- ZERO/SPORTS has set up Electric Vehicle R&D Department in 1998 with a vision for the future of automotive industry. In December of 2000, ZERO/SPORTS electric formula car achieved the second fastest record of 276.6km/h (the national record in Japan), only after GM's record of 293km/h.
In September 2003, ZERO/SPORTS released Elexceed RS, one-seater electric vehicle, and became the 17th largest auto maker in Japan, recognized by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. In 2004, ZERO/SPORTS donated Series type hybrid vehicle for Aichi Expo. In June 2005, Elexceed RS with high performance Lithium ion was released, as ZERO/SPORTS continues to seek for creative customizing solutions while coexisting with the nature.
EDO Performance is the sole distributor for ZERO/SPORTS in North America.

I agree with AmericanAnarchy on this one.Looks are a concept evolved by advertising agencies and sad people with a very narrow vision of real life. If it saves on emissions and provides cheap motoring who gives a stuff what it looks like.Looks and fashions fade......being efficient and usefull are much more wothwhile lasting attributes !

They just swap the battery for a fresh one. Tesla, Nissan and Renault all use the same removable pack.

How about electric SUV's? At least the city slickers who drive them will stop filling our lungs with their fumes. Electric trucks & busses maybe? If they did, batteries would improve every year, with each manufacturer trying to out-do the next. & Solar power the lot!

Yeah thats why this country is no longer the powerhouse it once was. Do you not realize the gas, and diesel will dissappear/ In less than a 100 years we have used over 50% of the worlds oil, so unless we curb our use we will run out within another 50 years. If an the technology is better why not move on thats why other countries are so far advanced from us. Japan is technologicaly on another planet from us its just a joke how far behind we are. Electric cars doing 0-60 in 3.7 shit on your V8
How sad, pathetic and UnAmerican. USA prospers on our technical excellence. Once we commit ourselves to leading electric vehicles, they will become as commonplace as 3 ton pig SUV's, and a lot more fun and useful.
