But the $33,000 dollar question is will this fit on my Canon T2i? Lol that was the first thing that popped in my head.

The Canon Cine-Servo CN7x17KAS S Lens does come in an EF mount, and it can be used on cameras with sensors up to Super 35mm, which is essentially APS-C size. So, if you felt so inclined, you could mount and use this lens on a Digital Rebel such as the T2i. *Christina* askbh@bandh.com

"[The lense] is expected to be available in August 2014 for a suggested list price of $33,000."
For ¼ of the price, I would be on board, but..

It's not made for you, it's made for production companies. The company I freelance with has two 40K shoulder cameras each with powered lenses at a similar price point, if not more. $33K is not outside the norm.

I'm totally aware of this. I would love to try it out with a Red Epic as DSMC / run'n'gun setup as 22-170 setup (red crop).

I would buy this lens if it came in a dslr style without the servo motors. Simply it should have a af and is motor with full time mf override. Since its technically an efs lens. The cost should be around under $1k. Obviously im not referring to this lens which warrants its cost im thinking of an efs lens equivalent.

Does this lens support autofocus? Like the EOS C100 which has the dual pixel focus upgrade?
