- In this video I should’ve stepped in procedures necessary to Remove and replace the stock headlight assemblies from a Chevy Silverado and a GMC Sierra. It’s important to know that this particular vehicle is a 2014 Chevy Silverado LT with halogen bulbs. The same headlights come on 2014 and 2015 Chevy Silverado models. If you have a 2016 through 2018 these teachers will be the exact same but the headlights look different. Same with a GMC sierra. Headlights are different but the mounting locations for the bolts are the same. I choose Winjet For the aftermarket replacement because they have good qualities and great news. Make sure to check the links below your correct headlight replacement. Thanks for watching, if you have questions or comments feel free to leave something in the comment section thank you

Awesome video! My front side markers on my driver side went out and this helped me to do this job quickly, and efficiently. Like others said this is the best video that deals with this model headlights.
Very helpful Video. Replacing the headlight on my 2014 Chevy Silverado went very well because of this video.
Terrific video took the guesswork completely out of it you did a great job presenting from A to Z... thank you 👍
Probably the most straightforward and most understandable video I've ever seen! Thank you so much!
Straight forward 🙌🏻 I’m subscribing thank you for the help! Happy Holidays
This truck looks amazing after that headlight install, awesome video. thank you for your help !
Wow manufacturers really made it hard to change a lightbulb. Thanks GM and other manufacturers for doing this on purpose.
Jeez this is just too much! I'm going to strap a freaking flashlight to the front of my truck and call it a day👍
Very helpful. If I may share, I used 2inch fender washers to hold open up the lower trim clips (trim above the bumper). Then only had to fight the corner clips.
This is probably the most informative video I’ve seen about removing these headlights! Thanks a lot great video
Thanks for the kind words!!
Me 2 a whole year later
Thank you, I’m replacing mine tomorrow hope everything goes ok 🤞🏽
Extremely informative with simplicity thanks so much
You really did a fantastic job. I really would have liked to have seen a closer look at the red wires connection. Thanks for the video.
Excellent video for installing headlamps
Thank you for the vid. Super easy to follow and informative. 👌
Thank you for the details, very helpful 👌
Great video very helpful, thank you.
Very helpful video and very understanding
Great video, have used this more than once!!!
great video. thanks for the info!
Great vid. Helped a lot thx
Thanks for this video it really helped 😊
Thanks for the video, worked great but the clamps are the color of the truck. Thanks again!
just bought and installed the ones you have in the description, man they are awesome, make the truck look 100 percent better!
Same here. They look legit. Hopefully they last and don't fill up with condensation, ill be pissed, obviously.
Robert Witt So, have they held up pretty good?
@@ImGoingSupersonic Same I am curious how these have held up so far.
Are they brighter?
Great video man. Thank you
Cool looking
Very helpful my bulbs keep burning out in aftermarket headlights do I just need a new set of headlights?
Very good info. Appreciate it. However, I think your last step should also show how to adjust your headlights to make sure they are not point down or up. :)
great job well done thank you so much very helpful video
Great job.
Great video
Perfect Thank You
Hello. Great camera shots and audio. Im wondering if these aftermarket headlights will work to replace on my 2015 HIgh Country projector headlights. The wire for the daylight running lights can be identified with a multimeter? Just in case it is not the same color on my 2015 model. Thanks for the video!!!!!
I would have likes to see a closer view of the wiring.
Very nice.
Very helpful video. Was that a farm truck filthy truck surprised they upgraded anything!!
Nice video👍🏼
thank you!!
I have the LTZ with factory HID's. Will this light set work with the HID's?
Jam quarters into the lower trip piece to get it off easy
What are the colors on the conector coming from the truck? I need to connect a pigtail on it but idk the colors.
Very nice video. I watched in a hurry. I need to watch it again. However, I have a question, do the fluorescent lights stay on all the time when the car is on? Thank you,
I’m having a hard time on my 2015 chevy 1500 the headlights leaking where can I find some that don’t leak?
I got the same headlights but for some reason my led bulbs turn on then turn off any suggestions what it could be
Thank youuu
Do the drl lights come alone or headlights run with them . I installed lights on my 2014 and couldn't get them to come on without headlights on
Great!
Nice
Hey I have a 2014 that clearly is the same 1as yours. Hen pulling up the link 1you shared, it says not compatible with 2014
I dont what is wrong, if it Amazon's miss print or what?
I have a 2014 LT 5.3 4X4 link to one used in video says it won’t fit…. Will it?
Very good video, I wish they were all this good,
However, my lights have 2 extra wires, how do I connect them?
Nice 👌🔥
Thanks 🔥
What part number are the headlights and where did you get them at?
I need 2018 video of the Chevy Silverado I dont have that strip on the top of the bumper
Edit I had to remove the bumper
2 years later how are these headlights holding up?
It has been 2 yrs since you had these lights did u experience any moisturizer in lights or anything else that would cause you not to recommend them to anyone like to know so I can go-ahead and get mine ordered
How do you replace the bulb and what size is it ?
Are these lights still available?
Hey Aaron, how are these headlights holding up?
Are the headlight bulbs led too?
How long did the whole thing take to replace? Don’t want to get myself into a all day project
ive been looking for aftermarket headlights and i don't know why companies haven't figured out to water seal them
Installing these headlights, did your radio stations get all distorted, static?
I did this but my turn signals are not working any ideas
Is there a simple way to adjust the headlight bulb up and down? I have the same headlights but they seem to point a little too down.
Yes. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver of my memory is correct. Drivers side is easy. Passenger side requires removal of the stock air intake system
Will those fit a 14 gmc though?really?
Are they sequential?
Hows that the drl strip is on but the low beam is not? Where did u tap the red wire? To the parking light? I asked because the original drl is the low beam so your new drl should be the low beam still plus the new drl strip.
you can tie that wire into what ever you want. i used to drl. so they are on with any situation.
My truck is a CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 LT the new modal
Search for that exact headlights an says its not compatible... is it for the wiring you did for the daylight or something else ?
Same here. I actually went ahead and bought them anyways.. Took old lights out installed new ones on the passenger side he said it was a Gray wire with a purple stripe. But on mine it was a green wire with a purple stripe. However the driver side was a Single purple wire stated.. I hooked everything up and it didn't work properly. I think it's a wiring issue.
After reading the reviews for these lights on Amazon I'm not sure i wanna buy them. Any ideas on what would cause them to have condensation inside the lens and issues with adjustment ?
Well i just got a set installed. I guess im just gonna risk because they look awesome. Id suggest being gentle on them when using a pressure washer at the car wash. So far mine are fine
Same here did you find a good pair?
When buying headlights, try applying some good sealant that would be heat resistant to the outer seal of the headlights. Sometimes the factory may now apply the seals on correctly. I had some 03 model lights I bought for my older truck and I checked them. I applied a little sealant. Never had a problem with moisture getting in and trapped.
Check the vents. Sometimes they’re covered from manufacturer. Just peel off the plastic cover. Kinda like opening a new orange juice box take the cap off and remove the white plastic piece.
@@ImGoingSupersonicstill good?
Looking to buy a new set exactly like these after 2 years of using considering they were purchased from Amazon what do you think ? Was it worth it?
Yes absolutely. They haven’t skipped a beat and still look new
What's brand name of these aftermarket headlights?
Can you buy replacement plastic rivots? Some of mine are broken.
amazon has a kit
Do the daytime running lights come on when you are driving or all the lights come on together?
All the lights come on. The description said you have a DRL which means DRLs comes on when driving. Not these lights. DRLs come on with all the lights, 'bummer" Not what I wanted.
So what is the red wire attaching to? Just parking light connection?
UPDATE:
a Year later and no reply!
Do these headlights work good? Do they lights up the roadway as good as your stocks did?
So after watching this and doing it I can confirm taking the battery out is a bigger pain in the ass lmao.
Correct you are!!
I don’t know why they had to make battery replacement so difficult on these trucks.
How. Can I order the headlight
Not seeing the links in description. What kind of headlights are these? Winjet?
Yes they are winjet! Links are there. You have to open the description to view it on most browsers.
Good vid. If i brought it in somewhere, whats a price they would charge me? I just ordered a set online
Did you ever get a quote ?
@@Nelson-0711 yea he said, "about $100". Ive been to him before but i thought damn, only $100, you gota take like the whole front end off and wire the daytime lights. Ill be there!.
He called me when it was done and said it was gonna be $200. Im like cmooon Bob, you said about $100, not double that. He said, oh i did, ok but it took us like 4 hours, bunch of bullshit. Im like well thanks for honoring the price, ill toss ya $120 in cash, that way uncle same can go fuck himself.
How much would you charge for that job?
Can I use old headlights on new? I like the old basic look
Damn that's a lot of work
Cory Crouch ... These headlights are available on Amazon.... follow the link above
good jop
Thank you!
Sorry, I'm a girl who tries to do what she can by herself, but why in the hell does it take so many tools to change a freaking lightbulb????
Thank you though, this was a great video. If I can borrow some tools and do this myself, this is the video I'll follow, and I'll let you know how it went.
You’re not changing a light bulb. You’re changing the entire headlight housing. I still agree with your comment, though. Changing headlamps on older vehicles was much easier.
any update on how lights are holding up?
still working like new. lenses also still clear.
@@AaronHinesAuto another question, when in drive, for the daytime running lights, the top and bottom are lighted up, but does the low beam headlight still come on during the day when lights are on auto mode?
25nathan25nathan25 I have the same question
@@AaronHinesAuto are the led parts the low beams or how does that work
Did you have to do any leveling? I out a new set on my 2014 not these exact ones you used but they are facing more down then before. Any thoughts?
Yes. This truck has Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks on the 2nd position and 1.5” level spacers
@@AaronHinesAuto on the headlights when you cut the wire and made it your drl did that stop the low beam as being the daytime running light? Very interested in that
@@jakeorfan5202 not sure if you're interested but I took the spring out of the headlight switch to prevent the headlights from automatically coming on.....which also solved the low beam drl function
Jake Orfan I have the same question. Looking to upgrade my headlights, but I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on headlights that will automatically use my low beam for DRL just like my stock ones do.
Actually I just bought a set of OEM headlights for my 2015 silverado for $160 off Amazon
Where did you get the headlights from ?
Right here
amzn.to/2GAv4lt
Aaron Hines thanks man
Eric E The DRLs are NOT flouresent... They are LEDs
Looks harder than what it is actually. I hope that’s the case 😂
nothin like chevy ingenuity it takes a shop full of power tools to replace a fuckin headlamp
You cut the wire and attached the new wire. But, you didn't hook up the wire back to the wire on the plug. I'm guessing you don't need it.
I think that that is power for the DTRL. Factory puts it to the low beam, but I think he just wants it on led strips and no headlight. I have been looking for this mod for a while now and finally found it!!
So when cutting wire for dtrl to be led strips, the low beam bulb will no longer operate as dtrl just led strips? Auto headlights still work correctly?
@@beaminthakid that was my question from watching this video too. about to do my swap shortly. did you confirm that auto headlights still work normally?
Anthony Gaddy I don’t know. I sold the truck before finding out. Good luck! I got me a Toyota now!
@@anthonygaddy2115 So can you confirm that cutting that wire auto will still work?
Good Grief GM needs a butt whooping
Bs literally way harder then this
who in hell put this on a car or truck
and u have to basically disassemble the entire front end christ
I was thinking the same thing. 😂
Newer cars are a PITA. Have to take apart half the truck to get the headlight assembly out 🙄
All that work to replace the headlights is a joke, piss poor engineering on GM’s part
Nice
