  • @RockStarOscarStern634
    @RockStarOscarStern634 Год назад +3

    The Black Nylon Tape Wound Strings did it, it sounds more like an amplified Double Bass, you can also use Omni Bass Strings. Historically the Bass Guitar was originally designed to replace the Double Bass because it's easier to Carry, easier to play in tune, plus the pickups and amp give it more punch. The extra punch from the Electric Bass is also because the Double Bass is Acoustically compromised (like the Viola) as it's scaled down from the optimal size that would be appropriate for those low notes.

    Strangely enough my MA production research project was on how close you could make the bass sound like a double bass. After many sleepless nights & days in time the studio & library researching, I would summarise the result of my findings to ‘sort of but not really’. This sounded pretty close though. Depends also if you want to do it acoustically using similar components such as similar type of strings & hollow body or through using effects.
