I was rolling my eyes, like boo hoo this is how international fans feel every vlive their faves do, and many they don't ever get English subs so we either have to study Korean ourselves or depend on fans who speaks Korean and can translate it
I think there is definitely mistreatment with foreign idols but it definitely differs within different companies. There are definitely some companies that mistreated foreign idols but not all of them do.

Yes, that plays a small part in the hate some Japanese idols get, but that is not the major reason why they are specifically getting hate from the Knetz. Reading all the top comments(with the most likes) from numerous videos featuring the Japanese idols, most of them either defend the idols or they criticize their nasal voice and how the company didn't train them enough to have good pronunciations. This video showed all the comments that got 0-3 likes, which I don't think really represents what the majority of the Knetz think...

Also she has huge popularity in Thailand too. So she can make money in china and Thailand. Other members only make money in Korea. That is main difference.

Most big entertainment companies do give numerous Korean AND English lessons (some even teach Chinese), so it really comes down to the idols themselves to either try to learn them or not because they have the resources(foreign language teachers)

I don't agree that the mistreatment issues in Lisa's case are baseless. When Lisa debuted, she got paid less compared to the Korean members of Blackpink and was the least promoted member especially in South Korea. There were also a lot times when she got the least appealing and weirdest outfits when they attended music shows (thankfully, she was able to pull them off because of her good body proportions). Now Lisa is famous internationally but it does not mean that she no longer gets mistreated. With regard to promotions and advertisements she's now getting left and right, let me clarify one thing. YG did not get them for Lisa. Lisa earned them all. Those international ambassadorship she got are because brands want her and not because YG gave them to her. Even the magazine covers are all sponsored by the brands and not because YG got them for her. In fact, I think YG is strict when it comes to Lisa accepting magazine covers. Remember in 2019 Bazaar Thailand cover. the magazine had to wait for 5-6 months just for the company to allow Lisa to grace the cover. Think of it this way, if they want to promote Lisa why would they not allow her to do the cover if it's gonna promote her? So do not say all the contracts Lisa are handed over to her because she is favored by the company, that is simply not true. In fact, the improvement on the company's treatment on Lisa just happened now because she's earning money for them and because she can no longer be ignored as she is one if not the most famous female K-Pop idol internationally. And lisa first korean even was bvlgari event in korea. Before that yg never let her go. And now yg using lisa as money maker and not treating her as artists unlike other members. Never mind all the laws and political climate preventing other idols from working in certain countries, imo if it could be helped she wouldn't have been pushed into the spotlight. Anyways, racially motivated mistreatment and biases certainly exist and are prevalent in their society but I can't really speak for the industry since I'm not a part of it. As an onlooker, it certainly seems that way though.

It goes more into mismanagement. The fact that she has to bend her kegs more she would have expected when seeing the line up. She is given more edge when it comes to dancing to try and accommodate that fact. In edge she doesn't always have to bend her legs as much which is a good thing for her. And in vocals, I think Tzuyu gets as many lines as she should. Not to say she is a bad vocalist by any means. But the others are better. When she sings she tends to get more memorable parts to compensate for that fact.

She has good amount of lines even though she's a sub-vocal. From all TWICE members I think Jeongyeon is mistreated. She has lesser lines even though she is a lead, also her dresses are sometimes just bad. Maybe it will all change in 'Taste of Love'.

Well its kind of a special case with Shuhua and cube doesn't get a say in what she gets to sing. Cube has given all production rights to the members so they all have a say in what they get to sing. Shuhua isnt confident in her singing so she asks Soyeon to give her lesser lines. Shuhua is much more confident in her dancing so she likes to display that more than she does her singing. But when she gets more confident, I can guarantee you that we will hear Shuhua hitting high notes and getting tons of lines.
Agreed. In Hwaa she was in center for part of the dance break. I think that is more her focus for now. I hope she will take on more lines when she is comfortable and isn't pressured into it earlier by fans.

This channel really try to erase the real issue between YG & Lisa. Baseless? Really?? Ads, photoshoots & brands, the korean members also have them. But YG stopped giving Lisa any solo gigs or promotions in S.Korea since 2018 until now. The only time Lisa can be seen on any korean show is with the group. Lisa didnt get any job or brands that're not product of YG until YG involved in Burning Sun scandal & that company had to pay back investors money. The reason Lisa went on YWY2 in 2020 wasnt because YG cares about her enough to let Lisa have career outside korea since YG wont do anything for her in Korea. It was because that show really want Lisa to join them that they actually had to pay YG alot. Its the same case as Lisa's AIS job, it was the brand that really wanted her & the same thing YG pull at YWY, they put such high price that AIS had to go through difficult negotiations just to get an artist from their own country. YG was the one who made it difficult for job opportunities or exposure to reach Lisa. If it didnt benefit the company enough, that job will not reach Lisa. Even after Lisa had sign the contracts with brands, YG still never stop forcing ridiculous conditions towards her solo jobs. While the korean members have freedom in working with different creative&glam team for their solo jobs, YG made Lisa work with only YG team from start till now. Even when Lisa got her first magazine cover in Thailand, YG made a demand that only YG team will handle the whole photoshoot, even when that magazine already have their own concept & creative team. Dont even get me started on how reckless YG treat Lisa's job in China. I am not agreeing with you on tzuyu case. I believe she is being mistreated. She gets the least screen timing even though she is the visual and does not have any individual activity plus she has to suffer during twice dance's she always has to bend her knees in order to match the other members height's and she is the lead dancer of the group but never gets to be in the spotlight. As we know twice mainly focus on there dance and they have many dance break but tzuyu never gets to have one or be in spotlight she is always in the back or at the edge. She doea not get to be in the centre even during photoshoot because of her height And nowadays she is getting very less lines and still after 5years in industry she is not a brand ambassador of any brand which i believe is all jyp fault. I don't agree that the mistreatment issues in Lisa's case are baseless. When Lisa debuted, she got paid less compared to the Korean members of Blackpink and was the least promoted member especially in South Korea. There were also a lot times when she got the least appealing and weirdest outfits when they attended music shows (thankfully, she was able to pull them off because of her good body proportions).
Now Lisa is famous internationally but it does not mean that she no longer gets mistreated. With regard to promotions and advertisements she's now getting left and right, let me clarify one thing. YG did not get them for Lisa. Lisa earned them all. Those international ambassadorship she got are because brands want her and not because YG gave them to her. Even the magazine covers are all sponsored by the brands and not because YG got them for her. In fact, I think YG is strict when it comes to Lisa accepting magazine covers. Remember in 2019 Bazaar Thailand cover. the magazine had to wait for 5-6 months just for the company to allow Lisa to grace the cover. Think of it this way, if they want to promote Lisa why would they not allow her to do the cover if it's gonna promote her? So do not say all the contracts Lisa are handed over to her because she is favored by the company, that is simply not true.
In fact, the improvement on the company's treatment on Lisa just happened now because she's earning money for them and because she can no longer be ignored as she is one if not the most famous female K-Pop idol internationally. The popularity she has now is because she worked hard for it

Anyways, racially motivated mistreatment and biases certainly exist and are prevalent in their society but I can't really speak for the industry since I'm not a part of it. As an onlooker, it certainly seems that way though.

It goes more into mismanagement. The fact that she has to bend her kegs more she would have expected when seeing the line up. She is given more edge when it comes to dancing to try and accommodate that fact. In edge she doesn't always have to bend her legs as much which is a good thing for her. And in vocals, I think Tzuyu gets as many lines as she should. Not to say she is a bad vocalist by any means. But the others are better. When she sings she tends to get more memorable parts to compensate for that fact.

She has good amount of lines even though she's a sub-vocal. From all TWICE members I think Jeongyeon is mistreated. She has lesser lines even though she is a lead, also her dresses are sometimes just bad. Maybe it will all change in 'Taste of Love'.

Well its kind of a special case with Shuhua and cube doesn't get a say in what she gets to sing. Cube has given all production rights to the members so they all have a say in what they get to sing. Shuhua isnt confident in her singing so she asks Soyeon to give her lesser lines. Shuhua is much more confident in her dancing so she likes to display that more than she does her singing. But when she gets more confident, I can guarantee you that we will hear Shuhua hitting high notes and getting tons of lines.

This channel really try to erase the real issue between YG & Lisa. Baseless? Really?? Ads, photoshoots & brands, the korean members also have them. But YG stopped giving Lisa any solo gigs or promotions in S.Korea since 2018 until now. The only time Lisa can be seen on any korean show is with the group. Lisa didnt get any job or brands that're not product of YG until YG involved in Burning Sun scandal & that company had to pay back investors money. The reason Lisa went on YWY2 in 2020 wasnt because YG cares about her enough to let Lisa have career outside korea since YG wont do anything for her in Korea. It was because that show really want Lisa to join them that they actually had to pay YG alot. Its the same case as Lisa's AIS job, it was the brand that really wanted her & the same thing YG pull at YWY, they put such high price that AIS had to go through difficult negotiations just to get an artist from their own country. YG was the one who made it difficult for job opportunities or exposure to reach Lisa. If it didnt benefit the company enough, that job will not reach Lisa. Even after Lisa had sign the contracts with brands, YG still never stop forcing ridiculous conditions towards her solo jobs. While the korean members have freedom in working with different creative&glam team for their solo jobs, YG made Lisa work with only YG team from start till now. Even when Lisa got her first magazine cover in Thailand, YG made a demand that only YG team will handle the whole photoshoot, even when that magazine already have their own concept & creative team. Dont even get me started on how reckless YG treat Lisa's job in China. Lisa had to face cnetz criticism all because of YG mistake & how that company didnt even bother to protect Lisa from bearing the brunt of YG mishandling. YG is also biased in the way that company treat the reputation of korean members compared to Lisa. Lisa fans had to contact authorities, collect evidences themselves & even getting legal advice on their own. I am not agreeing with you on tzuyu case. I believe she is being mistreated. She gets the least screen timing even though she is the visual and does not have any individual activity plus she has to suffer during twice dance's she always has to bend her knees in order to match the other members height's and she is the lead dancer of the group but never gets to be in the spotlight.

It’s very much true only reason Lisa a Tuyzu are treat great to some sort of Degree is because is because they’re the most popular members of their group, which means their company is making a lot of money out of this these girls from all the endorsements they allow them to take up. All the money the money the girls make their company is taking a percentage from them. So all the modelling and ambassador roles YG is letting Lisa take, YG is taking let’s say 10% of every paycheque. That’s why YG is letting these girls take every job sent their way, instead of them being idols. Instead of the girls doing that job and having more than one comeback a year. YG is choosing easy money.
(And then fans think their favs are better than others cause of brand deals lol. When reality someone people WANT to be artist/idols cause it’s something they’re passionate about making music and not quick money)

Kpop idols promote in Japan too, but I don't think they fully speak Japanese in interviews. They're still getting money from Japanese buyers so according to Korean's logic, Kpop idols also need to learn Japanese too before they can promote there as well..
