Great job man looks great people always ask me why things like this cost so much, im going to refer them to this video ........ how does that "steel it" stuff work? Does it prevent rust for extended periods of time I've been looking a coating for exterior handrails
Steel-it has its place. It has some built in anti corrosion features that make it ideal in certain applications. For small projects I think it will hold up great but I still think powercoating is optimal.
@@RathaSochenda ill give it a try ......I agree with you about powder coat but thhe problem im having is if there is any welding in the field it ruins the paint job and is almost impossible to match
That’s possible… my by main goal is to really inspire do it yourselfers to build or learn how to make there own or understand the process of what it takes to build one.
@@RathaSochenda you're a wonderful person. Im also a big diy'er but I dont think I have the skills you have. I think you would be a good business partner if you plan on getting into custom offroading parts. Im planning on getting an LLC
I was just in Mozambique and blew out my ankle jumping off my roof rack into soft sand. My ankle is good but realised I need a ladder desperately. Good timing dude! 👏
@@RathaSochenda All good my side thanks. Your videos are great bud, your work is awesome. I have a Prado 120/ Gx470 so I have some challenges. Plate holder and tyre are in the way but it will be fun. Better than jumping off the roof rack.
This is a great series! I am a newly graduated mechancial engineer about to drop $1700 on a gobi roof rack and rear ladder, but seeing you do all this has inspired me to try and build it myself. I have never done any welding but I know solidworks and have high spirits :) wish me luck!
I don’t see that as cheating the way you go your measurements It you got the technology and skills to use it that’s awesome. Great build it looks amazing I always love your content
Thank you brother for sharing your skills. I find them entertaining. I love your shop and the step by step play-by. I have a long way to go before I get to your level. Nevertheless you are an inspiration to me bro. I have the same sentiment of building it yourself instead of purchasing it. A more satisfying feeling knowing you created something. The other aspect of it is you can start your entrepreneurship advantage.
@@RathaSochenda nice! "The Metallist" makes a cool stand if you need any ideas. Looking forward to anything metal fabrication related. "Rainfall Projects" has a lot of really awesome builds

Man you're making this super easy for fab shops to replicate and sell to production. I think you need to create your own fab shop. Brilliant work!

Thanks Bradley.
Outstanding skill sets you have. I too love to build my own gear
Appreciate it.
Excellent video! Really like the editing and multiple camera angles per sequence of build. The voice over is also nice. Cool build!
Appreciate it. I’m glad you like the the video production it almost takes me longer to that part then the actual build of the ladder 😂
Really enjoy watching your videos bong! Im so inspired!
Glad you like them🤙🏾👍
Excelente trabajo, cómo decimos en México: quedó Chingón!!!!
Great addition to the 4Runner! Nice welder also!
Thanks. Yes now that I have the ladder it makes things easier.
You should make a video of your Garage and tools setup and how you make the best use of space.
Thanks I may do one soon as that’s been suggested many times

Awesome video my man! Keep the heat coming. 4runner looks absolutely incredible
Appreciate it!
Really like the attention to details! Great build.
Thank you. Glad you notice them
If you have the means, making it is way better than buying it. It's your own design, you know all about it, and it's American made!
Very Impressive
Thanks

@@RathaSochenda what future builds do you have in mind?
Custom mag drill stand, rear tire carrier for my 4runner, maybe a gokart. But I’m open to suggestions. Was there something in mind you wanted to see?

love it.... have you looked into making small fold out step to go under the car to save that small jump down?
Never thought of that it’s possible
This is so cool! what do you need to do to start home welding?
Thanks. For starters a welder and angle grinder
privet(hi) from Russia, very nice job.

Yeah I’m almost done with it I’ll post it soon and will leave a link in the description. Hopefully tonight I’ll have it ready
Process and the challenge! Yeah cmon

Have you by any chance uploaded the STL files for the PVC elbows to Thingiverse? If not would you be willing to offer them for free or sale?
I haven’t had a chance but I’ll leave link somewhere in the description so you can access them
