Eh, to be honest, it's people in general. I've noticed a huge downturn on civil discussion ever since the pandemic. Pretty sure we can all agree there's correlation between having people shacked up for months and a decline in mental stability.
People online as a collective need to take a chill pill, I don't think there's a single person who uses social media or discord on the regular that has never been told to kill themself.
bro i was like 11 in a blops 2 lobby the first time i got told to off myself for making a cringey joke AND THAT WAS SEVEN YEARS AGO IMAGINE WHAT THE NEW AGE OF LITTLE GREMLINS PLAYING GAMES HAS TO DEAL WITH AND HONESTLY IT GETS SO MUCH WORSE THAN JUST “kys” NOW ADAYS
Yeah that’s modern society in general, but it’s true. The other day, I was called a loser because I didn’t want to get into an argument with a content creator and I withdrew from it because I don’t think anyone should tell me how I should or shouldn’t spend my money on things I would enjoy.
I remember seeing a yt short where a guy shows games that IGN rated 10/10 and he disagrees with those scores so he shows what score he'd give them. And man people were NOT happy. The comments were full of insults, people mocking him, calling him a fake gamer, saying that he makes IGN look good, attacking his appearance, and of course, threats. All of this simply because the guy felt the need to express his opinion. All because he disagrees with the majority. I can't imagine getting so angry at someone for not liking a fucking videogame as much as you. These fanboys are single handly ruining gaming for everyone because they think everyone should think the same. And it's not like he was calling all of the games he listed complete garbage, most of the games he showed he gave them a 8-9/10 and everyone completely flipped their fucking shit! Like is not giving a criticality acclaimed game a 10/10 means your saying its garbage to these people?? Christ it's sad what gaming has become.
I mean first of all Twitter is a shit hole and you won't find anything but cringe and cancer there. second, the type of people that spiderman 2 was made for are very vocal and opinionated
Look: up until roughly the 19th century, dueling was legal, and when someone disagreed with you (Not liking your favorite poet, roasting your shoes, etc.), you could always resolve things in a quick and satisfying manner, assuming you were sufficiently strapped. Then it was outlawed. And now we have sky-high rates of obesity and depression, and hardly anyone knows how to quick draw. This recent trend of increasing animosity among us gamerfolk is simply an indication that humanity is beginning to shift back towards its natural state. I, for one, support this societal shift, and I greatly anticipate the day that Gamestop employees have to duck behind the counter every time an Xbox user and a Playstation user are in the store together
The world is changing. Unfortunately, civility, rationalization, diplomacy, justification and peace are the last things that many individuals ever seek in life.
Like you said it's not even just gaming, it's everywhere politics etc. Critical thinking seems to be on the decline and there's this you're either with us or against us mentality. If you go against the common opinion it's deemed 'toxic'.
People, they think themselves bigger and better if they say mean things to others over the internet, rather than actually been mature enough to be courteous to strangers.
Just found your videos you got a new sub great stuff man and I totally agree even in the general sense people can’t agree to disagree anymore. someone has to be the “right one” in almost every situation now
Been here a long time and i have to say i like your pfp, P5 is great and so is Ryuji. Wanted to ask what are your thoughts on half-life and have you played the games?
I have not seen the specific tweet your talking about at 1:37 so maybe it was serious, but that quote tweet was probably a joke, that’s a meme retort you typically see in reaction images it lol
Oh trust me, they were super serious about it and so were the responses. One response was like "it's easier to send a pipe bomb in the mail than you think" and plenty of others.
Its not just gamers. Its people in general.

Hell, it feels like it was going downwards even before the pandemic.

This is unfortunately happening to people in general. An actual conversation is almost non-existent, it's just from one extreme to another.

2:34 The movie you’re talking about is The Untouchables. With Robert De Niro, Kevin Costner and Sean Connery. It deserves a rewatch, it’s so good!
Stumbled upon your channel but I completely agree.

Gamers. Gamers never change.

I don't think he is actually voicing his desire to kill him. He disagrees and thinks that would be a funny way of voicing his disagreement.

Brah who cares? Internet dialogue is not real dialogue. Never was, never should be.

I could go for hours on my thoughts on the Half-life series.
I may hate some Colored People after playing Call Of Duty MW2, whats so wrong with that
Romans 12:14-21. Seek peace, not revenge. Vengeance is a matter for God, NOT us worldly simpletons.
