Duude I'm almost never commenting something, but slap a bassdrum on this baby and you have the nastiest fucking new ebm/techno track out there! good lourd 😭👽
Hello guys! Couple days ago bought one of this beast, still waiting for case. Want to ask. Can i triggering MI through Beatstep pro cv gate outs wich produces 12v without attenuator?
yes!!! buddy, been stalking you for a quick min now, just want to say keep up the righteous moves, and wish i could make it out tonight, but im in tue in Frog town! keep melting faces!!!
Oh my this is something special indeed. If I wanted to build a minimalist eurorack using just this module and a power supply module would I be able to sequence and modulate the Manis Iteritas with the Artuia Keystep via CV? Will that minimalist setup be enough to get me going?
That should work nicely for modulation. You might also consider a trigger of some sort though, so you can modulate the envelope -- without a trigger you can only use free-running mode, which is cool, but why limit what you can do with it? (Baseck is triggering the module in this demo.)
Ahh, if that's the case then you are right on. We don't have one in the house, so I didn't realize the v/oct out. As long as the gate out is >1.7v (I can't imagine it's not), it should generally work as the trigger here. Thanks for pointing that out!
Colin Wood thank you for pointing out that the CV limitations on the keystep, I'll have to check the output with a voly meter and see what it's putting out. I was also thinking that the keystep could be used to convert incoming midi from a drum machine to cv and trigger the Manis. I would like this sort of setup to use with my Novation Circuit.
Noise Engineering Thanks for the reply. I'm definitely interested in building something expandable, I'm just trying to figure out if I could use what I already have to drive the Manis. Another question I have is would the Bastl Kastle be able to drive the Manis via CV? I believe the Kastle can send out CV via it's io port. I have both a Kastle and a Keystep already, it'd be nice to just pick up a Manis and power module to get started. Free running mode would be interesting too, especially if it has some randomization mode. I'd use it to fill in sounds on an existing rhythm track.
According to the Keystep manual Pitch has two options, each with its own keyboard reference settings: o 1 Volt/octave (0-10V) 0 volt MIDI note range: C-2 to G8 o Hertz per volt (max ~12V) 1 volt MIDI note range: C-2 to G8 (1V reference default: C0) The Gate output has three options: o S-trigger o V-trigger: 5 volts o V-trigger: 12 volts Will these options work with the Manis?
Selling all my DSI!! Getting THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!!
This is sooo good!Love the sound.... Thanx and keep on going!
Just can't believe its all one module being sequenced
Where did you get 90 degree plugs from on the beatstep?
Why am I so distracted by the jomox modules saying, "Poo Poo?"
It's not just you, man.
What's going on in there? "Man can't hear his own steel band". Lovely !
Heavy! Respect.
Insane
