@@wolfwoodstyleblue3946 Its basically just Yubel support. Not a whole lot of other rank 10 decks out there aside from maybe Earth Machine? I'd rather we just move Phatom to 1 to gimp the deck's late game capabilities, but that's just me. It actually takes a bit of set-up to loop it back into the extra deck, so putting it at 1 would be fine since it keeps the Yubel deck from bricking your hands.
The main priority rn is banning Apo, banning Flamberge (since Snake-Eye is getting new support) and banning either the link 2 Goddess or the link 1 Fiendsmith, along with eventually banning Beatrice once Fiendsmith has had some time to see play.

Idk if I've said it before on the channel but I wish they'd print a thunder dragon fusion that had the same summoning condition and a different effect. The game is probably better with Colossus banned overall but I'm just predicting that they will be putting it to 3 because the card hasn't really made an impact on the tcg and it's already at 3 in the ocg. Personally I do not like cards like Colossus and Winda but they are undeniably more manageable than the heinous lingering floodgates currently legal in the game.

Apallousa needs banned because its exactly decks like Snake-Eye that make it not ok and just because other decks can't make a 3-4 material Apallousa and make 2 or more other interruptions doesn't mean it should exist. If Caesar, Beatrice, and Apallousa get banned all of a sudden Snake-Eyes and future combo decks are way less overtuned and then cards like The Fiendsmith is ok at 3. Konami is being more careful with card design it just if we don't let the growing pains happen nothing will change and for what its worth 1 card combos are healthy when they aren't taken as far as Snake-Eyes. Just look at Branded without Sanctifire and Swordsoul. There isn't anything so unfair with their 1 card combos that they have to be banned. People might argue Dragoon but 1 Ash Blossom stops that from happening so what would be the problem with Branded Fusion. Its just doing what people expect fusion decks to do for fusion summoning to be good. Which is that for them to be good they normally have to be made with just the spell and cards from deck, banished, or grave. Using cards from hand or field normally isn't that good anymore and back when it was Polymerization and 2 monsters from hand fusion summoning used to be a meme. A useless mechanic to laugh at. Which only proves my point. Konami took a summoning mechanic that never used to be good and made it great.

Back in the day FTK/OTK decks were banned because they're unbalanced, boring to play against and it's unfair to not have a turn. The more consistent, the quicker it was banned, with several emergency banlists coming out.
Nowadays every single strategy is focused on OTK/FTK.
Konami dropped the ball by listening to meta players and trying to make "explosive" combo-focused decks.
Oh, and the TCG isn't the problem. OCG is just as unfun to play. The problem is that sitting for 20 minutes waiting for the opponent to finish his board and doing nothing besides discarding Blossom once; then going into your turn and having all your actions negated/destroyed (and triggering more of the opponent's combos) is inherently boring.

      2. The entire Tele-DAD deck was cheaper than a single S:P Little Knight or Bonfire at their peak. There is a clear conflict of interests here with Konami making a lot of money out of staples.
      3. Tele-DAD resulted in a sweeping banlist that made the deck pretty much useless. Meanwhile Tearlaments are still topping on Locals, it still has players on Nationals and everyone expects Snake-Eyes and Fire King to get a slap on the wrist as Fiendsmith, the next Tier 0, comes out.

      "Shifter is fair"
Do I even need to say anything? Like are you trolling? A card stealing wins by itself is never fair. I'll give you that now is probably the worst time ever to ban it because it's basically the only hand trap that can do anything to fiendsmith by itself but calling shifter fair because exactly right now the decks playing it aren't good enough is a 20 iq take. Don't forget exosister, floo, spright, and runick consistently staying competitive because of a card with hardly any counterplay that creates non-games. Anyone defending Shifter is advocating for shit card design to compete with other shit card design. How about we just fix the game instead?
"Yubel can do their combos without Yama"
But the deck becomes a whole lot worse. If Yama wasn't a ridiculously strong card, Yubel players wouldn't bother playing it and 2 cards they don't really want to open in their deck, but literally every single list does because it adds a ton of resilience to your combo and end board. I'm assuming they aren't going to hit it but it's more likely they hit that than they hit an actual Yubel card because that's how Konami works.
"Wanting princess Banned just show you really dont pay attention to where the problem is in the combos"
Oh Princess isn't a problem? The monster that requires 2+ effect monsters. Any effect monsters so you can make it with any charmer. The monster that non targeting reborns any fire. The monster used to kill your opponent with Zealantis because for some reason it isn't banished when it leaves the field after being reborned. The card that gives you interruption through basically every board breaker and infinite followup. Yeah it's only like the most pushed link monster ever. It is THE problem card.
      "Pend Hate waah"
Pend doing nothing makes no difference to me. People love - absolute ADORE shitting on break-my-board infinite negate combo decks and yet 2 seconds later they say bring back electrumite. Every pendulum deck right now might take a different path to get there but always ends up being a cancer end board of I:P, Appo, Vortex dragon. Maybe they spice it up with a secret village, a hope harbinger, a mighty master. It's just negates and floodgates dude. Why do you want more decks like that in the game?
"Tcgplayers don't think. They aren't as smart as me, I'm so smart. Shifter is fair."
Have you actually considered what the game would be like with my made up, fake banlist? All this list is doing is making the game healthier by lowering the ceiling and resilience of the top decks, and lowering the chance of non-games by removing floodgates that should have been banned years ago. This list drops, it is a net positive for player agency.

Dont forget that playing that unchained trap is legit a brick they could just replace it with some other handtrap and would still be good
So yeah it will slightly slow them but wont hurt them
      Pend
      You literally said it
Without electrumite and they still end on ip vortex harbinger apollo

"Fenrir solos entire boards" - literally, you just.... Veiler, Imperm, Apollousa, any other bullshit removal negate when you summon it... and it's over. I cannot do anything. it's a 2400 body? Almost all decks make stronger boss monsters than this.
Remember - this statement implies that you break a board - so no "but going first it's a searcher and free summon" bollocks.
"Macro Cosmos will be a problem" - People forget that most decks need to send to the grave for cost, for many interactions - including defensive cards they might run like Forbidden Droplet or Droll. Macro will be a problem... in what... Floo? An unsearchable trap that you need to hard draw and is only good going first that might screw up your plays too if you are not careful. Yes.... Very problematic... Oh. And most people run at least 1 Nightmare Phoenix in their side deck just in case they play against stun so 99% of decks can out it with very little difficulty. Some decks even have targeted removal/pop on top of all these factors. Macro is simply a "win more" card.
I will say that Shifter and D Barrier are wayy better since the effect actually lingers and you cannot remove it in any way. So, the same as the puppet lock.
Magnamut is insane? Against some match ups sure is... but every deck has something like that. Magnamut does nothing against the meta at the moment - oh no, my bad, it hits Yubel and Branded. But Snake eyes? Tenpai? It cannot touch these decks.
Ban Yama? Same as Fenrir. You Veiler and it's over. It's good, but it does not win you the game.
I agree with the majority of the other takes and yes, all those "you don't get to play" strats should be stopped.

    • @ratkingdomygo
      @ratkingdomygo  16 дней назад +1

Fenrir - Obviously it doesn't always solo boards by itself, but it has. That's a thing the card is capable of doing which is kinda just bullshit on a pank that is just strictly better because of the free summon that searches itself bollocks. That part does matter - like a lot. It isn't just a board breaker that usually outs 2 of your opponent's cards (I:P/Veiler/Appo). The fact that it replaces itself, the fact that it's a free body, the fact that it's an interruption going 1st - it all contributes to the card being too generically good.
Macro Cosmos - I promise you this card will see side deck play eventually in random shit because that's what people do. Yes it's win more - so is anti-spell. That's the idea. You lock in your free win by flipping up the floodgate you sided in game 2 so your opponent can no longer play yugioh. I'm sure there's a few other floodgates people would flock to before macro cosmos, but it is inevitable that this card will be a problem again someday. It's not like snake-eye really wants to have a skill drain face up on their field. They can't do much of anything under it on the opponent's turn. It's just there to lock in their free win. Also no one has ever side decked knightmare phoenix.
Magnamhut - I doubt that this card will ever be banned but it's an undeniably ridiculous card that doesn't need to exist. Druiswurm is already insanely good but I find it to be way more fair than a card that searches any of one of the most populous types in the game. Most tenpai lists are maining this because why wouldn't you? Search out chundra or paidra or a 2nd bystial if you need while banishing shit like I:P from snake-eyes grave, Lo, or puppet/branded in red target. I might be biased against this card because my opponent's literally ALWAYS have this bystial and none of the other ones and it proves itself to be bullshit every time. It turns out a 2500 body to out your I:P/S:P while being dd crow and searching either another 2500 body that outs 1-2 cards or any starter/extender in your deck is kinda good. Also if you've ever had the pleasure of playing against someone regained looping magnamhut - it's not fun.
Yama - Heavily pushed, overly generic card that literally makes fiend decks meta by itself. Your veiler is probably better used on samsara or beckoning beast.

"Fenrir can be killed by Veiler, Imperm" oh, you mean two unsearchable cards? You're relying on pure luck at that point AND you're forced to run a deck that can use 6+ handtraps.
This is the problem with modern decks. They have 100 % consistency and the only way to break them is luck. Not even that because they're designed to go through several handtraps anyway. Since you need several handtraps just to get a chance to plag at all, you need a deck that can run 12+ handtraps and still be consistent, so everyone is forced to play Snake-Eyes and similar which is both expensive and boring to play.
