  • I've spent a lot of time these past two years around point breeze, but I've never had a chance to explore the rest of oak orchard. That changes in this video, as I finally bring my trusty Vibe Yellowfin 100 over to the boat launch at point breeze, and spend the day paddling up the creek. One thing I can say if anybody wants to try this themselves. Definitely go on a weekday if your in a kayak, the boat traffics crazy!

Just discovered this channel while trying to find some info on a local spot, after going through it some I realized I’ve seen you at one of the local dams, nice to see someone posting in the area.

Thank you, I'm trying to cover as much as I can in western and central NY, I've been to quite a few places. I've been making an effort to visit new places along with still fishing local spots this year. I already got so many nice spots that I frequent at this point its hard to not just go to one of them, but there is a lot more out there, so I keep trying to explore.

@@FISHINGwithGREGIf you want I know some lesser known spots that have some cool fishing if you want to check them out, just not a fan of sharing them publicly.

Its a little early to see the salmon I think, usually around mid september is when they start to gear up, then right at the end of september there here en masse. Thats when I caught my salmon last year at Charlotte pier. Now trout on the other hand, those are starting to make there way in small numbers into the creeks I think. I talked to somebody up near Burt Dam which is near Olcott, they were wading in the water and had seen a few trout already swimming about.
