I really wish you could lock the pitch to scale (quantize) when using the modulation page.

Pleaseee 🙏 They changed the name of the “Slice” Machine to “Grid” so I have hope that it will be added in a future update.
@@Nolan14235 Renaming Slice to Grid says to me it will not be implemented. Grid implies a fixed grid based slice system. While Slice machine would imply a more flexible slice where ever you want based system. We'll see.

Even stealing tracks would be fine. It’s on the digtone so hopefully they will. Slicing and polyphony will make this sampler probably the best of all time

What is superb is that as a owner of syntakt (wanting to add the takt) i learned things here and there because it's also present in thge syntakt (one i was so happy to know i could do , and i tried was the Scale when pushing the knob on trig page !!! another was the keyboard mod while in step record mod !!)

It’s just a minor change but I would love it if when you have selected a scale in the keyboard menu, the default mode for note selection on triggers is quantised to the scale. Then chromatic is accessed by pressing down the encoder whilst turning.
If you have already chosen a scale for the track this makes the most sense to me (and makes fast melody generation even more streamlined)

Best reason to buy an Elektron device, as showcased in every device, is hitting a bunch of rewarding buttons a bunch of times and turning smooth knobs. = Sound.
Know what would be cool? Not the lfo modulating the velocity, but kind of a matrix to get the lfo to modulate several targets like the one in velocity mod.
awesome video guys. since we can now latch an encoder to the selected scale, i think a logical addition would be to be to allow end user to point an LFO at the latched encoder so that it modulates to notes only within the selected scale. depth would control range of octaves. combined with re-trig this would solve some of my arp woes. pretty please?

the Digitakt 2 has both new and old architecture inside the case. new features will be created totally from the new architecture.

Sup Elektron fam. Burning question.. If I have a 16 step sample and I punch in a (trig-less trig) reverse at step 9 to finish off the bar.. but I mute it at step 14 before a new bar, why does it continue to play out in reverse? How do I stop this? I tried to punch in 0 velocity at step 16 but it seems if I mute the track it doesn't continue to read the sequencer. Please help if anyone understands my question lol. thanks. loving my new Digitakt II btw.
I'm not sure, but I think you have to P-lock the first trig on "Forward" to prevent that :)
I own a MPC one, would you recommend a digi for experimental music and sound design? It's easier ti male experimental music with digi?
Depends on what you are looking to do. I would get the OG Digitakt if you are just supporting what you’re making on the Mpc one. The DG II biggest benefit is that its stereo and has 16 tracks and now you can purchase a digitakt 1 for like $400 so if you are trying to do experimental one shots I’d get the first one. Honestly it’s not that revolutionary and any daw still blows it out of the water.
Hi , Did Digitakt 2 lost the Retrig Volumen parameter from the Og 😢? (To gradually increase /decrease the volumen of the ratchet?
No, it is still there, it just became one parameter.

Midi BLE would have been nice as would have been a 2nd USB-C port instead of just USB-B. The keyboard button and function button should have been swapped with the keyboard button on top. Just some minor design things. Other than that I think a shit ton of software updates are prone to happen.

Just saying this to ANY company that brings out PART 2 or 3 etc of a product… We NEVER knew Digitakt 2 was coming out. That being said, why would you not have Overbridge working when it came out? It’s not like the customers had some time frame to be upset over. If the old version has something, put it on the new version.😂😂😂😂 COME ON guys
It's a full rebuild(the whole digitakt infrastructure, including codebase). So its not just to put it in, it must be made from scratch. F *** overbridge... 😅

yeah manual slicing is needed by yesterday lmfao
Just lock each step to a different start/end then resample the loop, bam, custom slices. It's not perfect but it's ridiculously easy
