Ah... '98, Eighteen years old, Grinners, Spiderbait, Jebzy, Regurgitator , They were the good ol days. Many fond memories of BDO, Livid, Homebake. Wish I could go back in time and be eighteen again. Life was easy.

Saw them last night in Adelaide, and if anything they sound even better now, 21 years later. They fucking blew it up. So much better than I expected. Much respect to Phil!

Homebake aka mudbake were the best times in byron, slinging mud at each other. After we head to Belongil to jump in the ocean to wash off the mud and walk along the beach back to town. Can't wait to see the Grinners on there 2024 tour. Living in Devonport now and so excited that they are heading here. I might even fly up to see them in Ballina RSL to rock out with all my nth coast buddies as that's where it all started. I am getting a crew together for Devrock town. Why are they not playing the AFL Grand final? So iconic to our Aussie music legends. ❤

Fck, out of nowhere I started crying, I can't even remember the last time I cried. Life was so awesome back then. Man, I miss the 90s. Phones and social media has destroyed everything. You don't know what you got until it's gone…
Fuck!! My first ever festival was homebake 1999, and I still remember seeing Grinspoon, Silver Chair and Powderfinger..... I was just 14 and made it to the front of the mosh pit.
I was 15 years old back then and smack bang in the middle of that pit!!! So fkn good.
Hahahhaha just watched the entire set, loved it throughly ;) A few years before this show, around 96, the Grinners were a uni band which came to play at Byron bay High school to play for a social school party.....Fark me!!! I remember all the students there losing their marbles rocking out... its been great to see them living large, flying the banner over the past few decades. Cheers lads :)
Sent my kids to that concert bdyo with their first phones back in the day and here I’m watching Jamo etc in 2024, and this band has never seemed less important😊

@43Kouta Thanks for sharing mate!! The Grinners were such a massive part of my 20s.....still 1 of my absolute favourite bands to this day. I just love kicking back with a few too many beers and watching these live vids and reminiscing about awesome times sadly gone by! :-)

With the disgusting police state in NSW these days, this sort of festival would NEVER be allowed at the Domain now. Its such a shame. Sydney was amazing back then :(
