I wish I could find the episode of midwestern hayride with Natchee the Indian fiddler. Natchee would enter mountain fiddle competitions. I had a great, great uncle uncle named Asa Williamson in West Virginia who went up against him in a fiddle competition and lost. From what I understand Asa was very good. That's why I would love to hear Natchee because I have heard so many good things about his playing
@@nicmart I was just in Cincinnati at Union Terminal in the Library of Archives. This full episode is in their collection. That's my great grandfather you can hear playing accordion in the house band.
Hi Alexander - based on Bonnie Lou's hairstyle, as well as the Bendix Duomatic washer/dryer combo commercial at the end of the video, my best guess would be either 1953 or 1954.
Good ☝

Here's some interesting posts about Mr. Storer, whose stage name was Natchee.

Do you have the full episode, or just this segment?
Just this. Provided to me by Bonnie Lou's husband.

@@tylerfairburn6020 Good news. Do they do anything with their archives?
@@nicmart they have them in a large collection in the library. They do have a series of forms to fill out if you wish to purchase a copy.
@@tylerfairburn6020 Thanks for informing folks about the Cincinnati History Library and Archives.
What year is it?

Sorry, don't know. Mid-to-late 1950s, presumably.

August 26th of 1955 is when this aired.
Bonnie Lou is so young here. She turned out to be so loved by everyone. She is still missed in 2024.
