Just got up to the Saitama vs The Mummy part. Saitama would lose both round 1 and 2 because Saitama is still a mortal human. He needs to breathe still as he had to hold his breath while on the moon so he could be asphyxiated and he will die of old age eventually against an immortal being that can't die of age or injury besides one specific method.
It was such fun to listen to, esp if you knew the characters (I did bail at 3hrs but am really keen to know who won). Sherlock Holmes was robbed though.
It was a good time and you guys did try to be objective.
He problem seems to be moving a bit too quickly and not defining powersets early on. Harry Potter should have defeated Santa easy

This was a terrible stream.
The Headless Horseman could have sweeped the competition if they'd taken his skills as a equestrian, and his warm axe into consideration.
Giving heart attacks that may be coincidental was the cherry on top.
Unfortunately I imagine Dark Phoenix would be able to find his geographic limitations and just camp him in round 3. RIP THE HERO HE NEEDED

Well same with King Arthur and Excaliburs scabbard... He shoulda been a heavyweight.
King Arthur not being a Heavyweight is just an example of how people discount the powers that are created in a literary setting. Gandalf suffered the same fate they just assumed that Gandalf would be bound by the rules of Tolkiens universe when they are fighting in a neutral dimension. Arthur cannot be defeated in battle or come to harm unless you are able to strip his kingship from him and cause him to become tyrannical. Obviously he couldn't beat something like Cthulhu, or I'd be willing to concede that. But he would beat almost any other humanoid fighter. Goku included. Goku isn't smart enough to understand the nuance I'm strategy required to beat someone who's literally invincible.

By an amazing coincidence, the region in question is Sleepy Hollow, NY. It's located in Westchester County. The same county where the X-Mansion resides.
Robocops face isn't a weakpoint, they surgically removed it and grafted it over the top of his armored skull so that their robot cop would appear more human to other cops.

I like how the most interesting discussions were in the Light and Middleweight catagories and the second Heavyweight started it just devolved into "Well can this attack actually hurt him, but that attack is able to shred 10,000 multiversus and makes you go insane just thinking about it for a nanosecond, ok but this character is outside of time and space and can create black holes using his asshole, but will that prevent him from getting mind controlled or can he break free using piss baby gamer mode, but piss baby gamer mode only works if he's able to drink coffee at 12PM, but in the other character's world drinking coffee at 12PM kills you"
Like in most long running anime (like Naruto or OnePiece), the most elaborate (tactically) fights happen earlier, before the characters power up. Early Naruto fights especially.

I don't blame the panel for not knowing but a full power King Arthur is invincible. Excalibur has a magic scabbard. It makes it so that in battle Arthur won't get hurt or lose a single drop of blood.
You can very easily argue a more experienced opponent could disarm Arthur who only gains that invincibilty while he has Avalon on him
@shadowofdimentio4618 Disarming Arthur wouldn't work, it's the scabbard that gives him invincibility, not the sword. I think it's fair to say the magic would keep Arthur from losing his weapon or scabbard anyways.
@@jeggsonvohees2201 There's no magic that's mentioned that says he can't be disarmed and I am aware it's specifically the scabbard. I think most people would have a difficult time figuring out that specifically BUT it's still possible. He did lose it in life after all and there doesn't seem like much magic was involved since by then Morgana was peaceful.
@shadowofdimentio4618 He lost the scabbard because someone stole it when he didn't have it on his person. The magic only works when he's wearing it, that's why it could be stolen.
As for disarming by a skilled opponent, I still don't think it can happen. When he fought the Black Knight a second time, Arthur easily beat him despite the BK still being a much better fighter than him. The scabbard appears to be able to compensate for the skill of an enemy combatant.
@@jeggsonvohees2201 Both can you find a source that states this? All of this seems like a lot of guessing that he must have some magical protection but it's never stated this is the case.
As for the Black Knight be a more talented fighter, it's important to know there were several black knights AND Arthur had the distinct advantage of being invincible. If I was in a short fight with a master but I was also invincible I would also probably win despite our differences and Arthur has way more skill.
A lot of characters in the light weight (if either given the knowledge or just making a guess) COULD disarm him through more experienced fighting styles (MMA Destroys medieval brawling), weaponry like explosives and better tactics.
I feel like you need to use a hyper specific Arthur to truly give him the the since his invincability only carries him so far when he needs his scabbard on him and there's nothing that states (magical or otherwise) that you cannot remove it with enough force

I don't think Mr. I wins, but If you consider Hercules is not invulnerable in the myths, he is still mortal. Its only after he transcends to Godhood that he becomes unkillable.
So if you examine what they are boiled down... Men with incredible strength. Neither are immune to damage, just resistant, and both are fighters. I think Herc wins round 1 because he's Greek and they invented wrestling. Mr. I wins round 2 because he is shown to be able to pickup trees like its nothing and he just throws it at Herc or beats him from 40 feet away while Herc tries to close the distance. And Herc wins 3 as either a god, or just with all the magical gifts from the gods he gets. Mr.I gets a suit and a car, not much against a Pegasus, magic sword, invulnerable lionskin, and medusa head.
As for Disney... never seen it so can't comment.

King Arthur can't be defeated in battle and cannot lose a drop of blood in battle as long as he is a true and honorable King. To defeat Arthur you could immobilize him or imprison him forever potentially or convince his Knights to betray him and force him to commit an act of tyranny. I could see Arthur losing to psychic type characters/manipulative characters but Arthur can't lose to normal fighters/damage.
Arthur can also summon a real fuck -off GoT style dragon from his shield.

Sure, you could assume he's immune to anything that dxists in a romantacized medieval age, plus a decent bit of magic.
But, a nuke turning him and thr very air he breathes into ash and plasm? The death star blowing up the planet? Goku unleashing universe destroying blasts?
It's a bit beyond what the scabbard should be assumed to beat.
Still, I imagine the scabbard would be for the third fight only? Which Arthur should have won anyway by getting an army of normies, his dagger and cloak of invisibility, etc. Nathan isn't beating a whole kingdom, with or without the Round or its mages.

I know Efap aren't the biggest mythology nerds, but uh, King Arthur completely stomps, without or without excalibur considering he's explicitly superhuman and has done things like tanking blows from giants and surviving (without his scabbard), killed dragons, wrestled giants and split their skulls.

Like it genuinely wouldn't matter how strong someone like...uh, MCU hulk was (do not read hulk comics), by fate's rules he wouldn't have any shit with mystery and he'd get screwed.

I'm just starting heavyweight, but some of Mauler's decisions of what went into lightweight and mediumweight class were super weird. Like Minecraft Steve and Bugs Bunny paired with regular humans in lightweight while a regular Pikachu, Frankenstein's monster and a Werewolf were in mediumweight with two time travelers...
wat? im just now gotten to steve and think steve could possibly be in heavy class due to world shaping abilities but bugs bunny in lightweight as well?

I'm not done lightweight yet but so far it seems lightweight are characters who rely entirely on equipment or outside gimmicks. When stripped of everything in Round 1 they only have their basic physique and combat prowess.

I am Disgusted an disturbed that you let Daredevil win over Popeye in the third round. You had to arbitrarily limit Popeye to a single can of spinach.

These guys aren't power scalers, which is what made this episode interesting to me.
As someone who is addicted to power scaling videos, it was kind of fresh to see these guys ponder on such things.
With that being said, Popeye probably solos this entire line up, except for bugs bunny.

If Mauler read the onepunch man comics , he would be disqualified from the match as well. Siatama will always exponentially surpass his opponent. That's his character. Even things beyond space and time, he even learned to turn back time as well.
Siatama will even destroy an omnicron powered up kirby in one punch.
No, but I get your meaning... He's like Bugs, a joke of a character. He will win in the end but thats just because the writer says so, which is the same as bugs. But if we are taking away plot armour, there are multiple characters who have survived multiple punches from him who are weaker than either Kirby or Omnicron. Much like Bugs however, it becomes moot because his power is literally "The joke is he always wins..."

I’ve just seen Wolverine cut down way too many Sentinels to imagine Optimus having a great chance at surviving.
Optimus has his own god-like version in round 3 that he'd have the win easily. His weapons are also capable of disintegrating Wolverine. In round 1, all optimus needs to do is slap him off. I just imagine wolverine jumping for his face and him literally slapping the short man miles across the abyss

As a big Transformers fan, I would be the first to say Unicron isn’t THAT powerful. The wiki is definitely a case of people adding in every ability across all iterations with very generous interpretations. I would also count a defeat differently too, because destroying him in one universe should count as a win, not having to erase him from the multiverse. He came off as very OP in this competition because no one was knowledgeable about him and the wiki has the same issue as every comic character where it makes everyone sound like an unstoppable super god. He never approaches this level of power in any movie / show (maybe there’s an insane comic out there, but they excluded outliers in the discussions, like Iron Man’s godbuster armor). As much as I like him, Saitama could probably obliterate him with ease and I would count that as a victory
Unicron is weird because the writers pulled a DC style new god singularity thing for him that made it so that all Unicrons across all pieces of Transformers media are all technically the same character. The only real way to interpret that in a way that makes sense is that the Unicrons they interact with are all avatars of varying finite levels of power and the real Unicron who wanders the multiverse isn't fully aware of all his defeats. The Unicron singularity thing is corroborated by the Transformers Collectors' Club series, which was officially licensed.

I'm with Chat. Garrus should've been reinstated after Steve was DQ'd. That would've put Garrus vs Snake in the finals which I think would've been an interesting conversation.
Both good hand to hand fighters with Snake edging out skill and Garrus natural strength and armor.
Both skilled stealth operatives where one focuses on longer range while the other is in their ideal environment.
Final round I think would more clearly favor the Normandy with the ability to attack from orbit.

I think one of the major problems throwing wrenches into the battles is that a lot of the analysis is being done where one, the other, or both parties know what the other is capable of from the start, but they made a rule saying that they wouldnt know the other's capabilities. for example, helldiver vs luffy, and terminator vs doc brown. in the helldiver vs luffy battle, it was ruled that helldiver would lose because he wouldnt know what luffy's ability was and that would mean he gets killed. yet, in the doc brown vs t800, most of the arguments were in favor of doc going to the past to defeat skynet or the future to get a weapon capable of killing a terminator as if he knows what one is already, but he wouldnt. i think the next time anything like this goes on, they need a clear list of rules made that is put on screen so everyone can know exactly what is and isnt to be considered in the battle.

@@MarcioGianottiHim being biased for Nintendo characters doesn't really mean much if others are biased against them like yourself. Like for example, Link vs Geralt had most of the panel talk all about the latter's abilities while actively downplaying the former's. I can chalk up the first round to not matter much and the second round is certainly arguable but the fact that they even spent longer than half a minute on round 3 shows that lack of knowledge was equating to a near automatic loss. The whole point of each discussion is to have that discussion. If somebody knows more than the rest of the panel then that's important to share even if you find it annoying because the premise of these matchups is to give the characters at least a fair look(even though that was not really the case for most of the stream)

I think Steve get stuff ascrived to him that is not based on actual lore. Yes, he could build something big, but they are visual only. Steve building an 'Enterprise' does not resolve to a functional starship. Just a building that looks like a starship.

This is one of my favorite EFAPs already. Really fun idea and you there’s so many other potential characters you can throw in for a potential second part of this.
King Arthur at stage 3 not only has a very sharp sword capable of cleaving through steel, but the scabbard prevents a drop of his blood being spilled, making him immune to blood loss injuries, and he also possessed an invisibility cloak. He is a lot more powerful than you made him out to be.

I think Steve was way more overpowered than he should have been, yet underpowered at the same time. In feats of strength he should have been WAY more powerful. But in terms of him building things he was overpowered. Nothing he builds actually moves or works. He could build a "Normandy", but it would just be equivalent to a replica/model. If we allow mods, yeah, it could work. But then Steve would wipe out everyone in every weight class.

@@BigFry9591 I think Steve's power comes from his access to magic. Sure 1st round he gets bodied... but you give him access to some lava, and a bucket, some water, and a bit of iron ore and trees, and all of a sudden he can bait his opponents into literal hell and blow them up with beds and enchant a sword that can cleave through metal. His armour can be bullet proof AND be magical on top of that, and he can summon magic golems and enemies. And if you don't kill him in one shot he can place a wall of solid granite and heal back up to full with a slice of meat.

I think in the first round he should actually be winning. Steve's fists have crazy knockback, so he can essentially just knock his opponents off the edge with every hit.
For the rest of the rounds we'd need to consult the full rules and regulations of the combat arenas. The second round gives everyone their basic gear loadout. I don't think there are passive creatures in the arena. It's a never ending forest of trees. Even if it had creatures, would it even work on Minecraft logic, or the logic of the other game, or the logic of our world? If it's our world then there would be no sheep in the forest. And even if there were, it would take forever to find them. And regardless of gear, going up against Garrus, Garrus has the Normandy. He'd be blowing Steve away with the immense firepower.
Nothing in Minecraft says that Steve's armor is bulletproof. Steve gets hurt all the same from any attack. Armor just reduces the damage taken. Protection would give a bit of a bonus, but any other effects would be ineffective against bullets and cannons.
Steve would not be able to summon enemies, since they wouldn't want be considered a part of his "team". But even if he could use them, they'd attack him as well. That's considering if he even has the resources to summon them in the first place. The Wither for example. Can he even go to the Nether if the entire battlefield is supposed to be a forest? Would there even be enemies spawning in the Nether?
Beds don't explode unless used in other dimensions where you can't sleep.
I can't help but think about Garrus just sitting in the Normandy for the entire match and just blasting the area where Steve is the entire time until he's dead. Steve can't contend with orbital bombardments.
