Oh my goodness that costume is epic. I am not good at sewing/crafts so it was, so was fun to see the whole process. Side note: the drawing of the costume concept is impressive. It would be fun to see some of your other drawings.
You did a great job on your dog's costume! Years ago when my kids were little we had a golden retriever who went out trick or treating with them dressed in his headband with lightup devil horns attached. I wasn't nearly as creative as you but it got him some dog treats while he was out with them.
Oh gosh,.. it turned out so cuuuute! You did a fantastic job! I can’t wait to see your witch costume! My dog, a silly American pitbull, (RIP) really loved wearing clothes. Seriously! She would roll around in laundry until she managed to get her head into a shirt, tank top, underwear…whatever she could. Then prance around proudly. She had lots of Halloween costumes. She was a Bee, A Devil, A butterfly, A Princess… so many things. I’d dress her up, and say, “Go show Papa!” And she’d dash away and find him, and he’d “oooh” and “aaaah” and tell her she was so pretty. Oh, she loved that! I sure miss my girl. We had her 15 years. Now, we have a crazy Leopard Catahoula dog who does Not like clothes. Ah well….
Hey there Claire, your dog is just the cutest flying monkey, the costume you made is really good. Well done. We did cheat and buy a pair of wings and a witches/wizards hat from the pet shop for the cats this year Salem will be a black bat and Maurice will be a wizard. 😂 I might make a tiny hat for Rocket and hollow out a tiny pumpkin/gourd as a cauldron that he can eat the chunks from it as well our Rankin Dragon has gone not sleep forn them winter now so he won't be awake for Halloween and the snakes are not easy to put things on 😆. The Tarantulas are good for decorating our house 😂 we don't really celebrate Halloween here but I found an interactive Halloween card game escape room we can do from home so with the kids we will have a go at that game for Halloween and watch a film of their chioice, and we will do some pumpkin carving and I'll make some treat with the pumpkin innerds 😊
OMG!!! I'm obsessed! The Wizard of Oz is my childhood special interest. I have two cats named after the Wicked characters: Glinda and Elphaba! They're only a year old, and don't like clothes. But I could totally imagine them in their applicable outfits. Anyway...amazing! The flying monkey costume you made turned out so great! Oh, and the drawing you did is super cute, too! Wonderful job!
Very cute! You did a great job! You ended up having enough trim after all it seems! I don't have a pet. Even when I was a young and we had a dog, we didn't dress her up.
Oh my goodness! This came out so gooooood! I was excited about it since you mentioned your dog costumes in Porch Coffee. I'm so happy you included the pics of the old costumes too! Your pupper is so cute and the costumes are so clever. *chefs kiss* Loved the trim configuration too. I definitely relate to the one trip to the craft store battle. Same thing happens with home depot...
That looks really cute on the dog. I’m kind of glad that I’m not the only one who has to sit there a while and figure out how to best sow up a circular thing. I had to make three pin cushions to get it to where I was happy with it. I also get the “darn need to go to the store again” thing. For me it’s usually having to get a particular tool to get something done that I can’t do without. The pictures should be really cute. Love the costume.
I am impressed you did an amazing job. The last time I put my cats in Halloween costumes they both fell over as if they were dying just like your dog😂😂. Prince was a Bat because he's a grouchy old man, and Saffy was a beautiful unicorn.
Utterly brilliant! I particularly enjoyed the wing part. A great job, especially as you haven't used the quilting foot before. The use of the Sharpie really brought the quilting into focus. Of course he looked cute as well!
On topic: OMG SOOOO CUTE!!! My cats would never wear a costume for like even a second. 😹 Off topic: You have a tattoo?? I don't know why that was so surprising lol. what does it say?
I do have a tattoo! Maybe I will share what it says in an upcoming livestream! My animals don't love costumes either, sometimes I can get Ernie to wear a hat for a few moments.
+woodshedtheory *Ye could convert the dog to a Gryphon:* The mascot of Fighting ONE FORTY-THREE "Sans Reproache" USN is a winged black panther, thus the "World Famous Pukin' Dogs" as a slogan. Callsign: Dog.
Those wings look awesome with the quilting, cool technique!
Excellent video and great editing😊 anyone can learn from this about the process of making anything, not just flying monkey costumes
I'm glad it was helpful

I'm so glad you liked it! Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorite books.
Very cute! You did a great job!
You ended up having enough trim after all it seems!
I don't have a pet. Even when I was a young and we had a dog, we didn't dress her up.
You made whole costume
Nicely done
thank you!
I love it! I dressed up as a flying monkey once! ❤
Aw he’s so adorable!

Yes the same thing does happen at home depot! It's the worst lol
That looks really cute on the dog.

The pictures should be really cute. Love the costume.
The circle sewing is always a head-scratcher - I'm about to sew a witch hat so I am bracing myself for the circles lol
@@WoodshedTheoryFor some weird reason I do like struggling for a bit. It makes it great to finally figure it out. Good luck with the hat.
I always love seeing your dog costumes! So cute and well done!
Omg the cuteness!!!!!! ❤❤❤ None of my cats would have ever tolerated a costume so I never had the joy
I hear you there on the cats - one of mine will tolerate for a picture, but the other would shred curtains before wearing an outfit
I am impressed you did an amazing job. The last time I put my cats in Halloween costumes they both fell over as if they were dying just like your dog😂😂. Prince was a Bat because he's a grouchy old man, and Saffy was a beautiful unicorn.

Flyyyy my pretttiesssss heeheeheehee

Oh my Gosh, too freaking cute!!! You did such an amazing job! 🤩
You def need to make a Beanie with ears. Super cute Claire.
It's so adorable! Great job. Honestly, I look at it and think how did She have the patience to make that? It's so good.
This is AMAZING, and your creativity is over-the-moon! Your pup is the perfect model. Great video and well-done!
Thank you very much :)
I have missed “crafty Claire”! It looks really great. I can’t believe how calm he was when you tried it on him.
I missed her too! Welcome back crafty Claire
It’s really cute! Thanks for the reminder to watch the video 😊
Thanks!
