Wow..being for more than 20 years out of a Christian church, this video resonated so much to me as I went today to my first visit in a LDS Church.
I do feel so blessed by this interpretation of these chapters of Jeremiah.
    Many many thanks

Thank you for the beautiful presentation Bretheren. Wow! Another amazing Prophet to get to know. I have learnt more about the OT Prophets with CFM than I have in my own studies. So many comforting words and warm fuzzies were in this presentation. I am so grateful the presenters are in tune with the spirit and teach with the spirit. The insights really are healings for the soul and comforts in trials. I have a newfound appreciation and love for the OT Prophets thanks to the wonderful teachers and everyone at BOM Central ❤

Thank you for a marvelous instruction and detailed to help understand the scriptures better. When you guys were talking about stopping procrastination a quote from the music man came to mind. He states" you pile up enough tomorrows, and you will find you are left with nothing but a lot of Yesterdays. I don't know about you, I'd like to make today worth remembering"

Thank you. My favorite truth, as a mental health helper: we need to let God work in our lives instead of rejecting the everlasting waters and creating our own holes in life, hoping others will fill it. They will. And it will be junk and it will be really painful. Amen.

This is greatly wonderful teaching the understanding of Isaiah and expanding its knowledge and perspectives. I always struggled with explaining repentance to friends, and families and probably have made it sound to them like a hard task, I like that you simply put it " the Lord said to turn back " this sounds simpler than making a person feel much guiltier than he/she already have felt guilty which can tend to discourage. I like that you are linking it to the Book of Mormon teachings. Love it!

We have a son serving in Ghana right now. In our visits yesterday he was asking us for ideas on how to teach the people there the difference between false prophets and a true, living prophet. This discussion was spot on. I’m just wondering if there are more bible scriptures that help in teaching this?

I have to share this with you after the comments about the prophets being called. This is straight out of In The Hands of The Lord: The Life of Dallin H. Oaks (Page 119):
In 1971 Dallin was settling well into his new role, but he had the feeling he was being prepared for something even more important. The previous year, he began having premonitions that he would replace Ernest L. Wilkinson as president of Brigham Young University. At first, "I speculated that this was the position for which I was being prepared," he wrote. "Then I would berate myself for such imaginings, accusing myself of being arrogant and puffed up, and of putting my worth much higher than it was. But my mind would return to it again and again, not by way of envy or ambition but by way of premonition."

    Hi Taylor, Tyler, and Shon
I am posting laye so may post my same question on a later video as I understand late questions are easier overlooked. I wish further knowledge on the prophetess Hildah. Any scholars or additional books to shed further light and knowledge on her? Thanks for mentioning her Shon.
Also in all the prophets that were mentioned is there a "Sr." Prophet or some kind of hierarchy?
I love your videos they inspire me to be better, to do better than I am doing.

As you were speaking of shuv and turning towards G-d I was reminded of Deuteronomy 30. Shuv appears 7 times in the Hebrew but is rendered as 4 different English words. We lose the importance the writer was attempting to convey with something repeated seven times.

Great lesson! I have a question: I have always understood that the books of Jeremiah were somehow all out of order and should not be read chronologically. Is that correct? If so, is there a resource that shows what order they should be put in? Thanks.

LOL Note Shon, you said two of a city and one of a family, which seems intuitive vs “I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion” (Jer. 3:14). Why do you suppose it is written as it is?😊 Love you guys!

I am struck by the 1st conditional prophecies of possible destruction that are followed by 2nd imminent prophecies of destruction. Also that the Lord sends multiple prophets as the wickedness of the people grows and the likelihood of destruction increases. President Nelson has warned, "In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost." A prophetic, imminent warning.

Could the rod of an almond tree in Jeremiah 1:11-12 be a reminder to Jeremiah of the rod of Aaron in Numbers 17:1-10? Aaron’s rod - alone among all the other rods - overnight had budded, brought forth blossoms and yielded almonds. This was evidence to the children of Israel of Aaron’s authority, priesthood and calling from God.
