For a young bespoke shoe maker, he is way ahead of his time, very talented individual, take his craftsmanship very seriously, can’t wait to own a pair of Daniel Wegan shoes, Love this interview!!!!!
I'm **really** grateful for the massive closeups of the winning 2019 shoe! I've been dying to see it in person but unfortunately didn't make it's way to LA.
Thank you Kirby for sharing this with us. Daniel is a master craftsman whose talent will continue to grow. Kirby, I give you great credit that you were able to maintain your composure during the interview....that brown shoe closest to Daniel is so exceptionally exquisite I would have had my hands all over it during the interview. LOL.....what a breathtaking piece of art. (Mike in Ohio)
Fascinating to see the tools that Daniel uses in measurement. I haven't seen some of those from other makers, for example the instep measurement tool and what looked like a foot pressure measurement tool. Wishing him much success in his new endeavor!
This guy learned his trade from scratch with Gaziano & Girling. They gave Daniel the opportunity to learn the key skills and develop further. So I think it’s somewhat churlish to avoid mentioning them and giving them some credit for where he is now.
While I'm speculating, I don't think any offense was intended. People familiar with Daniel know where he came from, and his 10 plus year career with them is also a credit to the organization.
$5000 is a lot of money. But if 80 hours, that is $62/hour. I think an AR10 maxed out is more my investment, but these shoes are gorgeous. Great job Daniel and thank you Kirby.
Interesting that now Daniel does the side profile tracing of the foot. I wonder if he started doing that after he saw Lee Miller measure Kirby that way.
@@angelinoz5159 contrary to what you think, I'm not a hater. Unlike most viewers I'm also a hanger project customer. Just bought some mirror gloss from the guy. Kirby is really knowledgeable, but lacks grace sometimes. If he works on this, it will help him in the long run.
@@TheVishaq Why don't you launch your own brand and show us all your version of grace? Kirby is trying to help in any way he can a new talent to obtain exposure in the market. If you had not watched his videos would you today even know who Daniel Wegan is?

Kirby went straight for the black cap toe. didn't see that one coming.
😄

I love it when the apprentice takes on the master, goodluck Daniel.
Nicely presented Kirby. I appreciate Daniel’s considered and even handed nature. I think it’s reflected in the shoes he makes.
really enjoyed how the interview got to show the mind of Daniel... World Champion but quite grounded; amazing vid!
Love this channel. Smart shoes, smart suits, smart socks. I'm not much of a dresser upper but I love seeing men who dress with sophistication.
That setup he has to see the pressure points in his stance was pretty awesome
Daniel is my favorite! Love he’s creations
Beautifully made shoes. The sole’s waist is similar to those of quality cowboy boots.
Fascinating interview, thank you for posting.

I feel that he did give some credit to G&G a couple of times throughout the interview.

He may no be allowed to mention G&G for legal reasons
Chapeau!!!!
Tremendous work and style!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to G&G
Such beauty and presence.
The shoes are wonderful! Especially the brown one! Want to see you wear it in person. Looking forward seeing you make a video about wearing them!
the web site "kirbyallison.com" is not working
3:30 jesus christ let the man finish his sentence
can't wait for them shoes
Does Daniel have a shop somewhere? In that case, where is it, please.
I wish you would have talked about the horseshoe heel
Interesting that now Daniel does the side profile tracing of the foot. I wonder if he started doing that after he saw Lee Miller measure Kirby that way.
Interesting choice of music at the end
Such beautiful shoes. Would have loved to have been there getting measured for one of his shoes.
i like the brown.
very nice ! Thanks for the video.
The contemporary is interesting !
Really beautiful shoes!!!
Excellent video 👍
What shoes does he wear himself.
Stunning but how would a size 10 EEEE look in these bespoke shoes? Looks like they would only compliment a narrower foot.
Mr. Wigan is very wise.
Is that pair of trousers one of the ones that Hemrajani made for you?
What is it like wearing a shoe with such a narrow waist? I don't see how the foot could fit.
you can see your foot / toe silhouette has taken on the shape of your shoes.
Where to find Daniel shop? How to contact him?
If you build it he will come.
???
How’s your CPM?
I feel like gaziano and girling just took a step back in quality
Wondering how many pairs of his own Daniel owns...
I really don't like the shoes at all. Good craftsmanship, though, I'm sure.
They look very snooty and uptight, not humble like a pair of American or English shoes.
@@TopStrikerMaverick yes, that is a good point. well, that is why I only wear Alden, C&J, AE, Brooks Brothers, and maybe rancourt or something.
HeavyProfessor I like Allen Edmonds, especially a cordovan strand in dark brown. Looks so elegant and sophisticated
I agree. Not my type

How tf does your comment get a like from ol’ Kirbs?
@@TopStrikerMaverick If you know, you know
Factory shoes never fit properly. That's the real value of bespoke. 21 stitches per inch isn't necessary :)
I’m obviously the only one wondering if they’ll still fit with odor eaters in them.
First
Diego Delgado Grader, yes , you are
that's why you're single
bespoke shoe maker wearing bespoke denim jeans.
I do not like when they put long nails true the sole.
Kirby trying to take credit for Daniel stepping out. Come on mate, not cool
Stop hating so much. This is not a declaration for a run as presidential candidate, "mate."
