It is absolutely pathetic how complicated it is to simply play a game. You should be able to just open it and play. Not have to do all this signing up for Rockstar crap. You sadly will not be able to play. I’ve created multiple tickets with this same issue and they refuse to help/think I’m trying to steal an account or something. I told them I could prove that it was me the account belongs too and have my name bday and even my fn address. But still they refuse to help. R* customer support is the worst

I bought the game on steam and when i went to play it says theres a Rockstar account already linked (wasn't me, but maybe my account was compromised at some point). Now I'm trying to give them my steam ID and have them just remove whatever is attached to that steam ID on their end.

I can see my steam account there but its not letting me unlink it it says "Info" then when i click that it says "Steam accounts are permanently linked to Rockstar Games accounts. If you are having issues with your account please contact customer support." What am i supposed to do.
Don’t go through with it if you unlink your account you will NOT be able to play on another account even if it’s linked to it. I made this mistake so I couldn’t play on my account. So I had to buy it again.

This is no longer the case. I wrote Rockstar as unlinking is no longer a manual process. Rockstar support says that you will basically forfeit your ability to play your Rockstar games. This also includes Online.

Please tell me you see this what im trying to do is unlink a rockstar account from steam i no longer have access to the rockstar account and whenever i try to sign in with my new one it says it doesnt match the linked account so i will try requesting it to be linked rather than unlinked in the help section of social club if thare is nothing past this point im comment by the next 24 hours than it didnt work.

I can related this specific problem you have. The old email linked to my rockstar is PERMANENTLY deleted. I tried telling supports about it and they still ask me if I had access to the old email. Smh
i contacted the rockstar support and they said "unlinking the accounts will result in being unable to play GTA Online as well as GTAV with either of these accounts" so its not gonna work

Hi there, I have played gta v on epic games since it was free, and I bought the game also on steam now since it is on awesome sale, and I accidentally linked my epic games one with the steam one, let me get this short, I know I will be able to unlink my epic gta v acc from steam, but the one thing that scares me is that in their mail they said once I unlink the acc I wont be able to play gta v no more. Or is that just temporary till I make new social club and link it with my steam acc?
I believe that is temporary but better to check with rockstar support for more info regarding this
@@techtutortutorials I saw more info in discussions where people asked each other, where one guy replied that gta v activation code is in the account that is removed from your acc and you won't be able to play the game at all
I haven't faced any of the problems I wrote to support today that I want my acc unlinked, and r* support just told me to send them my sc nickname and steam id, which I did.

the activation key is boring after being banned you have to repurchase it on epic games instead of repurchasing after the ban.
My problem is my gta. 5 account has permabent online ban. Will this effect Gta6 online ? Hopefully the ban doesnt goes to that 😢

This is so annoying, steam should do something so we would be able to unlink our account from social club using steam. Since I bought the game on Steam, I should be able to unlink whenever I want, I lost access to my social club account and the recovery email, Now I can't play Rdr2, Gta 5 and Gta trilogy... I won't buy those game again.

GTA Is a joke. I finished all of my doomsday heist setups and I was tired at 4:00am. I forgot to close my game and then it kicked me for being idle to long (Obviously). But then, I tried logging on this morning and it says I'm Permanently BANNED of of the game. I made a new rockstar account but my old one was linked to my steam. Nope. Because the CD code is connected to your old account. Meaning you can’t play GTA on another account.

It says that because the activation code (your CD code) is connected to your old account. Meaning you will have to buy it again. Rockstar is damn stupid
