- Iowa Pacific Holdings High Iron Travel Special, St Louis-Quincy, MO traveling on former Burlington, Frisco lines that have not seen a regular scheduled passenger train in many, many years. I first got it in Merriam Kansas on BNSF's Ft. Scott Sub then chased it down to BN-Xing. The next morning on it's departure from KC I went down to Old Union Depot Interlocking where I got my last shot of it as it headed for Quincy, MO. Enjoy!
That's awesome, pretty similar to the train they ran on Pan Am a few years ago. I like the end, "ho-hooo!"
lionel0824 Thanks for watching Trevor! Yeah I'm guessing he knew some people on it.
Nice video, interesting seeing a genesis lead such a diverse group of old passenger cars.
bradstrains Thanks for watching Brad!
Wow, thats a nice video! Is that a safe area to film?
Jaw Tooth Thank you! I've never had a problem filming down there, but I don't usually stand where I was. There is a park behind from where I was standing I usually go to.
Very nice Mason! You mind if I link this video to mine when I get it posted? We got it coming out of Avondale this morning, then chased it out to Richmond.
***** Thank you Jason! Sure go ahead.
Awesome catch! Btw I should be at KC by next week (likely the 8th or 9th) and I'm most likely gonna stay there for about a week. Most of the times I'm gonna be hanging around at CP Bravo along the BNSF Ft Scott Sub since my aunt lives close to there, while a few times I'll railfan at the Union Station and maybe some other places if I get a chance. If possible, are you gonna be available to railfan around those times?
***** Thanks! I'll have to see whats going on then. I can't go out during the evenings since I work then, but during the day I might be able to get out if I'm not busy then. Weekends I'm pretty free.
So it went on the Madill sub? Nice video!
DFWTrains Thanks!
mrnewshoes Np. But did it go on the Madill sub?
DFWTrains It took BNSF's Brookfeild sub to Quincy, MO the next day. I'm not sure what it took out of St. Louis.
mrnewshoes Ok. Thanks. I'm near the Madill sub a lot and it would have been cool if I could have seen it.
