This channel is amazing.. Really.. I like how you don't just focus on how good your plays were, but also what you could have done better and mistakes too.. I recently started playing League and most of the videos on RUclips simply show how easy it is to master some champs, but don't show how difficult the decision making is and how to improve. Thanks man!
I felt completely lost when it came to roaming, like I literally had no idea how to do it at all and everytime I tried it always failed miserably. After watching this video I can now say that you're a blessing Curtis, I have finally been able to understand how roaming works a bit more now and it's really making my climb better by far!
Discovered you yesterday and the first thing I learned from you that I've never even considered on a regular basis at least... is the scuttle rotation at 3:15. It has won me two games today. I've never heard anyone talk about the scuttle rotation like you do and I want to say thanks. I have improved a little and keep up the good work! PS. Also, recommended you to a few of my friends and they say they love your content also! :D
No problem at all man, scuttle fights really do win games haha. Glad I could help you on your climb. Thanks so much for helping me grow the channel, really appreciate it
Coach, why did I not find your channel earlier. This is legit the first guide I have ever read that actually explained roaming as a midlaner correctly, thank you.
Keep it up with your Mid Lane Fundamentals because it seriously help me getting out of Iron. Currently Bronze 2 because of your guides. Thank you a lot!
Can you do a video on specifically jungle tracking? It would be a great way to help people who are inexperienced with jg, are bad at jg, simply don’t want to learn the role or just don’t know specific timers and such to know how to deal with a jungler. Good things to point out would be: Common gank timers Good Deep wards and when to go for them How to/when you should invade an enemy jg What to do at scuttle fights/when you should expect one How to better set up your own jungler Keep the guides coming!! You actually read my mind, jungle tracking is going to be my next mid fundamentals video! Make sure you stay tuned for it, I'll cover all these things in detail :) Thanks for the support mate

wow I don't usually comment on videos, but after watching this and trying to use what you talked about I was able to carry 16/1/8 with fizz. This was so useful as I usually just stay in lane because I don't know when to roam. thank you :)
God damned Curtis i dont understand why you don't have millions of viewers. Although if it were, I don't think you could answer EVERY SINGLE comment XD. You are just awesome. Thank you so much for your work and dedication.
Dude I recommend your channel to every mid laner on my friends list. Insanely helpful content that deserves a sub and like for every video. Keep up the awesome content man!
Man I've just climbed from Gold IV to Platinium IV in like a week and a half thanks to your videos that actually are the best we can find on RUclips if we really wanna improve. I feel I now understand so much more things about the game, which gives me even more passion for it. I know I'm gonna climb even more, so for that, thank you, and I hope you will have the rewards you deserve for your hardwork ! Thanks again coach ! :D
And if I can add something, I don't know if it's on purpose but your prononciation is godlike, so people like me who aren't english fluent ( like the baguette I am ) can easily understand pretty much everything you say, and this is really satisfying :D
I discovered your channel a few days ago and I learned so much already it's insane... I've been playing since s1 but never took the time to learn about macro and stuff, I realize now that I missed A LOT of informations and a big part of the game for years. It's like I'm discovering LoL for the first time again. It's great because usually I would find this kind of video boring but you explain so well, and you make it interesting by bringing examples, that I can watch all these 40 min videos without any problem. I've always been a "casual" player but I began doing ranked recently to see how far I could go, and your channel is going to help me improve so much! So yeah just a little comment to say thanks for this great content
Wow awesome to hear man ! Love hearing these comments where people say they have had their passion for league reignited due to my content. Goodluck on your climb mate. Appreciate the support
Got to your channel by accident, and just had to share that because of your videos i feel like i have improved a lot macro wise. thank you, its amazing
People think they struggle with late game macro, when in reality 98% of the players I've worked with in d4 and below struggle in the first 20 minutes of the game, and the information they learn here allows them to understand their role better, which in turn gives them the knowledge to operate 30 mins+ effectively. I covered most of the macro topics within my mid game macro video, but I can see what I can do.
i dont know about anyone else, but when im chilling mid having a good time and i want to roam i will look and run at a lane and on my way over i will just think of that nice meal i tucked away last nigh, then i will just improvise when i get there.
All this info is gold. And then when I go to take it into my games I assess the game state and try to make strategic decisions and my teammates just go "ME BIG MAN ME SMASH PUNY ENEMY UNDER TOWER" and go 0/5 in the first 5min then rage quit.
@Coach Curtis maybe using your F keys might help you get into the habit of quickly panning your camera on sidelanes before a roam. Great Episode, keep them coming :))
One really important thing you didn't mention is how you are denying cs and exp from side lanes or junglers, especially that last play, their bot practically lost a full lvl + 300g. Just wanted to point that out, I'm really enjoying your videos, thanks a ton!
Probably the best informative league content out there and it’s for free? Gold mine thank you !!! Should have way more subs but kinda want to keep you a secret . 😂 keep up the good work!
your videos are so helpful, it really re teaches me the game properly after all these years. found lots of success watch videos on your channel and also helped me find a true role that i was very excited about. hopefully i can get a coaching session in very soon
man i really thank you SO Much for the kindlys and respect from you to your subsacribers and the explanation in you episode really well and making everything much easyer ,i get more CS and improve in my midlane becosue of your videos thanks you so much again and again big Hi to you from Dubai to you All where ever you at.
Stumbled on your channel a few days back- quality well describe gameplay! would like to se more frequent videos for your unranked to challenger series. I have referred a few friends to your channel.
Curtis, you are an actual legend! I've only been following your channel since (roughly) the start of the year but it's so great to see that you are really picking up attention and subscribers quickly! gone from like 2k to 10k in a couple months i think?! Also, I just wanna say (again) thank you: you are by far and away the best LoL coach I've seen. 0:25 sums up your really effective style of teaching so well - other 'coaches' will give specific examples and scenarios which I can (occasionally) repeat in my own games, whereas you teach ideas and principles about the game in a way that allows the player to REALLY learn, and even teach themselves at their own pace without a coach holding their hand every step of the way...
Wow thank you so much Barnaby for the kind words. That's my goal with my content, to allow you guys to improve at your own pace without me having to be with you. Appreciate the support over the last few months mate
How should I roam as a veigar? because farming and taking plates seems as a better option to me atleast first 15mins till I get GLP and boots. Thanks for the great video!
I have one question. If i am forced to recall with 1200 gold or something like that in mage match up something like ori vs lux is it worth to sell d ring for lost chapter or just buy second d ring, ref pot, dark seal boots or just buy as much components of lost chapter as i can
Never sell your DRing that early on, I'd buy a refillable/darkseal + amp tomb. Sometimes against skill shot matchups I like even rushing tier 2 boots like Mercs. But never sell dorans that early
@@CoachCurtis when is it okay to sell Dorans when its the difference between a getting a item and not getting a item? like for completed second or third item? or for some components that offer greater stats than dorans for those second or third items? would it be around the time that you start autoing a lot less and let your abilities do most of the waveclear?
Most trouble I have is relying too much on help on taking down the mid tower when I roam alot as fizz. Fizz seems hard to take down turrets alone without the help of a jungler.
My main piece of advice with Fizz, is once you're ahead try and get your jg to start doing rift heralds so you can slowly begin to break towers and break open the map
Hey curtis, i just wanted to ask a video explainning how to deal with scaling champions, like vlad o kassadin... which become a big factor in teamfights (insta deleting your whole backlack xD) how game dinamic would be optimal for no getting to that point, and how to punish properly the scaling champ farming safely (i mean, roam, but in case of not getting anything good from roaming)
Hey Augusto, I have a few videos on that in my channel already, but all through the lenses of specific champs. I like to have speciifc examples, e.g 'zoe into vlad or orianna into kassadin' because it changes matchup to matchup
I really love everything you do! been following this channel for quite some time and i really learn a lot in all these videos! Keep up the good work man!
Hey Curtis, what is your opinion on Katarina as a viable pick currently? I'd love to see a detailed guide on Katarina macro plays/game strategy if that's something you'd consider.
Hey I love the vids. I think In the fundamental videos you should show examples of when we shouldn’t do something, maybe show a play that looks good but it really isn’t. Keep it up! Never mind lol. You beat me to it
I discovered this channel and learned a lot thanks ! I am actually an Ekko main and your video really helped me, i am also trying to master Akali, could you make an in depth guide on her as you did on Ekko ? With the mini-game stuff ( helped me a lot). etc. Thanks and keep on this good content! You deserve my subscription :)
Thank you very much man, appreciate the sub. I think Akali is a little weak atm, so until she receives a significant buff I won't really be looking to do a guide on her quite yet.
@@CoachCurtis Ok thanks for the advice, i will sure try to switch on Katarina (like the mobility aspect). I turned on the bell so if you make a katarina video i will be right there. :)
Great job as always Coach, thanks again! Quick Question: Wich champion you suggest against teams with 2+ Bruisers? Im strugglin against teams like Darius+Sett+Morde all in one team.
I have a question. If the enemy mid is out of lane (back/roaming), when is it more worth it to just stay in lane and get some turret platings, or how to determine if it's more worth to go roam/follow or just shove the wave and get some free gold from the platings? Super useful video all around though!
Well this ties into 2 things.. 1) Champ identity - Does you champ thrive in river fights? Is your champ good at cleaning up? Is your champ able to even walk into river without getting turned on? Is your champ at key spikes? etc 2) Skirmish awareness- How long will the fight go for? Who has summoners? etc etc
Hey bud! Awesome videos there, you explain so well every single thing that happens in the game i'm really learning so much even after playing this game many years. I was just thinking about why don't you make a Twitch channel and make live coaching subs/followers or smh like that? Could be entertaining to watch and will be good for your publicity
Can you talk about life stuff? Like how important sleep is / how many games a day to practice (learning from youtube guides or just analyze your own / pros games?) Idk if you remember me but im a masters player and recently dropped to d2 and i cany even play on my plat acc. It dropped from p1 to p4 in 2 days. Honestly an in depth guide on how to focus league while living healthy would be insane. Anyways keep up the good work we all appriciate it!
Good video and nice examples, although i would like to see the fundamentals of roaming like when and how to roam, path for avoiding possible wards, amount of time i can waste on the roam, after the roam I base or back to lane, etc. This is just a commentary for improve your videos and maybe you dont have many low elo players and thats why you dont add this content. To finish i thank you for taking the time to made this videos and i would appreciate a tempo video because i cant find anything
Until he does, I'd recommend watching Katlife - he isn't nearly as informative all the time (like, he doesn't explain every moment of the game since his videos are mostly live commentary rather than VOD reviews), but there's a lot to learn there.
I was wondering something about the orianna play at 34 min. If you saw the j4 on the minimap, what would you think about just hiding in the river bush and wait for j4 to engage then counter engage ? would it optmize/correct the roaming error ? And again very solid video, thank you so much, i'm considering leaving the jungle (where i suck anyway) to go midlane.
I actualy think the reason the j4 came back and Anivia was so on the ball with the TP was because the midlane side brush was warded, so they already knew I was walking down the river. OR maybe there was a deep ward in the river somewhere, so I think as soon as j4 shows I should immediately back out.
@@CoachCurtis Ok, these are like chess problems ^^ But i can see how bad my decision making would be. I'm pretty aware about, farm, sidelane pressure and cooldows imortance. But I stuggle so much in choosing the good fights. I guess I should actually stick to my jungle and get more experience with kha/ekko, your mid vids will always be useful anyway as they help me understand more about what my midlaner is working on. I keep on your channel =) Thanks a lot man !
Hello, thank you for your content ! Just a quick question regarding your "missed" gank at 35 with orianna. If on the top side, lee-sin and rumble manage to get a kill on singed, would you call it a draw, despte the fact that nautilus get killed ? Or its a loss for your team anyway
Yes, i love your epdison, especialy the ward guide one, i am a diamond 2 player and i still have no idea of warding work but i start learn it from you and i got to say you change my whole game. Goodjob and i hope your chanel will grow big
31:24 If you were to go for a reset there, but you walked out of vision into bot river (for instance, the pixel brush you had pinked) to do so, wouldn't that also relieve pressure since it gives the same illusion of you going bot?
how is this free?
Trying to help out the community on there climb!

Absolutely amazing video as always, really enjoyed this one!
Glad to hear it mate , thanks for tuning in :)
Great content, I'm glad I found your channel ! Thanks for your work !
Thanks for the support mate :)
seriously dope channel dude
Can you make mid lane tier list?It would really help me out because i dont think the tier lists in youtube are that accurate.Cough*cough*pro guides.
I actually have an updated one within my discord in the FAQ channel
Great job as always Coach, thanks again!
Quick Question: Wich champion you suggest against teams with 2+ Bruisers? Im strugglin against teams like Darius+Sett+Morde all in one team.
No problem Nico! I'm loving Cassiopeia in those positions, that's actually why Cassio is quite strong in the mid lane atm
@@CoachCurtis Thanks for the answer Coach!
Congratz on 10k subs. I main TF and learned a lot from your videos. :)
Thanks Brian, appreciate the sub!
Is your champ at key spikes? etc
2) Skirmish awareness- How long will the fight go for? Who has summoners? etc etc
love this stuff.
Thanks Albin :)
Clearly needed this, thanks!
No problem Sebastian thanks for tuning in :)
Could you please make a video on azir. Thank you
Azir is on the list :) No problem
Hey bud! Awesome videos there, you explain so well every single thing that happens in the game i'm really learning so much even after playing this game many years. I was just thinking about why don't you make a Twitch channel and make live coaching subs/followers or smh like that? Could be entertaining to watch and will be good for your publicity
I do stream occasionally once or twice a week! on twitch.tv/coachcurtis :) Thanks for tuning in mate!
Wow! Your content is so helpful! Thank you for posting
My pleasure Paul
your vids are nuts man.
Thanks man
never clicked on a video so fast in my life LOL
Hahaha thanks for tuning in Ana :)
You're so impressive... Congratulations! Love ur channel.
Thank you very much :)
I had a similar contest request recently in my discord, I think I'll actually release something on these things in the next few days so stay tuned :)
Carry Potter : D
Ayyyy hahaha
My revolver Hahah, so fucking educational loved the vids all day working while studying to play lol as soon as I'm off.
Don't have enough time to watch this video but thanks, gotta continue tilting
Your content is truly amazing
Thanks man
@@CoachCurtis im binge watching all your video rn while taking notes of everything, mid fundamental, champion guides ... x)
Will you do guides for ADC later on
Unfortunately I won't be doing anything with ADC
Good video and nice examples, although i would like to see the fundamentals of roaming like when and how to roam, path for avoiding possible wards, amount of time i can waste on the roam, after the roam I base or back to lane, etc. This is just a commentary for improve your videos and maybe you dont have many low elo players and thats why you dont add this content. To finish i thank you for taking the time to made this videos and i would appreciate a tempo video because i cant find anything
My next video is on tempo so stay tuned :)
you are doing an amazing job thank you, i just wish you were a kata main to go more in depth about her but great vids over all.
Thanks man, I'll eventually do something with Kat so stay tuned :)
Awesome video, thank you.
Can you do Macro play for your next mid lane fundamentals video?
ruclips.net/video/9Ciz-x21GsQ/видео.html this might help you in the mean time
hi coach are u able to do a guide on katarina ?
I second this
Until he does, I'd recommend watching Katlife - he isn't nearly as informative all the time (like, he doesn't explain every moment of the game since his videos are mostly live commentary rather than VOD reviews), but there's a lot to learn there.
thanks !!
I'll probs do Kat in the future, but not for a while because I've never played her before and she isn't my type of champ
GRACIAS CURTIS
Hello, thank you for your content ! Just a quick question regarding your "missed" gank at 35 with orianna. If on the top side, lee-sin and rumble manage to get a kill on singed, would you call it a draw, despte the fact that nautilus get killed ? Or its a loss for your team anyway
Being a wildrift player trying to understand.Though the mechanics in lol Wr is different 😅
Thanks to you, my skill have improve alot
Awesome to hear Blaster, thanks for tuning in
Yes, i love your epdison, especialy the ward guide one, i am a diamond 2 player and i still have no idea of warding work but i start learn it from you and i got to say you change my whole game. Goodjob and i hope your chanel will grow big
Bro! You rock!
31:24 If you were to go for a reset there, but you walked out of vision into bot river (for instance, the pixel brush you had pinked) to do so, wouldn't that also relieve pressure since it gives the same illusion of you going bot?
Yeah I think that was the play to be honest, you've hit the nail on the head there.
you are doing to much , great job ❤
Thanks Troth!!
