this review is damn underrated
I would still definitely advise getting an additional pop filter for this mic. There is one built in but if you’re close enough for something like streaming or podcasting, you might still get some plosives and fricatives.
Mic hears one plenty well enough from 6ish inches away. Don't have to eat your mic for people to hear you

Just picked one up for $55 on eBay with the mount and cable. Hoping I don't need any other adapters for my boom to replace my cheap Chinese mic I've been using for years. Seems like a decent quality mic, all-in-all. Can't wait to use it.

hey. I’ve been looking for this mic and it’s been out of stock forever. Where’d you get it and how’d you pay for it?
I pre-ordered, however since using for a month I'm returning. Seems to always cut out and reconnect, which gives you a robotic voice. Also turns itself off mute in the process. (This is in discord) I've tried a lot, but basically mic looks great, but for me I'll likely go back to the rode.

Why is the Quadcast S being sold for $350 US?? It’s the same as the standard Quadcast, the only difference is USB-C connection and RGP (making the power consumption go up slightly). Walmart is selling the thing for $350 as well. I don’t understand the price gouging. The MRSP of the mic is $180 and you can’t buy the S on hyperx’s website... anyone know where else to buy this? Amazon has ridiculous pricing as well $250-$400 as of December 2020.

Excellent review! But the Ngenuity software is only available for Windows.
It has conflict with RGB Fusion which makes the HyperX Ngenuity program not recognize the microphone to enter to change the color and deal with the settings.
Great video! How do you feel about the bass in the vocals right out of the box?
I waited a month for mine to ship , when it arrived I plugged it into my computer and the mic was working great , then I went to install the software and it crashed the mic rendering it broken and customer service said I had to get it replaced. Why would I get it replaced if it crashes upon download of the software

I wasnt planning at all to buy a mic instead I was buying a 300 dollar gaming chair when I came across this mic on sale from 150 to 119 and I had to get it especially because the original dropped to 89... Will 400. Dollars down the drain😬😬😬

Is this a good mic for someone like me that talks quiet lol I’m a streamer and I tend to talk quiet sometimes. I have a fifine mic and it seems to not be picking me up even with the settings turned up. I can help that I talk quiet sometimes while gaming. I really want a good clear mic because a lot of my friends tell me they can’t hear me.

When will the Quadcast - S be release, and is it better than the Old version?
It's already released but I think it's been sold out from a few retailers. I think the only thing that differs from the old version is the addition of RGB instead of a static color.

it's the best usb mic ever and it even has rgb lightning like no other mics. (i have this exact mic for gaming and it's the best mic ever)

Elgato makes some awesome stuff, and if you're already invested in Elgato's ecosystem then it might be the way to go, but the Quadcast S offers clean sound, pickup patterns, and, in my opinion, just looks better than the Elgato Wave 1.

It looks like just a standard, inexpensive mic boom arm from Amazon. I have one myself and they can be found from all sorts of sellers.

I realise im watching a video from three years ago, so I doubt anyone will reply, but does the mic rotate horizontally in the shock mount, as my boom arm comes from the left, and based on the setup in the video, that suggests I would actually be facing the front of the mic, rather the side. Cheers
