Dazza, great to have you back reacting to Angelina. I was at both the early and late show in Las Vegas on February 29. Angelina performed 19 songs at each show. She sang "Moon River" at the early show, and replaced it with "My Funny Valentine" at the late show. The highlight was a new original, "Princess of Ruins" which is about the story which led to her always performing barefoot. Here is a refresher on that story.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes.
Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina never learned the orphan's name but called her Princess. The orphan girl replied, "princesses live in castles, we live in ruins". Angelina titled her song about this story, "Princess of Ruins".
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Both covers of this are glorious but I prefer the stripped down version Piano Diaries. That version lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking her to sing this cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.” They are also working on other songs for AJ. This will be huge for her.

Hi Dazza, Good to see you reacting to Angelina again. This is in London. Angelina has evolved and progressed so much over the past few years and it's really a pleasure watching this transformation to adulthood. Yet she is still only 18. There is a piano and cello version of this song that was done with Toby Gad, the composer, that she is working with. Toby originally wrote this for Beyoncé but is doing a project now with a new album called Piano Diaries which features eight songs that he made famous years ago but they are being covered by new artists. Angelina was chosen for this song. The piano and cello version is considered by most to be the finer version of the two. They have another new song coming in a few months that they pre-released at a small performance in LA a month or so ago, it is called Bad Valentine and in my opinion is one of the finest performances by Angelina I've ever seen. She really gets to show her true colors!
Angelina also had her very first performance in Las Vegas the end of April. She did two shows, approximately 20 songs per show. All 20 were recorded individually for RUclips by fans. The videos to watch are by James Thiel who not only optimized the audio and the video but created beautiful angles and added artistic value. Any of the songs are worthwhile although my favorites are, when we were young, a moment in time, hero, unchained Melody, diamonds are forever. And saving it for last, my very favorite is the new original that she premiered at the concert called Princess of Ruins. It is the story of why she sings barefoot, finally coming out in an original song! It is an emotional piece but uplifting and I don't think there was a dry eye in the place. It is just one thing that has made her special to many people including myself over the years. I hope to see some more reactions from you so you may catch up on what has been happening. The production style of this is very much like the 'Academy Award' winning video by Bruce Springsteen
when he sang 'Streets Of Philadelphia' as he walked the city streets. Angelina's vocals are far superior
to what Bruce accomplished and his performance was considered genius. At the least, I would have to
say this is as well.

First off this tune was written primarily by TWO MEN...
The story of the song is focusing on the fact that some men never grow up, that they mentally & emotionally
are choosing to continually put themselves 1st, hearing, seeing and feeling only what matters to them...
Point: everyone has the choice to grow (as a person) to adulthood, but- - arrogance, selfishness, & inability to love anyone more than "self" keeps one..."just a boy!"
