I used to stay at my Aunt's and uncles on Overdale Road, New Mills at the weekends and school holidays. I used to wake up to the smell of the Swizzels factory back in the 1970's, every kids dream, like you said. But at the bottom of Overdale Road, New Mills, is the canal. I used to while away the hours watching boats, barges and other craft pass by. Doing the odd drawing and doodles. My uncles worked for British Rail and used to take me with him to a signal box he worked in, it was next to a level crossing not to gar from his house. I also used to stay there when it coincided with steam trains going by.
My first ever time seeing a steam train was,
    "Leander 5690"
Thanks for bringing those great childhood memories and times flooding back to me 👍😎👍

@@FoxesAfloat Thank You much, I am disabled and one of my hobbies has been building a sound system for the last about ten - eleven years buying all my components from recording studios and large venues like large Churches that have either upgraded or closed down, because of this, the system is way way past sane for just about any home but,,, I was board and didn’t just want what everyone else had, with that I am always listening for new music I can enjoy, Sooo, Thanks Much and talk Tu Ya Later Gents!!!

Tom, same here, although I was a kid back then. It was Sunday night prime-time in US and it was one of the first generation of color TV programs. I was stunned to just learn that it was known in the UK as it was a western. That was before we saw any British TV in US where I grew up. Great show but would not be politically appropriate now.

The drone footage of the 2 bridges near the start was simply awesome guys !! And to get footage of "Tornado" crossing was a real bonus.

I LOVE your channel for so many reasons :) 1. the production and editing is superb on every video 2. you guys filmed the entire construction of your floating palace which really taught me a lot about these vessels and its easy to see how much love, effort and creativity went into its construction, you gave ol'Silver a true personality :D 3. your guys relationship is the first one I've seen that is as strong, devoted and loving as the relationship I share with my Justin
