    Круто-круто! Только как получить после всех модификаций Эскиз(чертёж плоскости XY) всей детали? Чтобы изменять деталь на уровне эскиза....

      Спасибо за комментарий! Чтобы получить эскиз плоскости XY всей детали для редактирования, создайте новый эскиз на нужной плоскости в Part Design Workbench. Вы можете использовать функцию создания эскиза на плоскости, которая вас интересует.

      @@Learn-Engineering Да, можно создать эскиз прямо на выбранной стороне(грани модели). Но как автоматически получить начерченный внешний периметр STL модели, на плоскости где лежит модель? Спасибо!

      To extract the outer perimeter of an STL model in FreeCAD, first import the STL file and convert it to a shape using the `Part` workbench. Then, create a new sketch on the desired plane where you want the perimeter. Switch to the `Draft` workbench to upgrade the shape to edges, and finally use `Draft` > `Draft to Sketch` to convert those edges into a sketch. This will give you the perimeter of the STL model on the selected plane. If you have any difficulties or need further clarification, please provide more details about the specific issues you're encountering.

    Hi,
    When I go to convert shape to solid I get an error message saying: Cannot convert CE3_Large_Front_Bracket_MWO001 because Shape is not a shell. Is there a work around?

    • @Learn-Engineering
      @Learn-Engineering  20 дней назад +1

      The error indicates that the shape is not a closed shell. To resolve this, ensure the shape is a watertight shell. If issues persist, consider recreating the shape as a closed shell. If you need further help, please provide more details.

    When I try to refine the solid I am met with the error "recompute failed". How can I work around this?

      The "recompute failed" error when converting an STL to a solid in FreeCAD typically means the STL file isn't suitable for direct conversion. This can happen due to:
      Small Features: Tiny details in the model can cause issues.
      Non-Manifold Edges: Edges shared by more than two faces.
      Poor Mesh Quality: Defects like holes or overlapping faces.
      To work around this:
      Inspect and Repair: Use mesh inspection and repair tools in FreeCAD or MeshLab.
      Simplify the Mesh: Reduce complexity by simplifying the mesh.
      Manual Cleanup: Edit the mesh to remove problematic areas.
      Improving the mesh quality and removing small features can help successfully convert your STL to a solid.
