Daenerys is my most favorite character, which is odd for me who doesn't usually like female characters. But Daenerys is all I could ask for in any character. She is beautiful, charismatic, goodhearted, but doesn't hesitate to be ruthless when needed. She fights for her own purpose without any doubt or self-pity (She is not a moody reluctant hero/leader that we've seen annoyingly many times) She doesn't let anyone change her and follows her own instincts. And of course the dragons!
@Josh Adams No, if Daenerys listened to Olenna instead of Tyrion, she would've won the throne, have Rhaegal alive, and not dead. And Tyrion didn't want to hurt his family, when Dany accepted Tyrion as her hand because Dany told him that he already knew what's gonna happen to his family. But since they butchered her story, they made her listen to Tyrion who was clearly stupid in the last seasons.
Cuz its a stupid quote thats why. Many ppl say that she wont be a good ruler cuz shes only a conquerer, but they forget. Anyone born into power can be taught how to rule, if they are willing to learn and choose the right teachers. But not everyone can be a conquerer, that is only in her DNA. What does Daario know anyway? Hes the one who wanted her to gather all the masters in a feast and butcher them all, she refused his advice. Thats what a great ruler does. She knows when to listen and when to ignore. If she had always listened to Jorah, Barristan or Daario she would still be a beggar queen or dead.
Dany made a choice which cost lives thereby her life was deservedly forfeit. Her arc wasn't butchered but she became a butcher becoming what she professed to despise and remove.

Dany is a conqueror but she doesn’t have a patience for the diplomacy required to rule. I think Dany had come so far but she won’t be sitting on the Iron Throne.
Missendei's "she was the queen we chose" puts lie to Martin's whole 'feudalism is bad' blather as his reason for the series. The first real adaptation kills the Queen chosen by freed slaves and ends with a bunch of rich noblemen, the same ones as before, 'electing a new king' who, funnily enough is possessed. Rhaenys had it right. Men would rather die than see a woman ascend the Iron Throne. Or, in Martin's case, assassinate his whole story.
