- This is the review of the Pomoly Stovehut 70 2.0 Hot Tent. This is a nice small footprint tent that can be hauled around quite readily, on a quad, snowmobile, motorcycle, and even backpacking.
Previously there were leakage issues with the tent but it appears Pomoly has rectified those issues by taping and glueing the seams.
I hope you enjoy this video. Please like and subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching.

Good to see Pomoly chilling out and going back to the drawing board on this tent compared to version 1 leaking as bad as it did.
Hello. How many kg is your tent? tent + 4 poles + Fireproof Ground Sheet. how many kilograms in total?
I will weigh the setup I have and let you know what the true weight is
@@BlueSea_72 Thank you. waiting for news
Sorry for the delay I just got home. So with the tent, ground sheet and 4 poles it amounts to 10.4 pounds in total. Hope this helps
@@BlueSea_72 very very thanks
Thanks
Wondering what camp stove to use, or if even necessary with such a small tent, I can heat up my 2 man tent with my gas stove with no problem.
I guess it comes down to how you want to use it. With my Pomoly T-Brick Altay Winter Version Stove I do a lot of cooking and it provides a beautiful level of comfort in regards to warmth granted. They do not burn all night long so you either have to have a good sleeping bag for when it goes out or feed the stove all night with wood. If you cook etc in an another way you could easily get by with your gas stove. It all comes down to the ambient temperature outside the tent. Always carry a CO detector. I have this perfect size which goes right in my stove bag. To end, your climate can dictate the tent and stove you use. This is a 4 season tent. I guess it comes down to roughing it, semi glamping to full on glamping Hope that helps
@@BlueSea_72 although there are plenty of stoves out there but, I'll probably go with a larger tent for my first hot tent , I like camping in the winter, but have not spent more than a day or 2 in one spot (unless the fishing is good!), I'd like to stay a few days or so in the snow, and enjoy having at nice warm tent to come back to after a long hike.
@kct9967 yeah I hear you. I have 5 different hot tents with my 12x14 wall tent in that total. I have the huge Pomoly Hex Plus and One Tigris ROCDOMUS Hammock Awning & Hot Tent. The Pomoly X4 is my next one as I can use it for ice fishing, not that you can’t use the others but they are not freestanding minus the wall tent.
@@BlueSea_72 I've been checking out the OneTigris "rock fortress" or something similar.
hello.Hello, I want to buy this product, but I do not understand the difference between 70 3.0 and this one, which one should I buy?
I would get the new one. I think they took some advice from other people did reviews like myself. I think it has a snow skirt now which is definitely something you want if you’re winter camping
@@BlueSea_72 So you suggest me to buy version 7.0, thank you.
It’s really hard to hear you when you have your back to the camera. Awesome tent.
Yeah I had my lapel
Mic but I didn’t realize the stupid battery died. Sorry about that.
Can't hardly hear your mic, I've just ordered this I wish I had purchased the groundsheet as it looks very good quality
Yeah my mic died. Sorry about that. Yes the ground sheet is very well worth it. I like the extra buffer layer under the tent as well as the extended fire mat.
@@BlueSea_72 got my groundsheet definitely a must, the tent floor is the wrong material really & should be thicker, bad design imo. Lovely tent had nights camp in it last week. I would love their dome but I thinks it's way overpriced & way out of my budget
Thank you for the review! Consider a DJI wireless mic (we just got two and they work great), or a Rode wireless mic. You'll sound much better.
I was wearing a Rode mic. I didn’t realize I hadn’t charged it fully and it unfortunately died one me
Nice looking vestibule. Nice hot tent. Well done review. New follower here. Crow✌️
Thanks man I appreciate that. I am out filming a new one right now.
How would this be for sleeping 2 people? A bit tight or ok ? Thanks
You could squeeze 2 in as long as you don’t have cots. You could use the awning pull out like a vestibule to store gear. If not using the stove you could use the front the same.
@@BlueSea_72 thanks 👍
This was difficult to watch and hear. I'll keep my Tegimen.
Yes my mic died. Read the previous comments. Glad you like your tent. Not one tent is perfect.
@@BlueSea_72 agreed. Mine has been set up for 3 months with stove and hammock in heavy winds and rain. So roomy I absolutely love it .
I wish I could do that here in the East Coast of Nova Scotia. The snow so wet it would be ipped in half
@@BlueSea_72 yeah I'm in Florida so slightly different climes
Is the ground sheet built in now as a tub style? Is the Stovehut TC a newer model or just this one? I want the TC but not if its the older version. This one looks great too but I am hard on things so the heavier duty TC would be better for me long term. I might have to settle and just get this one. Thanks for doing this review.
Yes it has the bath tub bottom in the main portion of the tent minus the stove area. I have the additional ground sheet like a footprint. My tent is the Stovehut 70 2.0 version. The TC is made of a different material over mine but basically same design. The material on mine is very robust. Have had no issues.
Awesome
What did you use for poles? Does it give a specific length to use? I'm looking at hot tents and this is on the top of the list right now.
Well I purchased the poles from Pomoly but when I want to run light I have some other options. Those options being trekking poles, a paracord ridge line and even possibly a stick if need be. The poles from Pomoly are shock corded with no adjustability. I would say they are 4-5 feet in length.
I like your tent where can I get that
I sent you a PM :)
