    I dun really have a clear look on it. But if the crown sides are flat then it's a 97 sl.but if its slightly rounded like the link you gave,it is a 96..

    I'm not sure of the origin of the crown and knob. I was also looking for that answer. But I believe they should be the original Judy SL 96. As for the travel, I believe the spring is too stiff for me, but since it is not adjustable, can't really do much. This is one of the earliest forks with any sort of damping, so the adjustment is made by using 2mm allen key from the bottom. And I noticed that compression damping was affected when I change the rebound, so I may have set it too soft.

    Yup it is goldish stanchion. Mine looks exactly like the one in the link in my comment above.

    the crown and adjuster knobs are from 1997 SL? Little travel from what i can see.no damping too..

    that's a 97 judy crown and knobs for sure.Somebody swap it. Is the stanchion color goldish?
