Well with the benefit of an easier offside rule in the current era and better protection by referees and tackling rule changes that the current era player has.It is very reasonable to assume Pele would have been more effective a player given that football in the current era isn't as rough regarding tackling and it's easier to stay on side given the offside rule is just level with last defender in the current era.

The 4th goal in the final.Pele knows Alberto is running in on his right as they practised it in training. He does not even look - he just rolls the ball into Albertos path.No fancy stuff. Greatest of all time - numero uno.

4:07 Pele is the only player I have ever seen kick the ball against an opponent's shin and get it back. The way we used to kick it against a wall as kids. There is a video of 1962 WC I think where he did it against the same defender twice in a row then he nutmegged him. That defender died on the spot. LOL.

If you watch the full video of the game, right after it ends, you will see an Italian player running after Pelé, to get his jersey.
I never saw anything like it in any world cup finals...
Pele is the GOAT ! No one else gets even near to him.
The 4th goal in the final.Pele knows Alberto is running in on his right as they practised it in training. He does not even look - he just rolls the ball into Albertos path.No fancy stuff. Greatest of all time - numero uno.
The dream team of football. 11 geniouses
I Love you Pelé! Magic !
A FOOTBALL GENIUS AND A GENTLEMEN !!!
Had he scored at 4:50 It could rightly be considered the best goal ever scored. Ever.
Pele is the true icon of the football ever in the history of iti
Am sure many people would have become teary eyed by the end. What an exceptional player 👏
He played in 4 World Cups and won 3 of them... Will anybody ever equal his achievements? I don't believe so... ⚽️ THE KING!
He won 2, and was injured in the other 2. Still incredible achievement. None of the modern Players ever achieved it.
@@MAYBE673 three, and was injured in one
Garrincha won it for Brazil in 62 not Pele
Pele is the real GOAT.
@@MAYBE673 he won 3 the only player
Pele's surely the greatest footballer ever. And Maradona's the most excellence & skillful player. That will be fair for both.
The greatest player I have ever seen...no one compares..he was a one off...he had everything .. great bloke !!! Herb Chelsea 🙏🏼🙏🏼
will always be true GOAT
That dummy against Uruguay was the best piece of invention I world cup history.
Ladies and gentlemen, your majesty the KING then, now and forever 'till the end of times P E L E the only one
No drugs, no steroids for growing but yes He played with guts and love for his country and sport.
Great! Pele is the King of football, maybe no one else can surpass him in a few centuries. Brazil is always an origin country of football legends

Some people just can`t understand who he was, and what he represents. The man is part of man kind history,an icon. If you go to Barsa Encyclopedia,he will be there. He made Time magazine cover together with,Gandhi,Mandela,Ali,Madre Teresa, people will be talking about him centuries to come. As the others in 20 years at the most will be forgotten Pelé,an example of evolution Darwin would love to be alive to see him
THE BEST...KING
Yes, Darwin would love it, really!

He was no product of blind chance evolution my friend, Pelé was a product of utter intelligence (God the creator)

..a player without a weakness......cant be said of anybody else
Magic moments, incredible !!
4:07-4:15.... NOBODY can't make this skill in planet !! Absolutly amazing !! PELÉ named this skill 'play with opponent' ('tabelar com o adversário'). Pure genius ! For many reasons, THE KING of FOOTBALL...
Lol Messi literally does that every single game 😂
@@McFlashh and Pele did that 20 years before messis birth…yeah thats pele for u
@@McFlashhYou are a moron fanboy.🤣😂
Tbh there was a Swedish player, little older than Pelé, who used the same trick.
His name was Kurt Hamrin, and he played many years in Serie A in Italy in 50-60s.
I heard Nils Liedholm, another great Swedish player from that era, tell this story on TV
Pele, the greatest all-time all-round footballer, in the greatest ever team Brazil 1970! 🤗
Thank you. I love Zidane. Top 5 imo
Essa seleção do Brasil de 1970, me faz lembrar a magia, a explosão do melhor time de Basquete jogadores de Basquete bola dos Estados Unidos, verdadeiro dream time.👍
So nice to understand, it's not really this retro mode, quality that, it was the same we see with our eyes now. ⚽
Simplesmente completo; força, inteligência, velocidade, habilidade, raciocínio rápido....nascido para jogar futebol ! Nunca veremos outro, nem parecido..
No smooth field, no help of Referee, no cards, no Penalty. Srill this man was unreal. Dribbling, passing, free-kick, header what ealse left? He is the most complete player of all time. The king Pele ♚ ♔ ♚
Happy birthday king of the football I'm thankful for you thanks God you are a Brazilian like me a Brazilian pround 🇧🇷🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Great video. I have made some GIFS from this & they will be on twitter & FB in a few hours as there was only one or two of this genius of a player. One of the greatest (if not THE) greatest of all time. The Netflix doc was superb too, it was good to see him with his old team-mates & show he was not arrogant etc, just one of the lads.
The magical. The majestic king pele !!
Simply the King - by all standards of football skills.
4:07 Pele is the only player I have ever seen kick the ball against an opponent's shin and get it back. The way we used to kick it against a wall as kids. There is a video of 1962 WC I think where he did it against the same defender twice in a row then he nutmegged him. That defender died on the spot. LOL.
It was one of his most used tricks.
The King ! I have no doubt: Pelé was the best player that I've ever seen
King of Kings. The best. Legend.
Altruista, rispettava l'avversario. Giocava in modo spettacolare.
