I've always found this module series to be perfect for adding in some Lovecraftian elements. A "Cthulhu Cult" fits in perfectly. BTW---the U designation supposedly stood for "Underwater".
Cool idea, and I can see how that would work (the first part of the Enemy Within Campaign for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is a similarly toned adventure about hunting down a cult).
and U for Underwater, that surprises me, as if you end up underwater in this adventure things have gone seriously wrong :D
The sinister secret of Saltmarsh is proof TSR not making a Scooby-doo RPG a big missed opportunity. Considering TSR did make the Bullwinkle and Rocky RPG.
I'm probably to nostalgic as it was my first ever RPG adventure, but I really think this one is an all time classic.
And as for the Rocky and Bullwinkle RPG, I was not aware of that one, I'm now intrigued.
