I love how everyone is working together to get it done. If this was in the UK, it would be one guy working on his own and a bunch of other people telling him he was wasting his time on such an old machine. Then they'd go down the pub, get pissed up, and complain about used excavator prices going up because of exports to developing countries.
Here in the states these snowflakes would’ve spent 90% of the time smoking pot, telling the machine it was fine and didn’t need to change, then start calling each other racist’s on TikTok before finally all agreeing everything is someone else’s fault. After that they’d all start trying to council the excavator to go green and run on batteries because it’s killing the planet and after getting no response from the machine they’d start emailing Greta thornburg to lobby the EU to call for a boycott of excavators worldwide while they started to try and “cancel” hitachi. After attempting to convince the excavator to change from a yellow to a more inclusive rainbow paint scheme they’d all finally give up and just call it a homophobic, racist, bigoted, xenophobic cruel hunk of fascist metal and return to their parents basement to smoke more pot. Meanwhile these guys are tearing down and rebuilding an entire machine in sandals using a propane torch, vice grips and tie wire.
@@Harikarikillboy-fs5vl to be honest, the people you describe wouldn't understand the value of a machine like that. They've never built infrastructure, they take it for granted like it happens by magic.
Now that's a rebuild.. i don't think you missed one single part on that thing ..not many people would go that far on an older machine like that ..It gets expensive .. well done .. really liked the video..
In India 🇮🇳 one special people called Jugadu (specifically Sikhs) do this kind of work .very laborious and experts in their field of work .In this case, all the work might have been divided into smaller sections and every expert of parts Repairer would do the job professionally and assemble at a throw away price as they will bring the parts from old used machines laying in the junkyards ,the other parts will be brought from Wholesale market at competitive price . Well done 👍 these are experts in their field and working as a team which is far more accurate and efficient as well Compliments 🙏👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌
@@simonpalmer8033 It's pretty much true except during the refining process new hydrocarbons are created through hydrocracking and other processes that weren't present in the original crude. Not to mention additives that are totally synthetic and were never in the ground originally. Also the oil will be contaminated with heavy metals which are usually locked away inside ore bodies and are not present in most ground water. I'm not trying to say what they did in this video is a big deal, it's not in the scale of industrial polution where millions of gallons used to be run into water bodies (pre 1950s, etc.).
Think what they could do in a workshop with smooth dry floor and some proper tools. The work is hard enough without having to work in the mud. We'll done lads.
If you were to rebuild it in US, you can expect around 60,000 for labor, not counting parts or supplies (paint, grease, oils) Funny thing though, if you watch it twice, even though it appears they swarmed the machine, there were very rarely more than 2 people working on it at once.
Truly a herculean effort and interesting viewing. I can appreciate the work and cost and conditions this overhaul required as i repaired allsorts of Plant for many years. Did you attend to the centre joint and swing Motor and Slew ring?, if you did, then even more congratulations are in order!.
Hello, really interesting video, but you can throw your music in the bin, it's kind of annoying because you can only turn off the sound, so that would have to change until then, bye
Gotta admire anyone who can rebuild a motor I say 🎉😎🎯

yeah, it is expensive but, still cheaper than a new one...
These videos always amaze me. Building an engine outside in the dirt and it will probably run another 15 or 20 years.
Great doing the engine . Pumps are the most expensive thing.
the UH series from the early 80’s with ‘the sticks’….i learn’t on one of these and the Mitsubishi’s…good machines back in the day…good memories

The teeth on the backside of the bucket on the other loader are interesting; what do the do?
It’s been used to move logs and bushes.
