This archaeologic site is very well preserved, it shows us how the buildings were 2000 years ago! The basins for the purification rite(already in use at that time) and even a theater! A very interesting visit Zahi, thank you!
These are some of the best preserved mikvahs that I have seen--amazing...it would be nice to see a map of Solomon's pools and to see how the water was sourced...thanks, dts/usa
Can you imagine? If this is what they built to carry their water supply--can you just imagine what the Temple above it must have looked like? The part that they wanted everyone to see? (we are looking at the hidden part)...unbelievable feat of engineering for the time...dts/usa
What is amazing is that these walls were built 2000 years ago--they are now under the Western Wall, but at that time, the aqueduct was outside the wall an above ground? (not sure how that works exactly)...still it shows that it is hard for us to picture Jerusalem of 2000 years ago when everything today is several layers under the ground...Still, it does prove that the Israelites were superior builders (they worked on the great pyramids of Egypt, after all)...they were and are brilliant builders...dts/usa
The theater is amazing (but so close to the mikvahs?? I am not sure that I understand that part)...and clearly we are only seeing a small portion of the Western Wall above ground, it goes far below the ground of today...I am assuming that this theater would have been outside 2000 years ago (not underground)...would it have been possible for Joseph (the father) and Jesus to work on these projects? (or would they have been built earlier?)...interesting, dts/usa
Thank you Zahi for another great tour. This is an amazing place! Are the Western Wall Tunnels still open or when will they be opened? It would be wonderful to visit both. Again, todah!

We know that shortly after the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, Joseph fled with his family to Egypt and that they stayed there for a period of years (they did not return in a few days or weeks), while Herrod cooled off--during this time, Joseph would have to have fed his family: he was a carpenter/stone mason--perhaps, he honed his skills by working on some of the Egyptian tombs/pyramids?? (or was this too early?)--were they still being built at this time (they clearly were being built at the time of Moses--but Egyptians must have continued building them for several hundred years--at least)...then, Jesus learned his craft at the hands of his step-father...did he later utilize that knowledge in Jerusalem for a time? dts/usa
Y are people in your country telling christians to go home. What is this. I've asked for a Rabbi to prophecy over me and send me a email and hold nothing back. What happened?
Unfortunately, the religious world everywhere is becoming extreme. Christian against Christian, Jew against Christian, Christian against Jew, etc. If we accept the knowledge that everyone can believe in God in their own way, the world will be better.

Interesting is how some 'historians' out there claiming that nothing left from the temple since it was completely destroyed in the city of David.
No one that I know thinks like that
