Not always. My concert band has multiple very good directors but we have lots and lots of students who just don’t care. So we’re above average, but not truly great.
Sorry that I saw this only now. This band has all the North Texas system tools that are available organized into a sell focused system. This band is not a one-year chance of good players. The assistants and head director work with each other and communicate from the beginner band, feeder bands to the top Honors band. The private lesson teachers are carefully chosen and the expectations and scheduled scale and playing tests are systematically organized. Assistant John is a terrific trumpet player, private teacher and band director.
MR.T check him out Timps Trumpet he’s amazing head of honor band,I’m in honor band this year and a trumpet players we have a pretty good curriculum and we focus a lot in technique our fall concert was on Friday we played 2 pieces that were pretty easy as they were our first pieces of the year
Ehhh, I find most people who are THE TOP don't technically tap their toe but instead know the tempo through flow, and if most but not all. The top players tap their toes IN their shoe, not use their shoe to tap the tempo, but they're good either way.
Neato. I’m surprised that I didn’t see any good marching bands that this program feeds into, or maybe I’m not looking hard enough. They sounded great two years ago, so I’m sure they sound great now under the same director. It’s awesome that schools are continuing to foster educational opportunities within the field of music.
You should see all the Chinese and Japanese bands out there. All it takes is discipline and a good Director to make a good band not the age or grade of the musicians.
This band needs a new band hall. They barely fit in there. Time for admin to reward them for their success and build them an addition with more practice rooms and a big band hall.
They sound good and I can admit that and I’m willing to compete with that band with my middle school band Lee and One thing that I here is just tuning and their tonguing
Yeah. I can confirm that. We played Incantation and Dance my eighth grade year at Rice. And we played it really well. (I’m a junior now at Plano West Senior High. I miss those days. Band back then was actually more fun than it is now.)
That because they director is good and the students listen. See my band director sits in his chair on his tablet all day. And the students talk..all the time
@@roncom4321 you also have to consider that there's more than one band. just because the top band made sweepstakes, as well as "best band of the day" doesn't mean that the lower bands did. it's like a and b teams in football. the a team being amazing or sucking is completely independent from the b team's performance
@@roncom4321 ok after checking the records, you're talking about the varsity band of clark high school. they made 5 1s and 1 2, though they did play grade 4 music (as seen in the pml)
@@harveyknguyen you know you have a really good point. Uil doesn't necessarily determine the "best band." I mean at the end of the day idrc I'm a freshman now and moved on. But I checked the records and we were a triple c band and they were only a double c. But it doesn't seem they entered in 2019.
Our band is better we got 2nd at the Greater Southwest Music Festival and we win the Irons music festival and we’re in middle school and we played children’s march
yes, later on, private teachers should work with them to develop an inner rhythm or beat. because the feet and shoes can get tired. I have my students move toes up and down inside of shoes.
These fools over here thinking they're good, get on our level, we can play a mean hot cross buns.
Bob the Frog lmao.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahhahhahahahahahahahahahahajahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahahhhahahhahahahhahahah
Bob the Frog I CANT HAHAHAHA
Hot cross buns is eassssssyyyyyyyyyy!
@@Luigi-hh1sh @youmissedthejoke
It’s usually because of the director. If a director is good, the band is good and vice versa.

God bless you
@@tromboneman4517 Yup, felt.
Not always my directors are good but my band mates are shit
yes but it also matters about the student. If he hates band he won’t try to get better
Holy shit all those instruments are hella expensive
@@ok-gg5kp I have one
Yooooo, I thought my band was good, but now I look at this, and WOW !!!
Same!
Thanks besties we still this good 5 years later
Just graduated from this place.
Made all 1s in UIL and the Solo Contest.
I never knew they had originally got this award. Mind blowing.

0:41 u can tell there good when most of the band is actually tapping there toe

U know they good when they have 3 bassoons
Congrats from Fowler Middle School

The song that they played in the video is Amparita Roca and it’s so good
Agreed I love it
@Daily dose of bruhs your band must suck and i'm sorry for you

They sounded great two years ago, so I’m sure they sound great now under the same director. It’s awesome that schools are continuing to foster educational opportunities within the field of music.
The song they were playing was Amparito Roca
Jacob Noriega I played that at a band camp
oh jeez, their playing Anporito Roca in the background, that was one of the more difficult pieces we played in our NEKMEA Districts honor band.
You should see all the Chinese and Japanese bands out there. All it takes is discipline and a good Director to make a good band not the age or grade of the musicians.
1:19 is the copacabana or amparito roca?
Amparito Roca.
Bruh Our school can top them with lightly row
This is the exact same layout as my school band room, there’s a different director though.
We played amparita rocka too Joshua autrey is our band director we’re one of the best
I know that song, it's Amparito Roca, grade 3 song
“World class orchestra”
JJloManning yes, orchestra, there are violins, violas, cellos, basses, etc
"Wind orchestra" 😉
They sound like a good high school band, which is still pretty impressive
I was in this competition from Comanche... Apparently did pretty good, I was told I was "really good", didn't turn out lol
I go here and the band is really good
Haha, funny, my middle school just won it and we played at the White House, where's our interview? (Cooper MS)
This band needs a new band hall. They barely fit in there. Time for admin to reward them for their success and build them an addition with more practice rooms and a big band hall.
Oh we have a lot of practice rooms and it’s bigger in reali life but u right it does needa be bigger
They sound good and I can admit that and I’m willing to compete with that band with my middle school band Lee and One thing that I here is just tuning and their tonguing
Texas middle school bands deserve such an honor!
Dudeee they are casually rehearsing amparito roca!
I thought Rice was the best

We are playing at dawn they slept, Shenandoah, the witch and the saint, and how to train your dragon
My middle school band sounded the same honestly.
Dang imagine them in highschool if they stay
My band is also internationally recognized. It’s the worst in the continent... at least some people in it.
That because they director is good and the students listen. See my band director sits in his chair on his tablet all day. And the students talk..all the time
No one our band director * cries╥﹏╥
They lucky they have a full band we dont even have half not even a baritone
Same by band is tiny
over here my school band is half assing everything.. most people arent even serious smh
That one student: 💀
I wish my band had 3 or more French horns 😔😔
I’m all alone with my friend
Ay who from Fowler middle
You couldn't even here them 💀
I Play Seven Nation Army
HEY BERRY MILLER GOT THAT TOO
Broooo... I thought our band was pretty good but nopeeee😂 Holland middle school band check us out btw
Ok but if they're so good how come my band beat them at uil? (If they did go to uil, im assuming since my school is close by)
there aren't any middle school uil competitions in which bands compete against each other
you only get rated and that's it

My 1st period concert band sucks
I remember playing amparito roca in middle school, I hated it, I was 1st trumpet. It was just too boring
Amparito Roca
Our band is better we got 2nd at the Greater Southwest Music Festival and we win the Irons music festival and we’re in middle school and we played children’s march
Ninjas Ninja y’all played the easy version of children’s march. Also the comps y’all went aren’t national comps.
Bob Ross wtf how do u know 😂😂😂
Ninjas Ninja bc my little sister is in the band. It’s like a big coincidence I found this comment here😂
Ninjas Ninja also they don’t allow middle schools to play grade 5 literature
Bob Ross WTF who is she
ayeee stop the habit of stepping your shoes to count the beat , you should count the beat with your heart and trust the conductor
I trust my conductor plenty just not myself to keep on beat
yes, later on, private teachers should work with them to develop an inner rhythm or beat. because the feet and shoes can get tired. I have my students move toes up and down inside of shoes.
Right because my heart is beating 130 beats per minute
um my beginner band can nearly play that lol! and advance band can play this: intantum lux nostolgia, and welcome to the jungle
Nerds! The tv anchor looks like a poor man's Bobby flay

Can't relate
They’re good, but not really THAT good. My Middle school is about just as good.
