The FIA needs to start a racing series for dead stock cars like these, because the arguments are painful and the Nurburgring times are not good enough. Anyone else want to see that? Trouble is that the manufacturers won't have the balls, the owners are blatantly not professional racing drivers and Ferrari are so f*cking annoying about this sort of stuff that if you were a LaFerrari customer and you entered in a race, they'd probably ban you from buying their cars for life. Genuinely, I love their cars, but Ferrari themselves are so damn proud and arrogant that they think they're god's gift to the world and that we should be lucky to even be allowed to buy them, what a crap attitude for a company like them.
That would be an awesome race to see! However I don't think any of these companies would want their cars being raced like that, not just Ferrari, because if their car loses badly in front of millions of people, the value of that hypercar goes down significantly. I could see Koenigsegg doing it maybe, but none of the others. They want everyone to debate the merits and flaws of each, it gets people talking and creates a sort of mysticism about their cars that would disappear if it was conclusively proved which one was the fastest.
Sam S Yeah, that's why (sorry for the cliché) I miss the old days. I say, win on sunday, sell on monday. That's how you prove a car is any good, and that's what racing was once about. I like modern cars, but people just don't race them these days.
I agree, Ferrari is a bit full of itself for a company that isn't in a league of its own anymore.
Thing is u cant race a dead stock car. Its not safe without rollbars, fuel regulations and million things that go into racing safety.
Suraj John Believe me, with the stiffness of these chassis and the carbon construction, they're plenty safe enough. They all incorporate an LMP1 cockpit, which if you've ever seen a seriously brutal le mans crash, you'll have seen that every time, the only completely intact component is the cockpit and the driver walks away. Sure, some modifications may need to be made like harnesses and fuel cells, but safety regs differ between race series and I don't think you'd have to do very much to these cars to make them race able. I mean, they're all claimed to be built for the track aren't they?
Agera all the way. But the 1:One would destroy all of them, I mean, 1 362 horsepower?!

189 mph = 304 kmt.
But almost 250 mph (402,50 kmt) is INCREDIBLE FAST... And Police also do have certain margin for Error.. (but don't U think 189 mph is fast enough...??) But I too heard it was in Texas though.. So at least the "Texans" still got it right.. "Everything is bigger in Texas".. Even the Speeding Tickets..well, they can have it.. But it's funny though we both have heard different Speeding Speeds (some place in there lay's the truth..), I've infact never heard anything about how 'BIG' the actual Speeding Ticket was in dollars.. Maybe it was in Canadian, so it's not worth the paper it's printed on.. lol...

As far as I can tell, the agera is about the supercar experience(brutality, theater, power), the LaFerrari and P1 are both about the blistering track performance, and the 918 is very fast, but can also be driven every day.
The Koenigsegg One:1 would destroy all four of them on the track. It's basically a road legal GT1 race car, but with over twice the horsepower.

Simply not true....I can almost guarantee the McLaren and LaFerrari would destroy the Agera on the track....Koenigsegg is a fine maker of cars, but they have next to no experience on the track. Speed, especially on the track, isn't all about power (918 is a significant amount heavier and less powerful than the P1, yet it's faster around the Nurburgring). Just because a car looks like it handles well doesn't mean it actually does.

The noise from that Agera. That is just awesome, the sound that you can only get from a V8 with real displacement.
None of them are trying you can hear them all at half throttle and changing gears at low revs, the Agera R would have them all on the straight but in the bends, it would have them all up its arse and them past it but its still pretty damn good in the corners, it is the most power full one there, with 1140bhp, P1 has 903bhp, 918 spyder has 875bhp with the La ferrari making 950bhp....the koenigsegg, would simply blitz them, 918 would have it of the line but till about 100mph....the agera would blast past it, im not looking to have an arguement im just saying the truth:)

Why did they use an Agera? Koenigsegg One is the fastest Koenigsegg. The Regera may be even faster, and is a hybrid.

HELLO PEOPLE. this was NOT a race! these are not real race car drivers these are owners out for a fun Rally. there not even wearing helmets, they are nowhere near running these cars at full capacity and not at all with any real aggresive competitive driving. its understood between all the drivers not to even get close to one another. "a gentleman's race"
After seeing these four in real life i can assure people that the 918 Spyder is kind of a dissapointment in terms of looks and sound. P1 looks very exotic but too clinical i think. LaFerrari and Agera (R) were definitely the most fascinating of these.
I disagree, I think it's the best looking. The P1 rear is disgusting, I think it's the rear lights and the LaFerraris front is vulgar, that huge front bumper and the amount of vents it has ruins the lines of the car. The 918 looks beautiful, you can tell it wasn't designed by children.
I found the LaFerrari looking vulgar on pictures, a lot better on the road though. It might also be the colour on this 918 Spyder, i think it looks a lot better in black.

People like to call the GT-R out because it has a fanbase behind it, and a lot of people try placing it with cars that are obviously made for hyper performance, and not super car performance

The P1, the 918 and La Ferrari were lap tested by Tiff and Chris Harris at Portimao. The P1 had Trofeo R tyres and set a fastest laptime of 1.52 at Portimao.
But over 20 of the World superbikes stock 600 riders set qualifying laps of 1.48 on the same track with similar weather conditions. Infact Danillo pertruci did a 1.45 second lap on Stock Ducati 1098R back in 2011 and Tom Sykes did a 1.41 back in 2011. The Tests at Laguna revealed similar results, all cars were 8 to 11 seconds slower than the bikes.

TEH KOTAK Twice as fast? Koenigsegg's old models, the CCR and the CCX both held consecutive lap records for the Nurburgring, and still maintain 33rd and 34th places respectively. I think it's fairly safe to say that a 918, a P1 or the LaFerrari will be twice as fast.
TEH KOTAK Koenigsegg doesn't only have extremely much power, but it has got some world class track performance aswell. It says a lot about a car if you can make a full wheel turn at 160kph....

The Laferrari is my least favorite out of the bunch. Agera R is my favorite one with amazing top speed. Although the P1 has the best technology and performance. P1's Nurburgring lap time is rumored to be 6:30 seconds that is hard to beat.

Lorenzo Locchi I can absolutely guarantee that the P1 lapped the Nurburgring in well under 7 minutes. It has 903bhp and weighs 3280lbs. All of this 6:58-6:59 stuff is a load of crap. So what if McLaren hasn't released the lap time for the P1, that doesn't prove a damn thing. They're just waiting for Ferrari to release their time.
But You Ain't Got No Legs It will be very interesting to see the P1's official lap time. I think they haven't put it out because they believe they can achieve a better lap time than what they got by making some adjustments. The new Porsche 918 set the bar pretty high with 6:57s.
But You Ain't Got No Legs i heard that the car has a problem running at top performance for that long and is why it never got an official lap time. Honestly the p1 has claimed that it could do it under 7 seconds which i believe but until i see the evidence i still think the 918 holds the track record.

You are wrong on that, just comparing between the P1 and the Porsche 918, the 918 beats the P1 on a track, simply because it has faster aceleration (4 wheel drive) and you can search videos where that's proven (Top-Gear lap time, and others) 918 it's also faster on a half mile race (check that one out too), but the P1 takes the lead only in a 1mile race due to its higher top speed.
What the hell?......I'm #disappointed . I wanted to see them all go head to head. Like as in a race with just the four of them pushed to the limit.

I was there on tt circuit assen on Supercarsunday, The porsche 918 wins with the dragrace between the P1 and the koenigsegg because it's a hybrid. It was very very very beautiful to see.
I so want that LaFerrari, it's such a beautiful car with an amazing engine note, I don't care if it's slower than the rest, it just has so much charisma compared to the rest.

jake rae Turbos are smarter on these hybrid super cars because the electric motors provide instant torque turbo lag is not an issue. So turbos would give you more top end.

Until someone gets to test them back to back on the same circuit it is just speculation....the LaFerrari does however have more horsepower and is lighter.
but not if it is reinforced with chassis, no it's not light, if that's lighter at the same time faster, it will loose balance on the road depending in your type of wheels!!

The fact we can even have this conversation makes me happy. Its so exciting to see companies like McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche make 3 cars that compete directly with each other like this. One day we can get a clean run with all of them and finally put the debate to rest.

I'd take the Porsche all day long... Doesn't matter it might be slower than LaFerrari und P1.. Just the only one I like to look at and that makes a fairly big part in that decision!

I like the Ferrari, but the fact is that the 918 went round the Nürburgring in 6.57 minutes which makes it the third fastest production car to ever lap the ring, 3rd only to two trackbred Radical single seaters. The P1 has done a lap but Mclaren won't say how fast, only that it's under 7 minutes, although I'm convinced it's the fastest. The LaFerrari hasn't been round yet, it has only posted a time on Ferrari's own test track and it's highly unlikely that Ferrari will ever let the P1 and 918 match it on Fiorano. So neither you or I will never know, unless private owners get together and pit them against each other. I still prefer the Ferrari, and would have the P1 over the 918 aswell, but unlike you I base my assumptions on fact, not preference.
***** Because the Porsche has posted the 3rd fastest time on the ring, and Ferrari hasn't. And probably won't. and these cars are not about top speed. I would have the Ferrari over the P1 and 918, but I don't think it can match the Porsche and certainly not the P1.
Kristian Brandt The exclusivity of ferrari, brand and heritage make it the most desirable by a fair amount..(the noise itself would be enough for me) and I personally think its faster than the 918. Probably the mclaren would win on track though thanks to its non legal race setting..
