  • The next time you pick up a video game or a toy that makes sound, you might be listening to music or audio that was produced by Barry Leitch of Bryan. Originally from Scotland, Barry has been working behind the scenes in the game and toy world for several years. Chances are you've heard his work before, you just didn't know some of its origins were from right here in Northwest Ohio. In addition to learning about his past, we also talked Barry into doing some on-the-spot composing.

The music this guy did for TOPGEAR was just perfect and hallucinating.

AlucardMorgurth agree! Has a somewhat detuned Saw Wav sound similar to the access virus sound...

His soundtrack on San Francisco Rush 2049 still remains one of my all time favorite game soundtracks of all time. It's the reason I got into EDM, I needed more things like that soundtrack lol

The song Barry played around 20:30 kinda sounds like Queen's Radio Gaga. :D Also, huge respect for Barry, for still using a tracker (Renoise) for his modern music! :)

+Mano Saarinen It's still one of the most creative, well-made soundtracks I've heard. I just can't get enough it.

Silkworm was his the best work. It still rocks 30 years later. I'm surprised no one remembers the soundtrack.

Years of not knowing whose composed some of my favourite 16 bit music led me here. Now I know Barry Leitch is the man behind the tunes. Brazillians seem to really love Top Gear for Super Nintendo for some reason. I think it has something to do with them having fewer releases down there. There's a new iOS game that's an homage to top gear called Horizon Chase that looks really cool. It has Barry's music in it and it looks like a nice bright game. Ps4 plz

Feels like most of the games use generic type of music that lack spirit and motivation for the game.
