have borax in them. Liquid starch also works, I've heard.
But yeah, it was a rip-off not to include a lot of the items. Even the vinegar! Come on! If they'd included that, the entire volcano project would have been in the box and that way at least _one_ of the experiments could have been done with no additional items.
Thanks. I was thinking that a lot of the popular liquid laundry detergents (at least in my area), like Tide or Arm & Hammer have no sodium borate and a multitude of other chemicals that don't work in the same way. Apparently liquid dishwashing detergent can be used to make slime, but all the recipes I saw after looking it up quickly didn't use glue.
So just saying that Borax can be substituted with "liquid detergent" seems like a serious oversight when it didn't even specify what the detergent is normally used for and most laundry detergents, like Borax aren't made with or only with Borax.
Master Markus Yeah, that's why I said the words "liquid detergent" were vague - they're totally useless and unhelpful instructions, if you can even call that an instruction.
Samantha Port this bois an expert
when the volume bar went down I was like no no no oh nvm its his phone not mine
I have a Samsung and for some reason I thought the same thing
I bust out laughing at the "jumpscare"
Brutalmoose "No quit telling me to step, I'm just trying to not trip over my equipme... STEP TWO *intensifies*
I lost it xD
Man, when I was a kid my brother got a science kit. Wasn't an expensive one, but it still came with about 40 tiny vials of various chemicals, some of which were apparently poisonous. Everything you needed was in that kit.
Tarks Gauntlet you put without instead of with
Thanks! Consider it fixed!
Yeah, for a book fair I got a kit that showed me how to make moon sand and other cool shit. It also came with a manual vacuum chamber so you could explode marshmallows and hotdogs by extraxting all the air in the chamber. It was a blast. This kit was utter bullshit.
I think I had that exact same kit!
my dad had one that came with like...actual radioactive materials :|
i heard science kits of the old times were more hardcore, they gave you an actual piece of radium and some mini reactor.
Vust Valeo There was a glass blowing kit once, that's good.
Josh Stuchbery
That's nothing. You ever play with a Babies First Interdimensional Communication Gate?
And cancer
I have one that used to belong to my great grandfather. It has a preserved frog for dissection and a kit to dissect it with. Also some chemicals that I don't know anything about. Everything was stored in real glass bottles and had cork stoppers. The thing is awesome, like a time capsule.
Yea wth real rads, lead paint, explosive stuff etc etc
“Nothing says excitement like waiting several days for results.”
Man, Ian would never survive as a real scientist lol
"The magic of science"
You had one job.
science is just really well defined magic
I was going to reply the exact same thing, glad I'm not the only one catching it :-D
TBH I'm most impressed by the fact that the volcano base and cup was all measured out perfectly so that nothing spilled.
He put the teavana cap on the vegetable oil 11:36
i was hoping that you could observe the 4th dimension using this scientific equipment :(
yeah, I thought it'd be quantum physics for kids, but nooo >.>
When life hands you limes, you make limeade with an overpriced, underequipped science kit.
I can't! The kit didn't include sugar!
When the Professor appeared on the baking soda I completely lost it. That was some creepy pasta level jumpscare, all that was missing was bleeding eyes.
Error "wanna make some napalm, kids?"
First Brutalfoods, now Brutalscience? This is the channel that keeps on giving
Well, he does know how to do different things for his channel.
7:06 You can't withstand the true form of giggas' attack!
the professor dude sounds like Mike Matei's Inspector Gadget. *BROWN BRICKS*
ok what does this channel do again?
stuff
ok I'll tell my friends that
JamerGamer Are you not entertained!?
It makes the sarcasm funnies
Mistakes, mostly.
You can actually see the dent in Ian's nose when he takes off the headset.
He entered the 4th dimension, and came out a little warped by our 3rd dimensional world
Thank you captain obvious!
Yay Princess moon butt
How the hell does a horse have a youtube channel?
We use computers like everyone else...
I hated Professor Maxwell immediately. Great video, Ian. Loved the video
When I was a kid, the science starter kits I got allowed me to pulls he DNA out of a strawberry, or make indestructible gelatin crystals, or make glow in the dark ooblick. And the chemicals to do these things were all in the box it came in.
Kids today have to deal with the modern technology infesting the cool stuff. That headset probably costed $30.00, and they had barely any money left for the rest of the kit.
But it could also be degradation of how cool science kits are. I mean, 50 years ago, you could have legitimately gotten some actual, radioactive uranium in your science kit, and you could have made a mini nuclear power plant. Or mini nuclear bomb, as it was Kids who were putting these together.
Spencer Whiteway adults could also make Them and get a bomb, or cancer.
Mr Boy For the strawberry one you don’t need much more than dishwashing soap and there are plenty of experiments out there with everyday chemicals like that.
Mr Boy For the strawberry one you don’t need much more than dishwashing soap and there are plenty of experiments out there with everyday chemicals like that.
You obviously have no idea how nuclear bombs work if you said that.
Broken Wave
The people responsible for Chernobyl were my reference for the joke at the end.
Ian, on slime: How are you gonna get kids to do this?
Every elementary school teacher ever: plz no
Y'know when most RUclipsrs try and "switch things up" and try new things on their channel it comes across as desperate and usually uninteresting. But I swear I would watch you review suntan lotion just because your sheer force of personality and fantastic editing make everything you do so interesting and fun to watch. Even my sister, who really isn't into youtube at all, loves your food and movie reviews (She never remembers your name though-- she just asks for the videos of the guy with the great hair.) So, even though I started watching you for video game reviews (circa Sociolotron or so), I've greatly enjoyed every bit of new content you've made. Video games, movies, food, whatever! Keep up the great work, Ian. I look forward to your content like no other RUclipsr I follow. :3
" The guy with the great hair " is one of Ian's nicknames.
next video: ian reviews suntan lotions. fuck it id watch it!
"So, even though I started watching you for video game reviews (circa Sociolotron or so)"
I dunno about admitting you got into Ian when Sociolotron review came around. ;P
Yeah, he is possibly the only video game centric channel that actually got better when trying different things.
Fucking Jontron
This was a great video! I love that you are super willing to venture into new territories like science kits, cooking, etc. It's your personality and video editing that makes your videos awesome.
Great vid! I always love chillin with ya on these fun explorations of whatever the heck you happen to find.
"his video was kind of a terrible mistake but I hope you enjoy it anyway."
when you see this in the description, you know it's going to be a fantastic episode.
ğřąşś måșk
I absolutely love how he puts the ad marks right where the breaks are. Bless this logical editing and this entire channel. Food, science, games???
That's indeed what is up
Ian can make basically any video and I'll still watch it all the way through because he's Ian.
It would be fun to do a Brutal Foods episode based off of some of the media you've reviewed? i.e. Pepper Roni's Pizza Pie and (if you think I've been good enough) maybe you can throw in a couple TUNA NOODLES??
Dan L. so binging with brutal
last2live that sounds pretty good I just want some tuna noodle
That awkward moment when you thought it was a kit for performing experiments that have proven the 4th dimension.
Why would anyone think that when it's called 4D science kit? That's like expecting a convertable to have an open roof smh 🤦♀️
I AM LIVING FOR YOUR INTRO.... I got crazy Mr. Wizard vibes from it.
lucahjin Wheres that new Danganronpa! I need my daily fix of despair
lucahjin Oh hey Lucah! Didn't expect to find you here! For the record I haven't watched you aside from a small bit from one of your Pajama Sam vids a while back, but I was always happy seeing you show up on TheRunawayGuys or Chuggaaconroy. You seem like a really fun person. :)
R-Reese!? What are _you_ doing here!?

The song is called "you've done enough" by Ritchie Evertt. Hope you find this useful.
Why is everything Ian does so entertaining?
yeah
Editing
his editing is impeccable.
The Lonely Dewott cause he is
Good personality and editing will do that.
Your editing is one of my favorite parts of your videos, been a fan for a few years! Love what you do!
7:04 YOU CANNOT GRASP THE TRUE FORM OF IAN'S ATTACK
Your channel has become one of those tacky old TV shows that just does whatever the heck they feel like doing every week. Editing included. It's *magical*
My friends and I even have stupid inside jokes based on your style now too. It's like a blast back to the 80's-90's. Thanks Ian~
what a sweet message
Thats kinda rude
nauya u must be a loser
Augmented reality? Maybe you can use this to rescue Televiod Ian!
Before even watching this, thank you Ian! Your stuff is so goofy and charming, the editting is especially brilliant. It's so fun and unique, this video and your food videos are the most original content on RUclips and I love it! Your videos always brighten up my life, I remember some rough days last year when your food videos helped me laugh and relax for once. Don't lose confidence in yourself bud.
Been watching your stuff since sometime in 2014 and I gotta say this new format of yours you've been doing for roughly a year is definitely what you excel in.
Keep it up, dude.
Please stop thinking your videos are disasters, they're wildly entertaining! :)
They can be both.
To be fair his attempts are pretty disastrous but that makes for good videos.

Also, that conclusion ?? Excellent.
_could've used the lime_
Honestly, how can you do a video on literally anything and make it entertaining? You are like the most underappreciated RUclipsr on the platform.
A note on the radical crystals -
The idea is that as the string soaks up the water, calcium deposits accumulate within the fibers, harden and form crystals. It’s meant to simulate organic crystallization of alkaloids and salts, but they gave you calcium carbonate instead of Epsom salts, which would have worked much better.
For future reference, try adding two different food dyes to either reservoir so you can track the progress day by day.
"Which is bullsh---- A little unfortunate." Yup, that's definitely how you intended that sentence to end. For sure.
The quality of this episode is about a hundred times that of the book _and_ it cost $40 less.
(also, Static is the best Animal Crossing villager thank you for introducing me to them)
Jesus disproves science in 29 minutes
I can't remember if I commented before but I just want to make sure I say that literally every video of yours is an absolute treat. I love the special effects, I love the dry humor, and I love how you can take seemingly anything and make it hilarious.
Science costs 40$ and doesn't even come with white flowers or a soda? smh
It doesn't even include the string! How expensive is a piece of string! Oh wait, there it is.
Ukulele the flowers I can halfway understand, but 1. Amazon already sells soda, shipped. 2. There’s already liquids in the kit, the food coloring, the glue, that sorta stuff.. a vending machine by my house sells cans of soda for 35 cents, and bottles aren’t much more.
Apparently it doesn’t come with 4D ether. For 40 bucks I expect to see something I can’t comprehend.
and when they say "forage for flowers" they don't think that children will just go dig up their neighbor's garden to get em?
15:52 With these hightech goggles, you can finally see real life in the third dimension.
Wow. The science of magic.
Love how much you've been branching out lately. I swear you manage to make anything entertaining.
I love this video! Love the food videos and the game reviews. I think your style of comedy with the editing and effects is what makes your videos so great! I have never regretted hitting that subscribe button! Keep it up Ian!!!

Oh, man. Nice job on the Static joke. One of my favorite villagers in AC.
Ian’s editing is SO GOOD. Everything he does is so entertaining.
The amount of work you put into editing and stylizing your videos does not go unnoticed or unappreciated
Well that was disappointing, they seriously charged $40 for that? That's a bit of a rip-off.
You know what wasn't disappointing though? This video. It was certainly entertaining. ^_^
If it makes you feel better, he definitely made the $40 back from the video.
I disrespect you
Chrispy Bacon. Me or the other guy that replied to my comment?
DashieSparkle, who else likes shit for two year olds
Why do you even care?
The name of the science kit alone misused a scientific term “4-dimensional”... very promising.
Mr Shambleface nerd
i was really hopping it was supposed to help you visualize 4d space, so ya. super disappointing.
I was expecting tesseracts!
Nah it's correct actually. Turns out the fourth dimension is regret.
Another Wafflefam member I see
You have good taste
why skimp out with only 4 dimensions. I only take my science kits with 10 dimensions or more.
More than 9001! 🌈

Any student in 2020
Well. I feel this old LGR quote would describe this “4D!!!” Science kit pretty well:
“It’s a jack of all trades, and master of none.
In-fact, it’s not even a six-of-diamonds of all trades and a novice of none, it’s just not really much of anything.”
LGR and Moose should do a collab.
Thanks man, now I don't need to go to college because of how much I learned
I really enjoyed the heck out of this. I always love your edits, with the sound effects and zooms. Reminds me of like Beakmen's World from back in the day. Realized I had never commented before. Love your work!
The first time RUclips actually gave me a good recommended on my feed this guys channel is amazing !
