- Can I name all 50 USA State Flags? Now that I have learned all 197 flags of the world, it's time to see what other flags I can learn! Starting with all 50 USA State flags! on JackSucksAtGeography we upload a range of easy to watch geography related games. We mainly play Sporcle games like "naming all 197 countries". I successfully learned all 197 countries and plan to learn more Geography trivia. On this channel I also play Geoguessr. This is a game that uses Google Street View to drop you in a random location and you have to work out exactly where you are on the worldwide map. Geoguessr was created in 2013. It has been about a month or so now, but Utah has a new state flag.
And it has more color to it than just a blue background

The way to remember Montana's flag:
There are mountains on it, and mountain in Spanish is montaña, which is similar to Montana (actually why it was named Montana).
Also Colorado is "Colored" in english, and "Nevada" means snowfall!

Watching Jack do his tricks is interesting and funny. Most of the flags have history of that state shown on them. I know you don't know the history of the states which is definitely funny

Fun fact: The flower in the new Mississippi flag is a magnolia. The new flag looks so much better than the former one with the Confederate battle flag. And the animals on the Michigan flag are just an elk and moose

As someone from Nevada can confirm. As for Reno mentioned above, they themselves call themselves a little city, ore more accurately the biggest little city in the world. As for Carson, it's not that big, it's main purpose being the capital. Though I do believe there are a lot of suburbs between the two these days. It's been 15 years since I've been up there. Though if you want to be pedantic, Las Vegas isn't just one city. There are 3 main cities here and lots of city that resides in Clark County.

A not so fun fact: look up what Mississippi’s old flag looked like. They changed it in 2021.

The Maryland flag is made of the coat of arms of two of the most prominent families in Maryland history. Also funfact- Marylanders are obsessed with the flag. People own shirts, shorts, magnets, bumper stickers, hats, etc with the flag on it.

These stars at Alaskan flag (these in left bottom corner) is a Great Bear constelation (also known as Great Cart). Actually at the bend of the handle of the "cart" there are two stars that one of them covering the other. Around 5 units over a gondola of the Cart there are two stars of Small Bear (Small Cart) at the end of which handle there is a Polar Star (the lightest star of Small Bear constellation) that assigns the North. (Small Bear isn't visible at the Alaskan flag, it's just a curiousity, possibly the star in right upper corner represents the Polar Star).

you probably don't care about this but on the South Carolina flag, that "moon" is actually a crescent! During the Revolutionary War and Civil War. Soldiers would wear the crescent around their necks so the couldn't get stabbed there by bayonets!

I took the quiz about 10 times, each time getting closer and closer. I finally got it eventually. The hardest ones were Nebraska and New Hampshire. To me, they were almost the exact same. I only got them all because Nebraska’s circle in the center was slightly bigger than New Hampshire. Maine was hard, and I only got it because it wasn’t any of the others.

Nebraska gets pretty cold in the winter. Not as cold as some other states like Minnesota or Newyork but it does get cold. Also gets pretty hot in the summer.
